Kouhei has been talking about skiing at a ski resort that he wanted to visit since last year, and he finally decided to make it happen. Even though Saturday was supposed to be a late day, the work schedule suddenly changed, and he got off at 5 pm. He booked accommodation in Kamishihoro and arrived late at night, around 8 pm. They went to three different places to drink, and the next day they went skiing. For lunch, they went to the Center Lodge at a place called Ariesca...wait, actually it's called Arielle! They ordered the Salt Ramen for 900 yen and the Crab An Kake Ramen set for 1200 yen, but they declined the rice. The Crab An Kake Ramen was visually appealing and lived up to expectations. The Salt Ramen noodles were thick and had a nice texture, with a reasonable amount of green onions and nori. The menma seemed to be salt-free, and the chashu was not as good as it looked. The soup lacked depth and flavor, and the sesame seeds added a nice touch but couldn't make up for the lack of taste. The ramen seemed to be missing something, and the crab dumplings were hard and unappetizing. The pepper was overpowering, and there was no sign of the "an" (sauce) in the Crab An Kake Ramen. The soup tasted like a commercial broth with a hint of magic. Overall, the ramen was disappointing, especially considering the high price of 1200 yen. Despite being at a ski resort, there are places that serve delicious ramen, like Memuro where you can get tasty ramen for 750 yen or Asahikawa Ski Links where the price is reasonable and the ramen is good. It's important to offer quality ramen that matches the high price tag, so it would be better to improve the quality of the ramen served.

I ended up thinking it was a typical old-fashioned cafeteria food. Overpriced and not very tasty. A bit disappointing compared to the cafeteria at Meimuro Arashiyama Ski Resort. In my opinion, the pork miso soup set at Arashiyama has a good cost-performance and taste.

Full stomach with a mega curry at Nukabira Gensenkyo Ski Resort on January 31, 2011
Theme: Kamishihoro
The image of a ski resort restaurant has always been ordinary taste but high prices. However, in recent years, there have been improvements in the menu of this restaurant as part of ski resort reforms.
Introducing the Mega Curry (1,000 yen) here. The amount of rice is about 3 servings, piled high on a plate resembling a bowl. It was quite heavy, making it nerve-wracking to carry to the table in ski boots. The curry is filled with ingredients and tastes good. Even shared between two people, it is a satisfying portion.
Although it is a local ski resort in eastern Hokkaido, they also offer items like the Extra Large Char Siu Ramen, making lunch something to look forward to on the slopes.

Located in the mountains of Kamishihoro-cho, above the Tokachi region in eastern Hokkaido, near the junction point to Tokachi Sanpo and Lake Shikaribetsu, is the Nukabira Onsen Ski Resort Lodge 2F restaurant. The restaurant, previously operated by the Seibu Group, has been taken over by a new company called Green Neige Hokkaido Co., Ltd. and continues to operate with the same facilities but offering new and more affordable menu items. One popular menu item is the seasonal limited edition "MEGA Curry," which is double the size of a regular curry. Priced at 1000 yen, the MEGA Curry is served on a large plate and is recommended for two people to share. The taste is suitable for everyone, but can be customized with extra spices for those who prefer a spicier flavor. The portion size is generous, making it a satisfying meal after a day of skiing. The MEGA Curry is a popular choice among young skiers and is a convenient option for a quick and filling meal during the busy lunch hours. Although the MEGA Curry is only available in winter, it is a menu item worth adding permanently due to its popularity.
