It seems like it has been about 40 years since its establishment, this long-standing coffee shop in Obihiro. The parking lot is located just west of the store, across the road to the south. Upon entering, you will see a piano on the right and manga on the left. The entrance passage cannot be passed if someone is playing the piano, which is a space filled with trophies, magazines, cassette tapes, and other nostalgic items. To the left after entering, there are six 4-seater table seats on a raised platform, tables in front of the entrance, and a counter on the right. I have visited several times, but I have never approached the counter, which has a sense of regulars, except when paying. This time, I ordered Seafood Curry Spaghetti with soup for 790 yen, avoiding the fried food that appeared too crispy. The tables are lower than the chairs, and the lights on the tables are low, so you need to be careful when sitting down or getting up to avoid hitting your head. I have hit my head before, and on this day, another customer also hit their head (laughs). Inside the store, there are faded manga, railway-related lights?, car panel photos, large fishing floats, airplane models, numerous keychains, etc., with jazz playing in the background. And just as the jazz fills the gaps, the cuckoo clocks start chiming 12 o'clock one after another from around 11:56. Since the spaghetti arrived around that time, my attention shifted from listening to the clock to my eyes and stomach. So I can only remember following five clocks that chimed. The noodles have a texture like they were boiled and then seasoned in a frying pan. The rich curry sauce contains clams, squid, shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, and green peppers. Powdered cheese is also provided in a generous amount. This generous portion is nice, but it may be a bit too much for women, and unfortunately, I couldn't finish it and left the rest to my partner's stomach. The restaurant used to be open at night, but in recent years, it has been open only for lunch. The staff regularly provide refills of water, and the atmosphere is nice, but there are also ashtrays at the tables, hard chairs, and low tables. I want to say something like MONK, but for some reason, it's a cafe that I occasionally feel like stopping by.
