On the day before December 12, 2021 (Sunday), I visited the restaurant for lunch and it was delicious, so I made a reservation for the next day. First, I enjoyed sashimi of flounder, salmon, and cured mackerel, along with beer, then switched to sake and tried a local sake called "Misogi no Mai." Before the sushi, I mentioned that I still wanted something to nibble on, so they served me eel. For the sushi, I had a selection of premium nigiri sushi and took a moment to relax with some tea. As a souvenir for my colleague, I had them pack grilled eel rolls and cod roe rolls tightly. If I have the chance to visit Kikonai Town again, I would like to visit this restaurant. Visited a sushi restaurant that I had been curious about for a while on December 11, 2021 (Saturday). The night before, a local recommended it to me, so I decided to visit if it was open for lunch the next day. I arrived right at noon and there was only one customer before me, no one behind me. I ordered the nigiri sushi with crab and kazunoko on top, which was delightful. I wished I could have eaten a bit more, so I added a mackerel to finish off. It had a nice tangy flavor to it. I prefer it a bit more raw, but it was still delicious. Since I wanted to enjoy it with some drinks in the evening, I made a reservation for the next night. I will leave the review for the nigiri for later. Thank you for the delicious meal! (^_^)

The general said that the tourists of Isaribi Railway come to relax on the train, have lunch at Kiyomoto Sushi, and then leave. The train that used to go to Matsumae has been discontinued, and now this place, Kikonai, is the terminal station. The premium nigiri costs 2,200 yen, and the abalone was particularly delicious.

I had excellent sushi at this restaurant! The owner was friendly and fun to talk to. The sushi was delicious!

The location of Seiben Sushi is on the road towards Kikonai Station from Route 228. If you head towards the station and turn left on the street just before Kikonai's main street, you will see a sign on the right. This restaurant was featured in the July issue of "Kanraku," a free magazine from the Hakodate Newspaper, in a special feature on weekend gourmet drives in Donan. Today, I ordered the special deluxe set for 2,000 yen, which included 9 pieces of sushi: flounder, tuna, shrimp, abalone, crab, scallop, herring roe, salmon roe, and sea urchin. The flounder had a firm and chewy texture and was delicious. The crab and herring roe were large and the abalone was thick, providing a satisfying eating experience.
