Sapporo, Hokkaido, Chuo-ku, Kita 3 Nishi 3-1, Daido Seimei Sapporo Building B1F "Kushiro Hanamaru," a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Hokkaido, located in the basement of the Daido Seimei Sapporo Building, a 5-6 minute walk from JR Sapporo Station. Known for its quality seafood, this was the must-visit restaurant of the trip. When I tried to visit the Hanamaru restaurant near Sapporo Station at 11 am, there were 50 groups waiting in line. What? Well, I expected it to be popular, but this was unexpected. I decided to try again at 3 pm. Surely, there won't be as many people as during lunchtime. But there were now 59 groups waiting in line. What? It's even more crowded. (By the way, this was on a weekday). However, I really wanted to try it, so I headed to the Daido Seimei Building. There was still a line, but only 10 groups ahead of me, so I decided to wait. After about 20 minutes, I got inside. I filled out the order sheet with eel, tuna, salmon, mountain wasabi squid sushi, and amberjack, and handed it to the staff. I thought of it as a snack, but it was so delicious! Each piece of sushi was large and had a rich flavor. Yum! At that moment, I decided that this would be my dinner spot. I then added orders for draft beer, medium fatty tuna, red snapper, bluefin tuna, spicy mountain wasabi roll, and salmon miso soup. The medium fatty tuna melted in my mouth! And the spicy mountain wasabi roll was huge. I envy the people of Hokkaido for being able to enjoy such delicious conveyor belt sushi all the time. It's truly amazing. Although Fukuoka also has plenty of delicious seafood, the conveyor belt sushi I had here was completely different!

I visited on a business trip to Hokkaido. I waited for about 30 minutes, but I was satisfied and didn't feel it was a burden. There are several stores in Sapporo as well, but it has a hidden gem feel. They offer unique dishes that I have never seen or heard of before. It was a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy local ingredients.

I had heard that this restaurant was very popular, and even though I avoided lunchtime, I still had to wait quite a bit. However, they issue a numbered ticket and you can see the status on your smartphone, so you can go shopping or do other things while waiting. The Hokkaido specialties like hokke fish were delicious, and the squid and citrus marinated mackerel were also very tasty. The service was also very quick.

I arrived at the restaurant much earlier than opening time on Saturday, so I went to a nearby Starbucks Reserve to have tea. However, when I arrived at the restaurant at 10:30, there was a ticket machine and I was the 32nd in line... I didn't know that I could get a ticket from the machine early. I should have just come back at 11. The sushi was delicious, but I don't think it was that cheap.

This is a must-visit place where I would wait in line for an hour. I came to this shop in Sapporo for the first time, and it is just as delicious as in Tokyo. Especially the grilled flounder is exquisite. I am torn between ordering herring, scallops, and other dishes.

When I went to Sapporo, I thought I must visit this restaurant at least once. I saw on YouTube that there was a one-hour wait at the JR Tower branch, but at this store, I could get in without waiting. However, even though it was around 2 pm, I still had to wait for 30 minutes, probably because there were many tourists. The sushi was all delicious, and the hokki clam strings, which were not listed on the menu, were also tasty.

Hokkaido Gourmet Part 3! After finishing a marathon and feeling exhausted, I decided to treat myself to some sushi at a revolving sushi restaurant. There were a few options, but I chose Nemuro Hanamaru as I had been to Triton in Tokyo before. I arrived around 5 pm and had to wait for about 50 groups ahead of me, finally getting seated around 7:30 pm. I sat at the counter and chose from the basic menu as well as daily recommendations, including: fatty tuna, seared salmon, herring roe, fresh salmon, flounder, tuna, striped shrimp, scallop, squid, tuna salad, and fried chicken. All the dishes were delicious, but the standout for me was the tuna and herring roe. The tuna had a rich flavor that exceeded its price, and the herring roe was a real treat as I had never had it properly before. The Toro Nishin and flounder, both recommended dishes, were also must-tries. The Toro Nishin had a light texture but a rich flavor that intensified with every bite. The flounder had a hint of miso and a subtle nutty aroma. The salmon was as tasty as ever, and the scallop, with its two large pieces, had a delightful chewy texture. I was curious about the icefish, which unfortunately was already sold out. Overall, the portion sizes were normal, but the freshness and quality of the ingredients were top-notch, truly showcasing the authentic flavors of Hokkaido. I couldn't help but envy the locals who can easily enjoy such delicious sushi at a revolving sushi restaurant.笑

On the first day of my trip to Hokkaido, I visited this restaurant for dinner. I arrived at Sapporo Station in the evening and decided to wait in line for a table on my way to the hotel. It was around 5:30 pm and there were about 80 groups ahead of us, so I thought we would have to wait for about 2 hours. However, we were actually able to get a table around 8:30 pm. As we got closer to our turn, we received a notification on LINE, so we were able to make good use of our time. We ate as much as we wanted, with about 20 plates for two people. Even though we didn't drink alcohol, the cost was surprisingly under 8,000 yen. As you can see in the photo, the slices of fish were large and thick, and of course, very fresh. Personally, I highly recommend the flounder and hand-wrapped sea urchin. In terms of sushi restaurants, excluding specialty or high-end ones, this was the most satisfying experience I've had.

I wanted to eat sushi, so I decided to stop by quickly. I ended up eating a lot. The tuna was very fresh and eye-catching, the white fish like flounder and hokke were delicious, as well as the toro nishin, live tsubu, uni tsukumi, squid with wasabi, live octopus, tobiko, all of them were tasty. For dessert, I had moon-viewing natto. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. The restaurant opens at 11:00, but they start issuing numbered tickets at 10:00. Get a ticket first and take care of errands during the waiting time. Be prepared for a line. Even if you have to wait in line, the sushi here is the best I've had at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. As you can see in the photos, the toppings are large and fresh. I recommend ordering mainly from today's specials. Everything was delicious. I ended up visiting twice during my stay. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

The day before the Hokkaido Marathon, I loaded up on carbohydrates! But I ate too much, haha! I lined up around 11:30 and waited for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. However, I was able to make use of the time for marathon entry and other things for about an hour. The dishes were mainly from the Nemuro area, such as herring, millet, and Hanasaki crab. I was satisfied with everything except for the scallops, which were only two layers compared to the main store's, haha.

I went to the popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Nemuro Hanamaru in the Daimyo Seimei Building for lunch. I got a numbered ticket starting from 10 in the morning and was the 6th in line, so it was easy to enter when they opened. The sushi was flowing on the conveyor belt, but I also enjoyed ordering from the menu and having it delivered by the staff. I had items like Hokkai shrimp, fresh salmon, fatty tuna, crab battleship, salmon roe, fatty tuna nigiri, herring, flounder, sardine, and salmon head soup. The fatty tuna and fresh salmon were delicious with a nice fatty texture. The flounder and fatty tuna were also excellent quality. The Hokkai shrimp, crab battleship, and sardine were okay, but the herring was too cold for my liking. Overall, I think the Hanamaru branches in Susukino and Tokeidai are better. The salmon head soup was flavorful and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere. It was a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

It's Friday evening, a late lunch time. I checked the waiting time information online and it didn't seem too crowded, so I hurried over. I got my ticket number and was called in about 5 minutes. Lucky! Finally, I can have some seafood in Hokkaido. First, I ordered the recommended flounder, striped shrimp, and snow crab battleship sushi. I also asked for a beer because it was hot that day. The flounder was huge, overflowing from the rice! It was fatty and melted in my mouth. And washing it down with beer...!!! So delicious! From the start, I was so excited. I was planning to fill up because I was going to have meat for dinner, but I'm already wavering. Next was the striped shrimp. I've never had this kind of shrimp before, but it was similar to the shrimp in New Year's dishes. The texture and taste were good. But for the price, I wish I had gotten the botan shrimp instead. The snow crab didn't impress me much, and little by little my excitement went down. But then, freshly made herring sushi came around and I couldn't resist. It was also recommended, so I had high hopes. And yes, it was delicious! Lastly, I wanted to redeem myself, so I had the clam and salmon battleship sushi, but they didn't really impress me either. I ended up eating too much... If I had waited a long time for this level of sushi, I would have been even more disappointed. Maybe if they had served something like "Freshly made ○○~!!" with a bell ringing, it would have been better? Feeling a bit unsatisfied, I left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I had been interested in Hanamaru for a while. I arrived on a weekday at 11:30 and got a ticket, with 8 groups ahead of me. I waited for 30 minutes before being seated. The waiting time was relatively short compared to places like Sushiro in Tokyo. When I looked at the menu, I noticed that there were a lot of ingredients from Hokkaido. It's truly a popular restaurant, isn't it?

During this trip, I planned to compare and contrast the sushi at "Nemuro Hanamaru" and "Triton," starting with a visit to "Nemuro Hanamaru" where I had been before. I arrived at 6:00 pm on a weekday and there were 14 groups ahead of me. I purchased a ticket from the machine and waited for my turn. I waited for about 45 minutes before entering the restaurant. Here is what I ordered: - Sweet Shrimp @ 209 yen - Scallop with Ponzu Sauce @ 209 yen - Fatty Tuna (1 piece) @ 308 yen - Two-Layer Scallop (1 piece) @ 308 yen - Seared Engawa @ 308 yen - Seared Fatty Salmon @ 308 yen - Salmon Belly @ 418 yen - Inca's Awakening Potato Fries @ 308 yen (shared with my wife) All the sushi was incredibly delicious and offered great value for money. The quality exceeded my expectations every time. The "Seared Engawa," which was outstanding last time, was equally fantastic this time. The "Seared Fatty Salmon" was also exceptionally tasty. The "Salmon Belly," which I tried for the first time, had a strong salty flavor and was delicious. The atmosphere was average, but the service was polite. Despite being a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the quality of the sushi was high, and the prices were reasonable. Once you try the sushi here, you won't be able to go back to the 100 yen per plate conveyor belt sushi chains. The conveyor belt sushi in Kanazawa was also delicious, but the sushi in Hokkaido stands out as exceptionally tasty.

During this trip, I had another main theme: eating conveyor belt sushi in Sapporo. I couldn't do it last time in Hokkaido, so this time I made sure to enjoy it. I had planned to visit the JR station building store, but it was temporarily closed for renovation, so I came to this branch instead. Even though it was still before noon, there was a large crowd as rumored. I got a numbered ticket and took a 30-minute stroll around the neighborhood before returning, only to find even more people had gathered. I may have timed it right. I sat at the counter. There was a conveyor belt, but it seemed you had to write your orders on a slip of paper. The energetic and attentive chefs were quickly handling the orders. Great expectations! I ordered mainly from today's recommendations, focusing on items I don't usually eat. I had oil-soaked stingray for 308 yen (★★), grilled squid for 308 yen (★★), salmon belly sushi for 418 yen (★★★). There was a dish with herring and whitebait for 308 yen (★★), crab battleship sushi for 418 yen (★★), red and white scallop sushi for 308 yen (★★★). The egg and milt, raw liver sashimi, and other unique dishes divided opinions due to their distinct flavors. Smoked mackerel (★★★), codfish miso soup (★★★), and monkfish liver for 418 yen (★★★) were also excellent. Tuna red meat (★★★), ark shell (★★), surf clam (★★), live yellowtail sashimi (★★★), etc. Everything was delicious! Even the 130 yen or 190 yen plates were tasty!

I visited just before 12 o'clock on a regular day. However, there was a wait of 24 groups, so I had to wait quite a bit. My first choice was the JR Tower Stella Place branch of Sushi Hyakumeiten 2022, but there was a wait of 44 groups, so I went to this place instead. I waited for about an hour. On this day, the recommended items were Bincho Maguro and Kinzanpou. Every piece of sushi was delicious and I was very satisfied.

During my trip to Hokkaido, I visited Sapporo and heard that sushi is a must-try there. I found a highly-rated conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Nemuro Hanamaru on Tabelog. When I arrived 10 minutes before opening time, there was already a long line! I should have skipped the flower shop and come earlier. The restaurant was fully packed as soon as it opened at 11:00, and we were able to get in around the second rotation at 11:20. The staff were all energetic and cheerful. The sushi was all delicious and melted in my mouth. The quality was truly top-notch. The Ginhō sushi was especially delicious!

Had sushi lunch at Nemuro Hanamaru~☆ After finishing a meeting in Sapporo on June 30, 2023, I headed to Nemuro. Well, Nemuro Hanamaru. I tried the set meal with dried fish, and everything was delicious. The soup even had crab in it. There was also chawanmushi, very luxurious. More and more customers kept coming in. I entered the restaurant after waiting for 15 minutes in the afternoon. I chose all the recommended dishes for today: Taraba crab ovaries, Hanasaki crab, grilled goby, silver treasure, grilled squid, red and white scallop roe. Everything was delicious! And all of this only cost a little over 2000 yen. It was amazing. Thank you for the meal.
