It was rare for my eldest son to have dinner together on Sunday night, and we visited this restaurant. We ate a variety of dishes such as fried horse mackerel, rock seaweed oden, and chijimi. We drank and ate a lot, spending around 5000 yen per person. Thank you for the meal.

Located at Kita 24-jo, right next to Tiger Curry. The location is excellent. The sashimi served as an appetizer is delicious. Thick cuts, incredibly fresh. All of them are top quality. The menu is extensive, making it hard to decide what to order. The specialty fried horse mackerel is on the smaller side, but it's served semi-raw with soy sauce. All of the dishes are good. You won't have any trouble enjoying a solo drink here. It's also a good idea to have a few drinks and then head over to Tiger Curry or Shishi-O for a change of pace.

It's kind of modern or contemporary... Neyon-like, I guess. The dishes are incredibly delicious and the sake is top-notch. The staff is youthful and energetic, providing attentive service to the customers. The menu is confidently presented with few disappointments. Even for someone like me who tends to talk a lot, they responded cheerfully. I was recommended various dishes by regular customers and enjoyed each one. Despite arriving significantly late, the staff welcomed us warmly. The small plate of fresh sashimi served as a complimentary appetizer was satisfying. They had already taken our order in advance, and each dish was cooked and served to us one by one. The sashimi was fresh, the fried dishes were crispy, and the grilled dishes were moist and tender - everything was delicious. This place is now a popular restaurant where reservations are a must. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This time, I decided to change things up and look for a restaurant around Kita 24-jo Station. The place I had in mind was closed, so I was a bit lost until I came across this restaurant that caught my eye and decided to visit. The interior was a bit small, with an L-shaped counter and several table seats. It was early, but the place was almost full and seemed busy. It was a shame that they didn't offer all-you-can-drink, but it couldn't be helped. I ordered the pork shabu-shabu with grated daikon, cold spicy cod roe vermicelli, and fried horse mackerel among other dishes. The pork shabu-shabu and vermicelli were decent in taste, nothing special but not bad either. However, the fried horse mackerel was exceptional in taste. The mackerel, fried to a medium-rare texture, was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, so tender that you didn't need to chew much. At first, I tried it as it was, and then with soy sauce as recommended, and it was delicious either way. The mackerel had a strong flavor and was very tasty. It was understandable that it had a 95% order rate. One downside was that the menu overall had a lot of strong-flavored dishes, and there were few menu items that seemed like palate cleansers. While this might not be an issue for younger customers, it may not be as appealing to some age groups. I would like to visit again to have this fried horse mackerel. Personal note: No all-you-can-drink option.

I saw a review of Mairebi-sama and had been wanting to visit for a while. Finally made a reservation and visited. The place was bustling with about 4-5 groups of customers. Although there was no all-you-can-drink menu, they had different sizes for each drink, like large and mega, which was quite thoughtful. Started with a large highball for a toast! For the appetizer, we had 3 kinds of sashimi, which were delicious. We ordered horse mackerel fry, dashimaki tamago (forgot to take a picture), and sliced new onion. The horse mackerel fry was so good, you didn't even need soy sauce! I want to come back slowly and try other dishes too! Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, I went to a new izakaya called Izakaya Izaika on Sakurazaka, which was only a 4-minute walk from where I was staying (lol). The staff were friendly and accommodating from the time of booking. When I called to say I would be 15 minutes late for my reservation, they told me to take my time. I was looking forward to having an outdoor drink with a draft beer. The sashimi appetizer was surprisingly thick and delicious, and the half-cooked fried horse mackerel with sudachi was a unique treat. I tried eating it plain, with wasabi, and with sudachi, all of which were delicious. The vinegar motsu dish was also a unique menu item, with sliced onions hidden underneath. The shichimi spice was a special touch from Hachimanya Isojiro in Nagano. The dashi tamagoyaki with grated daikon was refreshing, and the shellfish hot pot was filled with various types of shellfish, all swimming in a flavorful broth. The meal ended with a delicious oil ramen, which had a unique twist with rice added in. The oil soba was a bit unfamiliar to me, but the thick noodles and mix of flavors were enjoyable. Overall, everything I tried at the restaurant was a hit, and it was a great dining experience.

Tried the fried horse mackerel for 490 yen, lettuce and pork shabu-shabu oden for 600 yen, vinegar motsu for 500 yen, and horse mackerel namerou for 750 yen at the neighboring shop of Tiger Curry, called Sakurazaka. Arrived shortly after opening time. Ordered a beer and was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary sashimi appetizer! It was fresh and delicious! Made me want to switch to sake instead of beer. The recommended dish, the horse mackerel fry with wasabi soy sauce, was excellent with its juicy texture. I particularly enjoyed the vinegar motsu, which is one of my favorite dishes. The menu also offers other tempting options like oden and oil soba, with daily specials as well. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming, making me want to come back again.

At the izakaya on North 24th Street, the thick-sliced sashimi of sea bream, flounder, salmon, and scallops are delicious. The simmered beef tendon is a popular dish, very tender. The boiled tongue is flavorful and the white onions are a nice touch. The marinated raw horse mackerel, pumpkin croquettes, and half-fried horse mackerel are all tasty. The daikon and hanpen were a bit salty for my liking. The salmon roe bowl has a strong sweet soy sauce flavor. The mapo yakisoba is quite spicy and filling. The service is friendly, leaving a good impression, making you want to become a regular at this izakaya.

This shop is really unique. The atmosphere is so comfortable and the space is mysteriously inviting, just like the reviews say. What surprised me the most is that they don't have grilled fish or grilled chicken at all. The signature menu here is oden, and the drinks are mainly shochu-based cocktails. The owner of the shop is quite handsome, making you wonder if he's an actor, and there are a lot of young female customers. It feels like they might be his fan club members. The owner makes sure that the men drinking alone feel comfortable by engaging in conversation with them. It's a friendly place for solo drinkers! The daikon was delicious and flavorful, and both the beef tendon and the fried chicken were tasty.

The shop is located a little off the main road, so it may take some courage to enter. However, once you pass through the curtain, you will be greeted by a tough-looking but extremely cheerful owner, making it feel like home. The food is delicious, the drinks are great! Check out the photos, and then go to the shop and try the food!

The fried horse mackerel is excellent, the cream croquettes are also delicious, the sashimi appetizer is thick and tasty, the oden is ordinary, and the rolled omelette is also delicious but average. It would be nice to have a greater variety of sake options. Overall, the food was delicious. We used it for a second party, but I would like to go for a first party next time and try more dishes.

My family moved to Sapporo two years ago. We finally had the opportunity to explore the local restaurants. We entered a lively restaurant where everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Despite the somewhat difficult-to-understand menu, we ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The young female staff members were also very friendly and efficient. My wife and I decided to visit again and try out more dishes. We look forward to exploring more of what the restaurant has to offer.
