After finishing up some errands here and there, I found myself in the city around 11:30 am. I was trying to avoid the typical lunchtime rush. Initially, I was walking around the area near the north exit of Sapporo Station, thinking of having some Chinese food. Surprisingly, there were quite a few izakaya-style restaurants open for lunch. It seemed like they were catering to the construction workers from the Shinkansen extension project. I noticed they were offering dishes like Chicken Nanban set, Chicken Karaage set, and Tonkatsu set for less than 700 yen, with free rice and miso soup refills. I wasn't in the mood for fried food, so I continued walking west in search of something different. I stumbled upon a restaurant that I thought only opened for dinner, but to my surprise, they were open for lunch. It used to be a Cucina restaurant in many places around Sapporo, but now it's called Miabocca. I noticed they didn't have the typical dishes like Carbonara or Meat Sauce on their menu. I didn't see my favorite Vongole Bianco either. Inside, there were lively conversations and laughter from a group of ladies, although a baby was crying loudly. The waiter brought water and asked if it was my first time there. I nodded, and he handed me the tablet menu, which I'm familiar with. They also had paper menus available. I decided to try the recommended dish of the month, which was a Hokkaido pork minced meat with cabbage and green onions in a Japanese style for 980 yen. It came with a salad and a soft drink for a total of 1,078 yen. I ordered a large portion, even though I wasn't sure about the regular portion size. I chose Oolong tea as my drink. The food arrived in about 13 minutes. I couldn't resist the salad and finished it before the spaghetti was served. The salad was fresh and had a tangy dressing. The pasta had a soy sauce-based sauce, which was light and delicious. It had minced pork and crunchy cabbage, which added a nice texture. I would have liked it even more with some pork belly. The waiter (a young man) was friendly and efficient. The Estab branch will be closing at the end of August, but I might visit again. It was a satisfying meal.

Stoke Sapporo, located on the north side of Yodobashi Camera at the Sapporo Station North Exit in Sapporo, Hokkaido, is a branch of the Italian cuisine restaurant chain, Mia Bocca. Mia Bocca now has five locations in Sapporo, more than its sister restaurant, Cucina. I recently visited for a farewell party with my colleagues.
They offer a Cantare course for 2500 yen per person, available for groups of three or more on the same day. They also have a drink all-you-can option for 1500 yen, including bottled beer, highballs, wine, cocktails, and more. The sparkling wine served is Sapporo Beer's Porastar, which is slightly sweet but delicious.
The staff were attentive and worked hard to serve our group of about 20 people. The menu included a variety of dishes:
- Assorted appetizers: prosciutto, eggplant in tomato sauce, Spanish omelette, garlic sautéed broccoli, and marinated chicken and mushrooms.
- White fried potatoes topped with plenty of grated cheese.
- Salad with Enzyme eggs from Abey Chicken Farm in Hokkaido.
- Hokkaido roast beef carpaccio style.
- Grilled young chicken with mushrooms in gravy sauce.
- Margherita pizza with a soft and chewy crust.
- Pot-cooked whitebait and bottarga with pepperoncino sauce.
Overall, the food was delicious and worth the 2500 yen price tag. The drink all-you-can option for 1500 yen was also a great deal. The restaurant is non-smoking, clean, and popular among customers.

There are many affordable lunch spots in front of Sapporo Station! Today, I decided to try the restaurant "Hokkaido Italian Miabocca Sapporo Station North Exit" which I had been curious about based on its exterior. As of June 14, 2022, the rating is 3.37. I love Italian food, so I chose the "Choose 2-person set" lunch Amore set for 2,980 yen. I ordered a salad with prosciutto and colorful vegetables, pasta, and pizza. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of the pizza (laughs). Well, there are days like this. The portion was a bit small for someone with a big appetite, but I enjoyed the delicious Italian meal! Thank you for the meal, Hokkaido Italian Miabocca Sapporo Station North Exit! I will definitely visit again!

I visited the restaurant during a late lunch or early dinner time, where some people were drinking alcohol. Despite the increasing number of new coronavirus cases on weekends, the atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively, with people talking loudly and enjoying themselves. I felt like daily life was gradually returning to normal. Today, I wanted to eat carbonara, so I came to this restaurant. I think the last time I came here was probably over 10 years ago, so the name of the restaurant might have changed. I ordered the carbonara I had been craving. It was served to me in about 5 minutes. The pasta was a bit thin, but had a firm texture and the sauce coated it well. The bacon flavor and black pepper added a nice kick to it, and I enjoyed it. At first, I thought the portion might be a bit small, but by the end of the meal, I felt satisfied with the amount. The coffee after the meal was also delicious. It was a slightly luxurious time. It was delicious after all. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

Located just across the street from Sapporo Station, about a 30-second walk, is Yodobashi Camera. They offer a monthly pasta and pizza set starting from ¥950 on weekdays, which includes a mini salad and a drink. The restaurant is popular among nearby office workers and solo diners during lunchtime. As it is affiliated with EASTONE, they actively use local Hokkaido ingredients. Today, I ordered the famous "Tomato Sauce with Hokkaido Crab" for ¥1580. You can choose between dry or fresh pasta, but I was not asked and was served dry pasta. During lunchtime, you can add a mini salad for an extra ¥200. I also added a dessert for an extra ¥280, which was a good deal with a 3-item assortment.

I visited the restaurant around 5 pm on a holiday. It was a bit of an awkward time, and I was the only customer. I ordered a 4-cheese pizza, ginger ale, and tiramisu for dessert. The pizza went well with honey. It's a shame I can't drink alcohol. Of course, the tiramisu was completely different from convenience store tiramisu and of high quality.

I visited during lunchtime on a holiday. I also visited the day before, but today I ordered the shrimp and Genovese pizza. I chose ginger ale for my drink. It's a shame that we can't drink alcohol during the state of emergency. The shrimp is plump and plentiful. The Genovese sauce is incredibly delicious. The staff here, especially the young boys and girls, are kind and polite, which I appreciate.

This is Miabocca located at Sapporo Station North Exit. I visited after 2 months. I went there on a weekday afternoon. They had a lunch menu, but I tried the limited-time Biei corn and prosciutto pizza. It was a delicious pizza with the taste of one whole corn. The staff were also very friendly.

I went to Miabocca at Sapporo Station North Exit for lunch on a holiday. It was not crowded, with only three or four groups including myself. I had a draft sparkling wine and a Carbonara pizza topped with Hokkaido cream, bacon, and a soft-boiled egg, followed by a dessert called Catalana. Everything was delicious, and the staff were friendly.

This is the Sapporo Kitaguchi branch of MiaBocca, an Italian restaurant with several locations in Sapporo. I went there for lunch on a weekday. I ordered the four cheese pizza, which came with salad and a drink. The rich cheese went well with the honey you could drizzle on top. I also tried a dessert for an additional fee, which was delicious.

I came to have pizza for lunch. I ordered Burrata Caprese, rice croquettes, Margherita pizza, Quattro Formaggi pizza, Carbonara pasta, and seasonal pasta with cream sauce with oysters, scallops, and bacon. The pizza had a chewy crust and was delicious, and the regular size starts at 890 yen per piece (Quattro Formaggi is 1190 yen). The Carbonara pasta may vary in taste depending on preference, but it was also delicious, and the seasonal oyster pasta was tasty. It's a great place for casual Italian dining.

This is Miabocca located at Sapporo Kita-guchi. They serve Italian dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients, and whenever I visit Hokkaido, I always make sure to stop by. The pizza has a firm wheat flavor in the crust and delicious toppings. The Carbonara pizza with egg and cheese was sliced right in front of us. It was truly delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was quiet and nice.

I have been to the popular Itadaki Kokko-chan series countless times, but I was invited by a colleague to have lunch and visited this place for the first time! The Holiday Lunch on Saturday comes with salad and dessert for 1000 yen. I chose the Sardinian bottarga, turban shell, and shimeji mushroom peperoncino pasta. The dessert was ice cream, but I didn't want it, so I asked for extra salad instead, and they were okay with it, which made me happy. My colleague is a regular here for lunch, and the spacious underground space with dim lighting is indeed calming. I would like to try the deli set here for dinner next time!

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is still no medicine that suits me. I will be adjusting my reviews based on my condition, so likes and comments may be delayed, thank you for your understanding. [September 2019] "Mia Bocca Sapporo Station Entrance Store" is a reasonably priced Italian restaurant. Other affiliated stores include "Mia Angela" at Daimaru Sapporo Store. I visited with my usual companion after a late lunch directly from the usual hospital. (laughs) This restaurant is located in the JR Sapporo Station area in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, near JR North Exit and close to Yodobashi Camera. Please check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. I visited on a weekday afternoon around 1:30 pm. The interior of the restaurant is stylish Italian. We were guided to the non-smoking section. The weekday lunch menu is the "Weekly Lunch Set" which includes three types of pasta and one pizza. I chose the "Pasta Set C Hokkaido scallops and broccoli in tomato cream sauce" with an iced tea as the set drink. My usual companion also ordered the same "Pasta Set C" with a ginger ale. The drinks and salad were served first. After waiting for 10 minutes, our two "Weekly Lunch Set Pasta" dishes arrived. The Weekly Lunch Set Pasta Set C Hokkaido scallops and broccoli in tomato cream sauce has a simple and tasty tomato cream sauce base. The ingredients include cut scallops and broccoli salad with watercress, carrots, purple cabbage, and lettuce. The set price is 972 yen (tax included). The "Weekly Lunch Set" is a great value lunch menu. It's convenient to have pasta and pizza sets in the city center for less than a thousand yen. The generous amount of set drink is also a plus. If it's under a thousand yen, the quality is satisfying enough. It's a casual and convenient restaurant for lunch. Compared to "Mia Angela" at Daimaru Sapporo Store, it's a very affordable lunch set. I would like to use the "Weekly Lunch Set" again next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Visited here for the first time on May 26, 2019. It's a restaurant near my wife's friend's house, so my wife and her friend often come here. We decided to have dinner here tonight since it's convenient for us to go back home. I had heard of the name of Mia Bocca Sapporo Station North Exit store before. I think it used to be in the Aeon in Asahikawa. We didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant was quite crowded. Luckily, we managed to find a seat. Since it was my first time at this restaurant, I let my wife and her friend handle the ordering. Plus, I was the designated driver today so I couldn't drink anyway. I thought about skipping the all-you-can-drink option, but I found out that even with non-alcoholic beer, if you drink three glasses, it's the same price as the all-you-can-drink option. So, I went for it. As for the food, I left it to them. First, a salad arrived. It was a generous portion that disappeared quickly when shared among the three of us. Next, a pizza came. It was bigger than I expected, with cheese, asparagus, and bacon on top. It was quite substantial and satisfying. Then, the risotto arrived. They put hot rice into a big cheese wheel, melted the cheese, and served it with a performance. I'm not a big fan of risotto, so I just had a taste. Surprisingly, it was delicious. But one bite was enough for me. Lastly, a meat dish. It was steak with a balsamic vinegar-based sauce. The meat was tender and the sauce had a strong acidity that didn't quite suit my taste. Overall, the food was of decent quality and the prices were reasonable. I wish I could have had a beer while enjoying the meal, but today I had to stick with non-alcoholic drinks. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

As you can see in the photos, I was drawn to this restaurant because they serve a cheese risotto where they shave cheese from a huge wheel right at your table. The visual alone makes you want to try it, right? They also covered the salad with so much cheese that it turned completely white, which also got me excited, but it's really the giant cheese wheel that got me in. It seems like everyone else had the same idea, as I saw people at nearby tables having their cheese shaved before me. I couldn't wait for my turn. "Here you go!" Finally, they brought the dish with the cheese inside, mixed it up, and then served it on a plate. The waitress was quite persistent in shaving the cheese till the end, which left a good impression (lol). "What do you do with the cheese left in the wheel?" (It was getting quite deep by the end...) "We'll switch to a new one~ We use it right to the very end!" It was not only delicious, but also fun to watch. A show-like experience that made the meal even more enjoyable. Thank you for the meal!

I had the Amore set, salad, pizza, pasta, and drink set menu. I forgot to take a picture of the pasta because I ate it quickly. The pizza had four types of cheese and I added honey on top, which made it delicious. It was quite crowded despite being a bit far from Sapporo Station. It's a good deal for Italian food in the area.

Pasta set with bacon and spinach cream sauce for 900 yen. Comes with salad and a drink (Earl Grey). It's delicious in a normal way. The portion size is not large, but it's not insufficient either.
