This udon has a very satisfying and chewy texture. I love this kind of udon. I ordered the fresh lemon and grated daikon radish dipping udon, I think it was ¥500. I also got eggplant tempura on the side with a sweet sauce. The cold, chewy udon was really delicious. It came with half a lemon to squeeze over it. I poured it generously over the cold grated daikon radish and green onions. The tempura was a bit oily but tasty even when cold. It wasn't soggy. Thank you for the meal!

Hassamu area in Nishi-ku, Sapporo City. A shop on the 3rd floor of Hassamu Aeon. Opens from 9 am, perfect for morning activities. Operated by Nihon Lax, a subsidiary of Skylark Holdings. They use wheat from Sapporo's "Yokoyama Seifun," so expectations are high. I ordered the Burdock Tempura Meat Udon (690 yen, discounted to 640 yen with LINE registration). However, the soup was lukewarm. When I mentioned this, a female staff member rushed over, apologizing for setting the temperature wrong and promptly replaced it with a new, hot bowl. The noodles were thick and hard, lacking delicacy. The broth, with a sweet sauce base similar to gyudon or sukiyaki, was decent. Unfortunately, the burdock tempura lacked crispiness and flavor. Overall, the staff's excellent recovery skills and sincere attitude left a positive impression, making it a pleasant dining experience.

I had some errands at the mall and decided to have dinner at the food court. I usually spend a lot of time deciding on a place to eat here because I feel like I've tried everything, but today I focused on choosing a place quickly and just eating and leaving. I went with Fukurou Seimen and ordered a simple large size kake udon with toppings of chrysanthemum tempura and squid tempura. Since they don't do the Negi-daku style like at Marugame, I gave up on my green onion preference today. The udon was still being boiled when I ordered, so I had to wait about 5 minutes for it to be ready. It was worth the wait because the udon had a nice chewy texture and was delicious. Freshly boiled udon or soba is always tasty. It's convenient to have food ready quickly, but I wouldn't mind waiting if it means getting to enjoy delicious udon. I found the texture better suited to my taste compared to Marugame and enjoyed it until the last bite.

Had lunch at Hassamu Ion. Was torn, but decided on the udon with chili oil. Also got some spring chrysanthemum tempura and lotus root tempura from Fukurou Seimen. It was refreshing and delicious. I wish it was a bit spicier though. The tempura was crispy and tasty. I don't usually eat spring chrysanthemum at home, so I was happy to have it. I thought the udon portion was small, but I ended up feeling full!

I stopped by Fukurou Seimen to have some chewy udon noodles after getting groceries at Happo Ion. They serve udon noodles with a good texture, although they don't offer extra green onions like Marugame Seimen. Today, I ordered a large portion of plain udon with squid tempura and mushroom tempura on top. I also asked for extra green onions, but there was hardly any visible increase in green onions. However, the squid tempura and mushroom tempura were thick and satisfying, with a light batter. Delicious!

While out shopping, I stopped by Fukurou Seimen for the first time in a while. Today is extremely cold outside, so I ordered a large serving of kake udon with squid tempura and fish cake tempura. Unlike Marugame Seimen, they don't have the option to add as much green onions as you want, which is a bit disappointing. However, I really like the chewy texture of their udon noodles. Even though their udon broth is not served in a special container, it stays piping hot until the last bite, making it perfect for a cold day! Today, I enjoyed a piping hot bowl of delicious udon with grated ginger and a touch of shichimi spice!

Eating at the food court in the mall. Family always eats out at the food court on weekends. The greatness of the food court is clear now that I have kids. Wasn't expecting much, but the noodles had a nice texture. The tempura with chikuwa and shiitake mushrooms was amazing. It was delicious.

For some reason, this restaurant has been on my radar for a while, and I finally had the chance to visit after a few years. It's a udon restaurant on the second floor of a food court, following the "Marugame style" of serving. I ordered the "bukkake oroshi udon" for 380 yen, which was quickly served. Toppings included tempura, sesame seeds, and grated ginger. I squeezed some lemon over it and enjoyed the meal at the counter seat for solo diners in the food court. The udon texture was similar to Marugame or Hanamaru, but I don't eat bukkake udon often, so I couldn't judge the broth well. It might have been a bit weak, but it was hard to tell because it was cold. I wish there was a bit more grated ginger. This was my second stop during a weekend stroll, and it was a decent choice considering the busy day ahead. I wonder how the warm broth version tastes. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch on Saturday. This udon restaurant is located in the food court of AEON, run by Niraku Co., Ltd. The system is similar to other stores. I ordered the following:
- Bukkake Udon for 330 yen
- Large serving for an additional 150 yen
They asked if I wanted green onions added. You can also add condiments like shichimi and sesame as you like. The noodles are square-shaped and have a nice texture. The broth is rich in flavor. The bowl is large, but the large serving felt a bit lacking in quantity. Thank you for the meal.

Located in the food court on the 3rd floor of the Ion Mall in Hassamu area. I came to Ion for shopping and decided to have dinner here. When it comes to udon shops in shopping centers, I usually think of Marugame Seimen, but this one seems to be a Sky Lark affiliated udon shop. Besides individual menu items, they also offer set menus with rice bowls. This time, I ordered the "Small Bowl of Cherry Shrimp and Shirasu with Zaru Udon (640 yen)". Since there were no other customers, it was ready quickly. The udon seemed to be from Sanuki, with a moderate firmness that was easy to eat. The regular size might feel a bit lacking, but when paired with a rice bowl, it seemed like just the right amount. The udon was decently tasty, but personally, I found the rice bowl with shirasu more delicious. The additional charge for "Zaru" or "Kake" is reasonable at 330 yen, so I think it's a good option when you want to eat udon in Ion Mall.

I went to a restaurant for the first time in a while and decided to have some udon, but ended up ordering curry instead. I added a small udon set for an extra 100 yen, and also ordered a kids' udon. The kids' udon was actually just a small udon. The curry was average. I wish I had tried more toppings for the udon.

Bukkake (soupless udon with toppings) with extra noodles 330, Chicken Zangi (deep-fried chicken) 180, and Maitake mushroom tempura with whole grain flour. It's decent with a good texture, but lacks chewiness. The broth is sweet and lacks the traditional Sanuki flavor, which I don't prefer. I'm from Hokkaido but I don't like the sweet food culture there. Zangi is not my thing, it's like nuggets.

Today, I visited Fukurou Seimen for the first time in a while. It had been over a year since my last visit, so I didn't remember the taste at all. Going back to basics, I ordered the regular size Kama Tamabukkake (warm) with Maiko Tempura, Nasu Tempura, and extra green onions. Just like Hanamaru, the green onions are carefully managed here, so for those who default to a mountain of green onions, it can be stressful. Even though I ordered extra toppings, there wasn't much of an impact... It would be nice if they could be more generous with the toppings for the price they charge... Despite this slight stress, the udon noodles had a good chewy texture and bounce, and the thick, roughly cut noodles (which I consider a hit) were mixed in and delicious! I actually prefer the udon noodles here over Marugame. The Maiko Tempura had the perfect crispy and crunchy texture that I look for, and it was dangerously tasty. Today, I realized once again that for the Sanuki udon chain restaurants, Fukurou Seimen > Marugame Seimen > Hanamaru Udon!

I usually have udon at Marugame, but I decided to try Fukurou this time. I went with kitsune udon, which is my favorite. The price was reasonable, and I hope they open a branch in the shopping mall or station that I frequently visit. The food court at Hakkou Ion gets crowded during meal times on weekends.

The udon restaurant in Hassamu Ion Food Court is part of the Skylark Group. I always eat there, but this is my first review. I ordered the zaru udon with kakiage and ikura. It should be 600 yen with change. The udon has a nice texture, it's quick, cheap, and delicious!

I arrived at the Hanabaru Ion food court. After having breakfast and going for a walk, I felt a little hungry and wanted a snack. The newly opened food court is not crowded, which is nice! I walked around and decided on Fukurou Seimen! I've tried udon at rival stores before, but this is my first time at this store! Since it's my second meal of the morning, I'll go for something light and healthy. I chose the Neba Tamago Udon for 440 yen. It comes with natto, wakame, green onions, and a soft-boiled egg! I added crispy tempura flakes and some shichimi spice. I mix the natto in the corner to make the egg nice and gooey before eating. The udon has a good chewy texture and surprisingly delicious. It's just as tasty as udon from other rival stores. It's also quite filling, but it would have been perfect if it came with tempura. I'll have to come back when I'm hungry next time. Thank you for the meal!

Sakura shrimp and whitebait mini rice bowl with udon set (extra noodles) for 770 yen. It's a quick and satisfying meal when you're in a hurry. The noodles and soup don't have any standout features, but it's enough to satisfy you for lunch. The mini rice bowl tastes great with a bit of special sauce, sesame seeds, and wasabi on top.

I occasionally eat here, but this is my first time reviewing it. I usually don't eat udon at the food court. At this AEON, I usually go for the soba restaurant's steak bowl or ramen. This time, I decided to have something light for dinner. I chose the bukkake with grated daikon, the cold version. Topped with shrimp tempura. I actually prefer chicken tempura, but they didn't have it here. The udon here is quite chewy, which I like. The flavor is also to my liking, light but still tasty. The tempura was also delicious. I sprinkled shichimi instead of wasabi and enjoyed it. I still prefer cold udon. Thank you for the meal!

I found a reasonably priced udon restaurant called Honkaku Udon in the food court inside Hakkou Ion. I was looking for a place open on New Year's Day and ended up at the Ion food court. It was very crowded from the first day of the year, but it was great that everyone could go eat whatever they liked. We went to McDonald's, the udon restaurant, the pasta place, and everyone enjoyed eating different things. I had tempura at Fukurou Seimen. Unfortunately, I only have a photo left, so I'm not sure what kind of tempura it was. It looks round, like a takoyaki tempura maybe? It also came with some sauce. Thank you for the meal!
