I visited San San Kan and it was my first time there. The building is impressive. I stopped by the cafe and it was very spacious. I was planning to get soft serve ice cream but then I noticed the Wagyu beef bun. It was priced at 600 yen! I decided to get it to go. It seems to be a collaboration product developed by three companies in Tsukibetsu Town. It was ready in about 5 minutes. I tried it immediately. It was my first time eating a Wagyu beef bun. It was said to use only A5 grade beef, but I couldn't really tell the difference. It was indeed delicious with a rich meaty flavor, although the seasoning was a bit strong and salty. I had to drink some tea to balance it out. I'm glad I got to try it, even though it's expensive and not something I can afford often. Thank you for the meal.

I don't usually pass through the town of Tsubetsu on my way back from Akanko, but I remembered that there might be soft serve ice cream at the Tsukubetsu Town Multipurpose Activity Center "Sansankan". So, I decided to stop by, and indeed there was a soft serve ice cream stand with a unique sculpture outside. As I was watching, I noticed a man dropping ash outside even though there was an ashtray. Inside, there were a group of older ladies and two men. I ordered a mini soft serve for 200 yen in a paper cup, but the portion was quite small. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with a subtle sweetness. It was delicious. As of May 28, 2018, they offer 46 varieties of soft serve ice cream and gelato.

You order at the counter before finding a seat. Depending on your order, it may take some time, so you can browse brochures and local products while waiting. The dishes have a gentle flavor overall and are quite likeable. The coffee is delicious, and the soft-serve ice cream with a moderate milk flavor is also tasty. A half-size portion is just right after a meal. The facility has a kids' area and a tourist information shop. Children who might get bored can pass the time here. There are coloring sheets of the town's character, Marutakun, at the tourist information area. However, there are no colored pencils, so you can enjoy them at home later. It might be overshadowed by the popularity of Kumayaki at the roadside station, but this place is also a good restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing golf, which I was thinking of quitting this season, I decided to head towards Tsukubetsu. When I arrived, it was a quiet Sunday in the town. I decided to explore and found a sign for soft serve ice cream. The place turned out to be a multipurpose activity center run by Tsukubetsu town. Inside, it seemed to be a gathering spot for young boys and girls. Tsukubetsu is known as a forestry town, with the largest revenue-generating company in the Okhotsk General Promotion Bureau. The public facilities in the town often have buildings that emphasize wood. They even offer summer skiing here. I was surprised to find curry rice on the menu, along with fresh juice. When I inquired about the juice, the lady behind the counter said it was apple juice. I decided to try their soft serve ice cream, which was smooth and had a nice texture. Although it was delicious, I couldn't help but think it was a bit pricey at 300 yen. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Tsutsumi-cho's new public facility, the multipurpose activity center, opened on April 1, 2011. Tsutsumi-cho is a town where forestry and agriculture are actively practiced, and it is evident that town planning is also being energetically pursued. Nevertheless, it is a remote area, that's for sure... Anyway, the Sansan-kan has a cafe space with a wide variety of food menu. I ordered the Keema Curry Bun and Scones to take away and try. Keema Curry Bun ¥300 - A keema curry bun made with plenty of Tsutsumi's ingredients such as green soybeans and cream potatoes. The chunky texture of the beans and other ingredients was good, providing a satisfying bite. If I had to nitpick, a bit more curry roux would have been nice. Scones ¥250 - Scones made with Tsutsumi-grown wheat, potatoes, and organic milk. They are small in size and come in a set of two. The flavor of the potatoes kneaded into the scones is subtly delicious. It's also a nice spot for a break. The beautiful color of the wood and cozy atmosphere made it a pleasant experience. I hope to review the eat-in menu on my next visit. Thank you for the meal.

This seems to be a roadside station-like facility in Tsukubetsu-cho. There are major shops clustered around here, making it convenient to park and explore. I tried takeout from a nice cafe inside. They offer Pizza, Keema Curry Bun, and Cake. The cake comes with a mini soft serve, which I enjoyed on the spot. The soft serve was incredibly smooth and silky, with a fairly sweet taste. The homemade pizza had delicious cheese, but the dough was like regular bread. The Keema Curry Bun had a quite chewy texture, with a high density. It lacked a strong curry flavor though. The cake was incredibly delicious.
