When I hear the name Raiden, I remember the special Raiden Tameemon episode of the Denpa Shonen Raiha Shonen. Perhaps because I was involved in it. I visited this restaurant a long time ago. When I checked, it had been 8 years since my last visit. This was my third attempt to visit this place. But it seemed like it was never open. Did they stop serving lunch? Looking at the reviews, it seems that some people have recently visited... Wait... Did I always go on their days off? Lunch Menu Here, there is a large acrylic board on the table seats. Recently, I have seen many people moving it to the side when with family or friends. But at this restaurant, you must never move it. There is no board at the counter or cutting board area. The chef is energetically providing friendly service even when there is a customer right in front of them, but there is no acrylic board. Even if there are customers at the table, the service is energetic. However, you must never move the table when with family or friends, haha. So, in the past 7 years, the prices have only increased by about 120 yen. They are making efforts in their management. Regular Menu Looking at this, they also have set meals for dinner. It's interesting that they have fried food set meals at a sushi restaurant. This is quite interesting. By the way, I remember that the tamagoyaki here had red bean paste in it, but maybe I'm mistaken? I wonder how it is now. Raw Chirashi Sushi 1200 yen I once thought about this. Isn't chirashi sushi always raw? But when I see "raw chirashi" written specifically, I wonder if there are non-raw versions as well, haha. This place has always been known for its generous portions. The ingredients in the raw chirashi were quite plentiful. Here it is. If we assume that kazunoko is in front, then on the left side... kazunoko, ikura, sweet shrimp, yellowtail, and underneath there was also tuna hidden. And the rice was slightly warm. It's vinegar rice, but warm. In Hakodate, it's common to have seafood on top of hot white rice, but here it's a bit different. If we assume that kazunoko is in front, then on the right side... haha, tamagoyaki, octopus, yellowtail... and tobiko. It's quite loaded with ingredients, and it's exciting to look at. It seems like they also offer a large portion, but it seems like it would be quite a volume. Raiden Sushi (4-2-6 Yonjo Nishi, Asahikawa City) | Jin Morita Official Blog "Feeling a Little Hungry?" Powered by Ameba (ameblo.jp) Pork Cutlet Set Meal 1000 yen I deliberately chose to have pork cutlet at a sushi restaurant. It's packed in a jubako... or so it seems, but one space was filled with sauce. They did a good job with that, huh. It seems like there's no red bean paste. It's a thick tamagoyaki. It seems like it was made in the restaurant. Other than that, there were shredded cabbage, potato salad, and cut orange. It took a bit of time for the pork cutlet set meal to arrive. Well, it's nice to know that they fry it after you order, but it's a bit disappointing that the breading... peeled off completely. The breading peeled off all over. If the meat and breadcrumbs aren't firmly attached before frying, this is what happens. I dipped it in sauce. So, I dipped it in sauce. The meat is thick and it's good. But when picking it up with chopsticks, the breading inevitably falls off, which was a bit disappointing. By the way, I also tried it with soy sauce, but the cutlet here seems to go better with sauce. Well, I tried having cutlet at a sushi restaurant, but perhaps it's better to order fish at a sushi restaurant. It was a good meal. ⇒ At Raiden Sushi, the cutlet is delicious ◆
