Closed on Thursdays, August 16, 2023. Today, I wanted to have cheese ramen at Sanpei, but they were closed for Obon holidays. So, I decided to try their soy milk ramen instead. The restaurant "Ramen Closed on Thursdays" is located on Kashiwadai Street in Obihiro, near Ayana. The exterior of the restaurant is interesting with a hexagonal brown wall, and the interior is clean and bright with counter seats, 2-seater tables, and 4-seater tables. I ordered the soy milk miso ramen for 860 yen. You can choose between medium or thick noodles, and I chose medium straight noodles. The ramen came with meatballs, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, okra, wood ear mushrooms, seaweed, shredded red chili peppers, and nori. The broth was creamy and rich with a hint of spiciness, complementing the noodles well. It was delicious and I will definitely come back to try their soy milk miso ramen again. Thursday is the regular holiday at Thursday-san, so I went there after a long time. They have introduced a ticket machine. I chose the "Soy Milk Miso Ramen for 860 yen + Boiled Egg for 100 yen" that caught my eye. When I handed over the ticket, they asked me if I wanted thin noodles or medium-thick noodles. I asked for medium-thick noodles. The ramen arrived promptly! The visual was just as I had imagined. First of all, the soup was thick and rich. The noodles were on the thicker side, which matched well with the rich broth. The boiled egg was nice and creamy. Instead of chashu, there were meatballs in the ramen. It was rich, but I managed to finish the soup too! Next time, I want to try their regular ramen. Thank you for the meal!

It's snowy and cold today, so I decided to visit a ramen shop for some warm comfort food. "Ramen - Closed on Thursdays" is located on Kashiwadai Street in Obihiro, near Ayana. The exterior is a unique hexagonal building with brown walls, two floors high. Inside, it's clean and bright with 7 counter seats, 1 table for 2, and 3 tables for 4. There's no break time, so I usually come here for snacks, but today I came for lunch. I ordered the regular Miso Ramen with soy milk broth for 860 yen and added butter for 100 yen (tax included). I also got a mini Chashu rice bowl for 350 yen (tax included). The noodles are medium-thick and straight, with a good chewy texture. The toppings include meatballs, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, okra, wood ear mushrooms, wakame seaweed, shredded chili pepper, and nori. The soy milk miso broth is rich and creamy, with a mild flavor that eliminates any meaty smell. It's slightly spicy but also has a nice depth and thickness that coats the noodles well. It's delicious and exactly to my liking. The Chashu rice bowl is tender and flavorful with a sweet and savory sauce. I will definitely come back for the soy milk miso ramen. Thank you for the meal!

I went to eat a light ramen. I purchased it at the ticket machine. I ordered soy sauce ramen with a soft-boiled egg topping and medium thick noodles. It was brought to me in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The flavor is light, but it has a nice aroma, maybe it's chicken broth? The person I went with had the salt ramen, which was also very delicious.

The moment it was brought to the table, a delightful miso aroma tickled my nose. The soup had the familiar spicy kick of miso ramen along with the creamy richness of soy milk. Despite being soy milk-based, the flavor was surprisingly intense. The saltiness lingers in the throat. The noodles were chewy, typical of miso ramen. Okra, alongside green onions, added a unique touch. The star-shaped appearance was visually appealing. In addition to seaweed and wood ear mushrooms, there were plenty of toppings, with the standout being the floating chicken meatballs. While unusual as a topping, they lacked distinctiveness in taste and texture. They were neither crispy nor chewy, neither juicy nor tender...hmm.

The noodles can be chosen from medium to thick, and today I chose medium straight noodles. The noodles were delicious with a good firmness. The ingredients included meatballs, menma (bamboo shoots), finely chopped green onions, okra, wood ear mushrooms, wakame seaweed, shredded red chili pepper, and nori seaweed. The soup had a slight thickness, the soy milk was rich and mild, eliminating any animal smell, with a bit of spiciness. It was a delicious soup. I will come back to eat the soy milk miso ramen again. I have been curious about this shop for a while. This time, I tried their regular shoyu ramen and it was just to my liking. The noodles were not too light or too rich, just right. I was able to choose the type of noodles, and I went with the regular ones, which turned out to be my favorite thin noodles.

Located on Berlin Street, Ramen Regular Holiday is on Thursdays. It is situated along the weekend jogging route and I always passed by, curious about this ramen shop. Today, after getting a haircut after work, I was able to visit for the first time for dinner. The barber shop nearby mentioned that it was surprisingly good according to other customers. Since the barber shop is closed on Thursdays, the barber himself had never tried it. Inside, the shop was more spacious than I had expected. Being alone, it felt even bigger. I ordered the Miso Chashu Ramen (1000 yen) at the ticket machine right away. Ever since moving to Hokkaido, I tend to choose miso ramen as my first choice. You can choose between regular and medium-thick noodles. I chose the medium-thick noodles, which paired well with the miso ramen. The soup had a good umami flavor from the first few sips. The chashu was thin and tender, but overall, the toppings were somewhat lacking in impact. Considering the price, maybe I wasn't very hungry, but my taste buds and stomach were a bit underwhelmed. The name of the shop is unique, so I was hoping for a tricky aspect to the taste as well, but maybe I was being a bit greedy. I received a 50 yen discount coupon for my next visit, so I look forward to trying a different flavor of ramen next time.

I asked Ramen Teikyubi wa Mokuyobi-san about their regular holiday. It's my first visit. The name of the restaurant is unique, isn't it? I will definitely not go on Thursdays. In that sense, it's a friendly name. As a miso lover, when visiting a new restaurant, I always decide to try miso first. When I entered the restaurant, the first thing to do was to buy a meal ticket. Without hesitation, I chose miso. The staff informed me that I could choose between "medium-thick and thin noodles." This was unexpected! This time, I chose thin noodles. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. The appearance was a classic miso ramen. When I took a bite, it tasted like the old-fashioned miso ramen. It had a strong sweet and salty miso flavor, but it wasn't too heavy, it was a gentle and light miso ramen. Next time, I will try the medium-thick noodles.

The miso soup had a hint of sweetness but was thin and lacked depth of flavor. The medium noodles were ordinary and lacked any distinctive features. Overall, I will not be returning as the taste was nothing special and can be found anywhere.

I was attracted by the name and decided to visit. The fact that they make sure to never mistake their regular closing day as Thursday is impressive naming. I ordered the spicy miso ramen right away using the small ticket machine near the entrance. You can choose between medium curly noodles and thin curly noodles, and I chose the thin curly noodles without hesitation. The soup, with its animal-based broth and spicy miso, was delicious! The noodles were perfectly coated in the soup and tasted amazing! I'm glad I was drawn in by the name, it was a great find!

The soup is a double soup with a traditional refreshing miso flavor and a pork bone base. It's more light than rich. However, there was a clump of noodles, so I hope they can fix that. The restaurant name is interesting, so it's easy to remember.

The miso ramen cost 780 yen. The interior of the restaurant has red and black tables and chairs, giving it a stylish feel. The staff consists of the owner and a female employee. When I sat down, the staff brought my meal ticket and I chose thin noodles, which arrived in about 5-6 minutes. The ramen looked very beautiful. The noodles were soft, maybe too thin for miso ramen. The soup was delicious, with a tonkotsu base, but it felt like something was missing, like an extra umami flavor. The toppings included rare wood ear mushrooms, which are not common in Obihiro. This restaurant is convenient as it does not have a break time, allowing customers to visit at odd hours. The parking lot can be a bit crowded, making it difficult to park. Click. Miso ramen for 780 yen. There are two types of noodles, thin noodles and medium thick noodles, and I chose thin noodles. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The soup is rich and delicious, not too strong in pork bone flavor, and you can taste the sweetness of the vegetables. It goes well with miso. The thin noodles have a nice chewy texture and are easy to eat. It goes down smoothly. The chashu is juicy and delicious. The seasoned bamboo shoots and crunchy wood ear mushrooms are also good.
