The shop has a warm atmosphere and the owner is really nice! The side dishes seem to change daily, so it looks like you can have a fun meal anytime you visit.

The restaurant wasn't very spacious, but the food was delicious. It had a home-cooked style that was hard to describe but tasty. I don't think they had sashimi, but they had dishes like simmered fish and simmered vegetables that were quite good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for its taste.

I returned to my beloved Abashiri on May 3, 2017. I met up with local friends after a long time and we decided to go drinking at a place called Kururi. I had seen it on the Abashiri Bar website and was curious about it. I made a reservation in advance. When I arrived at the restaurant, I realized it was the location of a bar I used to frequent. The friendly owner welcomed us and told us to sit anywhere. We had some delicious appetizers, salad, pickles, tamagoyaki, clam soup, beer, fruit liquor, and wine. The appetizers were great, especially the salad with cabbage and cherry tomatoes. The pickles were also tasty. The home-cooked dishes on the counter looked appetizing. The prices were a bit high, but considering it's in Abashiri, it seemed reasonable. The place was full of locals and tourists, and the cozy atmosphere was very welcoming. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

2016.11 "Abashiri Bar" Yome-san said she wanted to try this "Abashiri Bar," so we met up and went. The deal was 5 places for 3,500 yen, 3 places for 2,500 yen, or 1 place for a seasonal appetizer and a drink (alcoholic or soft drink) set using local Abashiri ingredients served on a scallop shell plate. It's only available until the end of November, and today is the 26th, so why did we decide to go last minute? Yome-san said she wanted to visit 5 places. We thought of choosing places we hadn't been to or reviewed yet. However, the reality was disappointing. The shock factor wasn't there for the 700 yen per place we visited. The drinks offered were things like "coffee shochu" or "Yam Wasabi-flavored Bangoji Highball," which we didn't want to drink. In the end, we only visited one place we hadn't been to before, and the rest were revisits. The third place we visited was here, and it was quite crowded at the counter. We decided to sit at a raised seating area. The drink options were beer, wine, sour, plum wine, soft drinks, or sake. We chose beer, and for food, we had a three-item appetizer platter. The flavors were decent, but nothing extraordinary. After visiting two places, we were done with the "Abashiri Bar" experience, and our expectations were not high to begin with. Overall, it was okay.
