I went to a restaurant located in the mountains near Hakodate Park. It may be a bit difficult to find the place. I made a reservation before the opening hours. Although the window seats were not available, it was okay. It is advisable to make a reservation as it is quite popular. On this day, the first floor was fully booked.
The lunch course included:
- Tea and juice
- Boiled cabbage, rolled omelette, shrimp, clam, sesame tofu, skewers, and cherry blossom-themed Lilyne decorations
- Soup with pink daikon
- Salad with scallops and bamboo shoots
- Steamed buns with shrimp, and baked buns with shrimp and broccoli in mustard sauce
- Miso soup, rice (with butterbur sprouts), and pickles
- Coffee pudding for dessert
I had a relaxing time. They have child seats and high chairs, so it's suitable for families with young children. Thank you for the meal.
I visited the restaurant again in August 2014. I always come here when I want to eat delicious food and avoid disappointment. The menu changes monthly, so you can enjoy different dishes each time you visit. However, due to its location, I only come here when I am in the Hakodate area. I made a lunch reservation the day before, and fortunately, there was availability.
The August lunch course included:
- Tea
- Tomato with grated daikon, pomegranate juice (non-alcoholic)
- Steamed buns with eel
- Squid sashimi with somen noodles in somen soup jelly
- Steamed buns with eel (a classic dish)
- Sorbet for palate cleansing
- Smashed shrimp, scallops, corn rice, miso soup, and pickles
- Almond jelly with pear
The food was delicious, and I left feeling full. The restaurant does not have air conditioning, but it was cool, possibly due to its location on the mountain. They had fans available. It is said that you can get a great view of the fireworks display from the restaurant during the fireworks festival. It was a great experience. Thank you for the meal.
In January 2015, the entrance was decorated for the New Year. The dishes were also tailored for the New Year season. The New Year Kaiseki "Shofuku" course included various dishes such as appetizers, soup, simmered dish, main dish, rice, and dessert.
The appetizer was beautifully presented, and the soup with sesame tofu and citrus was delicious. The simmered dish, which included sweet potato buns with shrimp and ginkgo nuts, was a classic favorite. The main dish was sautéed sea bream with white wine sauce, which was slightly sweet. The meal was followed by rice, pickles, and a dessert of rice pudding with strawberry sauce.
I also tried the children's lunch set for the first time, which included a hamburger and two shrimp tempura, along with sides like potato, miso soup, sweet potato buns, rice, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. The price was around 1,500 yen. I made a last-minute reservation and was lucky to get a window seat. The weather was clear, and the view was fantastic.
