President of Sheriroze Co., personnel education expert, and director of the Manner Beauty School, Toshihide Igaki here. I visited M Seika at the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market for their employee training and the day before, I went on a company tour. When I mentioned to President T that I wanted to have lunch at a wholesale market, we ended up coming to this restaurant. There were many autographs of celebrities, including Ishichan, displayed here. It's a popular place. Looking at the menu, there were so many delicious options that I had a hard time deciding, which is unusual for me (laughs). In the end, I ordered my favorite items a la carte: grilled hokke, rice, crab miso soup, and potato mochi along with salt-boiled asparagus. President T ordered sushi. I was surprised by the crab miso soup! The bowl was the size of a rice bowl and it had plenty of crab in it, with a rich crab flavor coming through. I was deeply impressed after just one sip. I was worried about whether I could finish the rice, which was served in a rice bowl, but it was so delicious that I finished it all. I forgot to take a picture of the salt-boiled asparagus, which was about 3 centimeters in diameter and had a juicy umami flavor, so tasty. The potato mochi was as chewy as real mochi and delicious. Everything in Hokkaido, whether it's produce or seafood, is delicious no matter what you eat. Thank you for the meal.

Off-market shop. Around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. While other shops were closed, this shop was open so I went in. I forgot to take a photo, but they had a wide variety of soups, and I ordered miso soup with shrimp heads in it. The broth was delicious! The shrimp fry had a nice texture. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was cozy. The staff were kind and friendly.

I happened to be near the lunchtime outside market, so I decided to have some seafood. Unfortunately, the first choice restaurant I wanted to try was temporarily closed because the owner was out fishing. So, I ended up at this restaurant which had very reasonable lunch prices. However, I was in the mood for a proper sushi meal today. I decided to skip the lunch menu and ordered the Wakakoma nigiri and the Nanban shrimp head soup. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the food arrived. The sweet Botan shrimp was amazing! It was incredibly sweet and delicious. The medium fatty tuna and lean tuna were also top-notch, as expected from real tuna. The abalone, crab, amberjack, scallop, surf clam, salmon, uni, and ikura were all outstanding, reflecting the quality of the outside market. The flounder was also excellent. Everything was delicious. The soup was also tasty.

Daikyo Sushi Wakakoma focuses on using top-quality ingredients with exceptional freshness, a blend of three types of rice for the shari, red vinegar blend for the vinegar, and seaweed that adds a great texture and flavor. The zangi was surprisingly delicious, with a marinade of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic giving it a tasty kick, and a crispy skin that was enjoyable. The lunch menu featured a variety of fresh sushi items, with highlights including fresh herring with a hint of ginger, yellowtail, sea bream, sweet shrimp, and egg. While some items like the salmon felt a bit watery, the overall quality of the sushi was good. The shari, made with a blend of red vinegar and rice from Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures, had a nice texture and flavor. Despite some inconsistency in the quality of the toppings, the overall experience was positive. The reviewer was intrigued by other menu items but was most excited to try the zangi set again.

I had the lunch menu limited to weekends and holidays, which was the fresh sushi set meal. Apparently, there is a popular seafood Wakakoma-don featured on Hirunandesu, but the variety of toppings and the price seemed a bit off, so I decided to skip it this time. The fresh sushi set meal is a common item on the lunch menu, and personally, I found the red snapper and squid legs to be particularly delicious. Thank you for the meal!笑

Today's sushi lunch was here. I have to try it out too ^ ^ Is this Wakakoma-san, the Wakakoma-san that closed down? I'm not sure, but I visited. The interior of the restaurant is geared towards tourists? The small counter seems to be a lunch spot for local ladies. I ordered the "Raw Sushi Set Meal" for 1320 yen (tax included). At this price, it seems a bit expensive. Well, it comes with coffee, so that's good. The coffee was brought to me, so I went to the restroom. When I returned to the counter, the coffee had been taken away ^^; I had to order again (laughs). The counter staff seemed to be focused on quickly satisfying the tourists. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal (o^^o)

Sushi, grilled fish, tempura rice bowl, zangi (fried chicken), and shrimp fry make for a diverse menu. The sashimi is fresh, especially the squid sashimi is really delicious. On weekends and holidays, lunch sets are available for reasonable prices, such as tempura rice bowl for ¥1000, sushi set for ¥1200, and seafood chirashi bowl for ¥1300. Plus, drinks are included with lunch, which is much appreciated.

First lunch! On a weekday at 1:00 PM, I had the Bara Chirashi for 990 yen, and my companion had the Sushi Soba Set for 1000 yen, both with a drink included. There were only two groups of customers before us and two more came in later, so it was not crowded. My Bara Chirashi had vinegar rice topped with salmon, tuna, scallops, squid, octopus, white fish, and seaweed, with pickled ginger on the side. There was also a large piece of Zangi on a small plate. The miso soup had wheat gluten and trefoil, which I liked. The portion was bigger than I expected, so I asked to take the Zangi to go, and they kindly packed it with lemon in a plastic bag. It's nice that they provide bags for free, considering that many places charge for them now. It was a satisfying lunch. And guess what... there's a discount at Soen Nanchala right now! You can get 300 yen off for purchases over 1000 yen, or 150 yen off for purchases over 500 yen. This time, we got a discount of 450 yen from our bill! I may not have explained it well, but please look it up and take advantage of the savings. It's a great deal!

I bought some crabs at Sapporo's outdoor market and decided to come here to eat sushi. I couldn't find my favorite items on the lunch sushi set menu, so I ordered a la carte. Although it's a bit pricey, I prioritize eating what I want. The sushi was okay. The grilled shishamo was fluffy and delicious.

I visited Wakakoma-san at the outside market near Nijuyonken Station with my colleagues. It used to be on the second floor nearby, but it has moved. This was my first visit since the relocation. It was quite crowded inside, but we managed to find seats. We tried the weekday lunch set, the Sashimi Bento for 1,000 yen including 10 pieces of sushi, fried chicken, miso soup, and a drink. It was a good deal! The sushi included octopus, sea bream, salmon, flounder, tuna, flying fish roe, salmon roe, shrimp, mackerel, and egg. The quality was decent, and I thought it tasted better than before. The fried chicken was hot and okay. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch for 1,000 yen. Thank you for the meal!

On the second day in Hokkaido, I had lunch at "Wakakoma" in Sapporo, who I became friends with on Facebook. The restaurant is located in Sapporo's Jougai Market. I ordered a lunch set of sushi and added a fresh sea urchin gunkan as well as a dessert of seasonal Yubari melon. I was able to enjoy all this for only two thousand yen, with change left over. This place offers great value for the price. I recommend it for lunch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

2020/12 ★ Messy 900 yen Sapporo off-market seafood restaurant San, a long-established popular restaurant for both locals and tourists, has moved and become cleaner. Lunch menu until 2pm, around 1,000 yen with a drink, a price that makes you want to eat rice at the market. Due to the exclusion of tourists, there were no early customers, but later local ladies started their daytime drinking nearby. Women are strong! You can enjoy various flavors in the messy chirashi, a dish of small pieces of seafood mixed with vinegar. Ingredients include tuna, salmon, sea urchin, scallops, yellowtail, white fish, and more. The seafood lunch comes with zangi, a large and delicious fried dish. The miso soup with gentle broth and seaweed is also included. There is a wide variety of a la carte menu items at reasonable prices, not too touristy. I might try morning drinking here next time. Thank you for the meal!

A sushi restaurant located outside of Sapporo Central Wholesale Market. I had lunch here while shopping outside. It seems like they recently relocated and there were many flowers at the entrance. The bright interior had counter and table seating, and it was bustling with tourists during lunchtime. The lunch menu had a variety of options, but since it's a sushi restaurant, the sushi sets seemed like a good deal. I ordered the "grilled Atka mackerel set (1,000 yen excluding tax)" and my wife ordered the "5-piece nigiri sushi set (1,700 yen excluding tax)". Lunch comes with a drink, making it a good deal. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. My grilled Atka mackerel was not very big but had a nice fatty flavor. My wife's nigiri sushi set had scallop, surf clam, sea urchin, and salmon roe, all fresh and delicious. The prices were reasonable overall, and they also have tempura and zangi (fried chicken) for those who want something other than seafood.

The sushi restaurant at Sanko-en Market outside was a casual place to enjoy sushi without feeling too formal. The menu was extensive, and I'm curious about trying the tempura next time. Will definitely go back.

I just started working night shifts and my body isn't used to it yet, feeling sluggish. I thought about ordering delivery for lunch and discovered a new delivery app. After downloading the app, I found a promotion for first-time users - 50% off for the first 2 orders (up to 2200 yen off). I decided to give it a try and searched for a restaurant. I came across one that I knew of but hadn't visited before, located near the central market. This seemed like a good opportunity to try it out, so I placed an order for delivery. As I looked through the menu, I noticed a delicious seafood dish - Ebi Tempura Donburi. I hadn't had tempura in a while, so I decided on the tempura bowl. The Ebi Tempura Donburi arrived with five large tempura prawns, shishito peppers, and chrysanthemum greens, creating a hearty meal. Despite the slight softening of the tempura coating due to delivery time, some parts still retained a crispy texture and the prawns were plump and delicious. The chrysanthemum greens added a nice crunch and the donburi sauce was not overly sweet, allowing for a satisfying meal without getting tired of the flavors. The rice was cooked just right, slightly firm, and complemented the dish well. The meal also came with a clear soup. It had been a while since I had such a tasty tempura donburi, but considering the original price is over 2000 yen, it does seem a bit expensive. If I have the chance, I would like to try other menu items next time. Thank you for the meal.
