Thunder Sushi. The head chef here is doing well. How old do you think he is? Can't let him beat us (laughs). It's been a while since I last visited. Even though it's a sushi restaurant, I ended up ordering a pork cutlet. Everyone else was eating sushi around me (laughs). It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

When I hear the name Raiden, I remember the special Raiden Tameemon episode of the Denpa Shonen Raiha Shonen. Perhaps because I was involved in it. I visited this restaurant a long time ago. When I checked, it had been 8 years since my last visit. This was my third attempt to visit this place. But it seemed like it was never open. Did they stop serving lunch? Looking at the reviews, it seems that some people have recently visited... Wait... Did I always go on their days off? Lunch Menu Here, there is a large acrylic board on the table seats. Recently, I have seen many people moving it to the side when with family or friends. But at this restaurant, you must never move it. There is no board at the counter or cutting board area. The chef is energetically providing friendly service even when there is a customer right in front of them, but there is no acrylic board. Even if there are customers at the table, the service is energetic. However, you must never move the table when with family or friends, haha. So, in the past 7 years, the prices have only increased by about 120 yen. They are making efforts in their management. Regular Menu Looking at this, they also have set meals for dinner. It's interesting that they have fried food set meals at a sushi restaurant. This is quite interesting. By the way, I remember that the tamagoyaki here had red bean paste in it, but maybe I'm mistaken? I wonder how it is now. Raw Chirashi Sushi 1200 yen I once thought about this. Isn't chirashi sushi always raw? But when I see "raw chirashi" written specifically, I wonder if there are non-raw versions as well, haha. This place has always been known for its generous portions. The ingredients in the raw chirashi were quite plentiful. Here it is. If we assume that kazunoko is in front, then on the left side... kazunoko, ikura, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, and underneath there was also tuna hidden. And the rice was slightly warm. It's vinegar rice, but warm. In Hakodate, it's common to have seafood on top of hot white rice, but here it's a bit different. If we assume that kazunoko is in front, then on the right side... haha, tamagoyaki, octopus, yellowtail... and tobiko. It's quite loaded with ingredients, and it's exciting to look at. It seems like they also offer a large portion, but it seems like it would be quite a volume. Raiden Sushi (4-2-6 Yonjo Nishi, Asahikawa City) | Jin Morita Official Blog "Feeling a Little Hungry?" Powered by Ameba (ameblo.jp) Pork Cutlet Set Meal 1000 yen I deliberately chose to have pork cutlet at a sushi restaurant. It's packed in a jubako... or so it seems, but one space was filled with sauce. They did a good job with that, huh. It seems like there's no red bean paste. It's a thick tamagoyaki. It seems like it was made in the restaurant. Other than that, there were shredded cabbage, potato salad, and cut orange. It took a bit of time for the pork cutlet set meal to arrive. Well, it's nice to know that they fry it after you order, but it's a bit disappointing that the breading... peeled off completely. The breading peeled off all over. If the meat and breadcrumbs aren't firmly attached before frying, this is what happens. I dipped it in sauce. So, I dipped it in sauce. The meat is thick and it's good. But when picking it up with chopsticks, the breading inevitably falls off, which was a bit disappointing. By the way, I also tried it with soy sauce, but the cutlet here seems to go better with sauce. Well, I tried having cutlet at a sushi restaurant, but perhaps it's better to order fish at a sushi restaurant. It was a good meal. ⇒ At Raiden Sushi, the cutlet is delicious ◆

This is a sushi restaurant located in 4-4-4 Nishi 4-jo, Asahikawa City. A friend asked me to recommend a delicious lunch spot, so I suggested this place near their workplace, and they seemed to really like it. I decided to visit as well, as I was in the mood for lunch. The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting, and the chef seemed lively. I ordered the "Lunch Nigiri Sushi" (1,200 yen) and the "Jumbo Inari" (270 yen) that caught my eye last time. The Jumbo Inari is a popular menu item here, often enjoyed with lunch. The Lunch Nigiri Sushi includes 8 pieces of red meat, salmon, tuna, sea bream, ark shell, sweet shrimp, shiitake mushroom, and salmon roe, along with egg and rolled kampyo. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, with the fatty salmon and sea bream standing out. The crispy shiitake mushroom is also quite good. The real highlight of this place is the "egg" sushi. It contains anko and wakame, and the combination is surprisingly tasty. The Jumbo Inari consists of vinegar rice filled with sakura denbu, pickles, and kampyo. The fried tofu is incredibly delicious, soaked in flavor. Sometimes after having nigiri for lunch, you might feel like having more, and this dish is perfect for that! Lunch options include Nigiri and Chirashi for 1,200 yen, and Ebi Fry, Rosu Katsu, and Hire Katsu set meals for 1,000 yen each. The staff are all friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great place to dine!

I visited Rai Den Sushi for the first time, a sushi restaurant I had been seeing the sign of since I was a child. There were no customers when I arrived around 11 am, but the enthusiastic voices of the staff welcoming me could be heard from inside. I ordered the nigiri sushi set for 1200 yen, which now includes miso soup and pickles due to a price increase starting in April. The sushi arrived promptly, and the quality was exceptional. The squid tasted like the one I had in Hakodate, and I was surprised by the freshness. As someone from Asahikawa, I often hear people saying that sushi in Asahikawa is not good because it is so far inland. But Rai Den Sushi proved them wrong with its delicious offerings. The tuna was fatty, the sweet shrimp and ark shell were full of flavor, and the salmon roe was delightful. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and returned home happy. I looked up the history of Rai Den Sushi online and found out that it was established in 1970 by a chef from Iwanai. That explains a lot!

I visited "Raiden Sushi" in Asahikawa City for lunch. I ordered the "Assorted Sushi 1,190 yen" and my companion ordered the "Nigiri Sushi 1,190 yen" from the lunch menu. The Assorted Sushi included 2 pieces of tuna, salmon, scallop, sweet shrimp, ark shell, salmon roe, flying fish roe, mackerel, white fish, octopus, squid, shirako, and egg, along with miso soup and pickles, making it a very satisfying dish. I was especially happy to see my favorite ark shell included, and the tuna was very delicious. The Nigiri Sushi came with 8 pieces of sushi, tamagoyaki, rolled sushi, miso soup, and pickles, making it a very good value lunch.

I had a lunch menu of nigiri sushi - tuna, yellowtail, scallop, salmon, sweet shrimp, shad roe, salmon roe, ark shell, and kampyo roll, along with an egg. All of them were fresh and delicious. When I saw the egg, I was surprised to find something inside. I looked closer and it seemed to be red bean paste and seaweed. I thought it was a joke, but when I tried it, it was surprisingly tasty. The red bean paste was not too sweet and combined well with the seaweed. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Raidenteki Sushi! It was crowded. The head chef was wearing a mask at the counter today! Still active! My parents love sushi, so we visited here today. I had already eaten some pieces of sushi and chirashi before realizing and taking a photo. The tamagoyaki had sweet bean paste inside. The sushi was fresh, plentiful, and delicious, which made my parents happy. I chose the hirekatsu, and the meat was tender and the sauce was tasty. It even came with fruit. The pickled herring must be homemade, it was so different from store-bought ones (of course). Oh, I'm going to gain weight. Satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch. The interior of the restaurant was clean and the friendly chef welcomed me. I ordered the "Nigiri Sushi" lunch set (1,190 yen including tax) before 2 pm. It was my first time here, and I had a nice chat with the chef. He used good quality ingredients for the lunch sushi! It included salmon roe, shiitake mushrooms, tuna, ark shell, sea bream, sweet shrimp, salmon, scallop, and tamago. The roll was a Tekka Maki. The fresh ingredients were satisfying! I had the tamago last, and to my surprise, it had sweet red bean paste inside. When I asked the chef about it, he said it's a popular addition among customers. It was surprisingly good! The miso soup was delicious too, and overall, it was a satisfying lunch sushi experience. The only downside was the pickles... it seemed like it was supposed to be pickled herring, but there was no herring in it (maybe they ran out?). The counter also had "Jumbo Inari Sushi (270 yen)", which the chef mentioned is also popular among customers who order lunch. It looked tasty, but I didn't want to get sleepy in the afternoon (haha). It was a bit early when I arrived, but as lunchtime approached, the restaurant started to get busier with more customers. It was a delicious sushi lunch experience!

I came to have lunch. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a lively sushi chef saying "Welcome!" I was led to sit at the counter since the tatami seating was full. The sushi chef, who was quite elderly, energetically made sushi for us. I had a fresh chirashi bowl for 1,080 yen, which included salmon, squid, tuna, mackerel, yellowtail, shrimp x2, octopus, ark shell, flying fish roe, salmon roe, shrimp roe, and tamagoyaki x3. The sushi rice was warm and seasoned perfectly. I definitely want to come back for more sushi next time.

I have visited this sushi restaurant a few times in 2019, but this is my first time posting a review. It's a casual sushi restaurant where you can easily have lunch. This time, I revisited at the request of my companion. I had the Nigiri Sushi Lunch for 1080 yen. The pieces are all quite small, which made me laugh when I saw the ark shell. The sushi bucket looked empty and sad. The quality is like children's sushi. It's less than half of what you would get at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Asahikawa. The amount of fish is also about one-third less. I had the Pork Cutlet Set for 870 yen. Why does a sushi restaurant have cutlets? Well, you'll understand once you taste it. It's basically a bento box. The pork cutlet is crispy, but the sauce container didn't match the dish and was noisy. The salad included in the set didn't go well with the vegetables and felt unbalanced. I feel like I could make this pork cutlet myself. When I made eye contact with a waiter who had just returned from a delivery, they seemed unfriendly. Overall, I won't be revisiting this restaurant.

Located a 25-minute walk from Asahikawa Station, just before Yoshida Hospital, is the recommended "Raiden Sushi". Their specialty is the "Namerou Chirashi Sushi" - just look at these fresh ingredients! The abundance of fresh ingredients, unique to Hokkaido, is impressive. Among them, the shrimp is outstanding! The plump, large shrimp has a subtly sweet and delicious taste. There is no fishy smell, and the taste of the sea spreads in your mouth. You'll be surprised by the great cost performance that is unique to the local area! Be sure to give it a try. [Reference price] Namerou Chirashi Sushi 1,080 yen.

Visited for the first time in April 2018 based on a great tip from Asahikawa reviewer "coage". The owner's unique call caught my attention. The place was half full even before lunchtime. Ladies were having a meal in the back room, and the raised tatami seating area was also half full. Customers kept coming in one after another. It's a popular spot. The owner greeted us with a unique "irassyayasshi~". I ordered the lunch menu without hesitation and went for the "Nama Chirashi". The person next to me was asked if they wanted a larger portion, but they didn't ask me. The "Nama Chirashi" cost 1,080 yen and included thick sweet shrimp, salmon roe, flying fish roe, ark shell, octopus, squid, salmon, amberjack, sea bream, two slices of tuna, marinated mackerel, tamagoyaki, and pickled ginger. The shrimp and tuna were particularly good. The marinated mackerel was a bit too strong. The balance of vinegar rice was good, and for this price, it was a satisfying lunch. I'm glad I didn't order the larger portion. The miso soup was made with fish broth and was full of flavor. The famous pickled herring was not available, which was disappointing. However, the pickled herring that was served was delicious with just the right amount of acidity. With this quality and price, I believe it's a better deal than some conveyor belt sushi places. A great value lunch at a casual sushi restaurant. I hope to keep hearing the owner's "yasshi~" for a long time.

My best friend in Sapporo has a vacation home in the Furano area. When I visit, I get to have fun too because she brings high-quality wines that I usually don't drink. This time, before heading back, we decided to have lunch together. When I asked what she wanted to eat, she said she wanted sushi. I suggested a few of our favorite lunch spots, but they were already past lunchtime. Then she mentioned the name of a rotating sushi restaurant - Raitei Sushi. I remembered going there a few years ago, so I agreed. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the familiar smell of a sushi restaurant. The energetic head chef welcomed us warmly. I ordered the nigiri sushi with small rice portions, while my friend ordered the affordable lunch special - a chirashi sushi set. The staff was friendly, and the head chef's energy was contagious. My friend enjoyed her chirashi sushi, and we left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Next time, I'll have to remember to ask for even smaller rice portions!

It's been cold these days, with a nationwide cold wave. It can be hard to go outside, but let's go out to eat delicious food! This is a sushi restaurant that I regularly visit. The owner, his wife, and their two sons are all sushi chefs. The place is always crowded. They recently expanded the parking lot, but it's still packed during lunchtime. As I entered the restaurant, one of the sons greeted me warmly. It turns out the owner was preparing for a lunch banquet on the second floor. The first floor was full, with only counter seats available. The atmosphere was lively and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed different types of sushi and their famous sweet omelette with red bean paste. The miso soup and pickled herring were also tasty. It was a satisfying meal.

The name Raiden Sushi sounds cool, right? I've been wanting to go there for a while and I finally did. Since moving to Asahikawa, I've been looking for a place with delicious sushi and fish, and this place is great! First of all, the chef's voice is cool. This non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere where I didn't feel nervous. There's also a restaurant with the same name in Harukou, I wonder if they're related. The tamagoyaki had red bean paste and seaweed or cucumber in the middle, which made me feel strangely good. (It was delicious.) I wonder why. There are still so many things in the world that I don't know about, haha.
