I heard that the manager of the local supermarket branch was recruiting members at a certain event, so I went there. Unfortunately, Mr. Ono, who I wanted to help me, was not there. I decided to grab a bite to eat first so I could gather my strength. I chose this place because the entrance had sliding doors, giving off a traditional Japanese restaurant vibe. The interior also resembled a Japanese restaurant, with a Nepalese flag hanging. It turned out to be a Nepalese curry restaurant. The menu was large and easy to read, offering single curry dishes as well as set menus. The Nepalese curry had three types of paste - onion, tomato, and spinach, and my favorite, Sag Mutton, was available. The set menus, except for the most expensive Mazeli Special at 1,290 yen, were priced at 1,290 yen, with the single Sag Mutton priced at 1,190 yen, only a 100 yen difference. However, the set menu that allowed you to choose Sag Mutton did not have plain naan, which I prefer when eating curry. This time, I chose garlic naan. The garlic naan that arrived was very large, and when I took a bite, I felt like having a beer. The crispy naan had a subtle garlic flavor, making it a perfect accompaniment to the curry. The curry was spicy but not overpowering, with the richness of spices and aroma spreading in my mouth. And indeed, mutton goes well with Nepalese curry. Since you could order more naan, I ordered plain naan. The plain naan was soft and slightly sweet, complementing the curry well. After filling my stomach, I returned to the event venue to confront the supermarket branch manager, but he was nowhere to be found. Next time, I'll be prepared (hehehe).
