A small pension located in the Fumoto area of Furano City. The pension was designed with the image of the house in "Anne of Green Gables." During our stay, the owner was unwell, so unfortunately, we only had breakfast at the pension and had to have dinner outside. After having dinner in Furano City and checking into the pension, we were greeted with excitement by the owner, who said, "Hey there, big brother!" We all had a lively time together with the owner and the grandmother in the dining room. It felt like going back in time and we had a very nostalgic moment.

Our stay in Furano, Hokkaido was at Starman's Inn. This was our second time staying here. The pension, nestled in the midst of nature, provides a relaxing environment. We were drawn back by the location of the pension, the owner's hospitality, and the meals made using plenty of homegrown vegetables. We had requested dinner here during our previous visit, and all the dishes in the course meal were fantastic. So, we were looking forward to it this year as well, but unfortunately, they have stopped serving dinner. However, breakfast is still available for only 700 yen. Moreover, from July to August, they offer a buffet style breakfast. On the first morning, we were served a plate with 11 side dishes, while on the second morning, it was a buffet. Luckily, we were the only guests that day, which was very much appreciated. The buffet included delicious rice with vegetables. The overall seasoning was quite mild, highlighting the fresh flavors of the vegetables. The homemade bread was fluffy with a light texture, especially tasty when paired with honey or homemade jam. I couldn't resist having seconds. With a view of the greenery outside the large windows and the relaxed goats grazing around the pension, dining here is a delightful experience. The nutritious and delicious breakfast was much appreciated once again. Thank you!

Pension Wada, located in the Fumoto area of Furano City, Hokkaido. This area is famous as a filming location for the drama "From the Northern Country"! I visited Pension Wada after 10 years. Although the grandfather had passed away, the grandmother was still lively and busy in the garden. We reminisced about the compost I made 10 years ago, which is still being used today. They grow vegetables without pesticides and cook dishes that bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients. They try to use as little seasoning as possible. The food is good for the body. The entire inn is non-smoking, and there is no cell phone reception, making it a quiet and luxurious place. At night, you can go outside and see a sky full of stars, even the Milky Way clearly. With the price for one night and two meals, it's a great deal!
