kabo-cha
** November 2016 ** Sandwich?..Sandwich?..which one is correct? (laughs) The menu at the restaurant said "Sandwich" so I'll go with this spelling. This place opened in June 2016, and I had been curious about it since summer. It was a bit out of the way from Hakodate to Sapporo, so I hadn't visited before. This time, I had some extra time so I decided to stop by. It's just bread to me...more like a snack for me (>.<) I went there with a light heart...but I underestimated it (-_-;) I apologize. The portion was huge...it was like a meal (laughs). The exterior has a country style? The snow fence kind of ruins the appearance, but it's understandable in Hokkaido's heavy snow area. There are tables in front of the entrance...it seems nice to eat here in the summer. Inside...it's like a fast-food counter with two tables for dining in and 4 counter seats facing the window. It's primarily a take-out place. You order and pay at the counter. A beautiful lady, maybe from a foreign country, explained, "First, choose your bread...then decide on the fillings." "The bread options are Baguette, Chapata, Croissant." Oh! "What's a popular combination?" With a smile, she said, "How about the Chapata BLT?" (^O^)/ I have a big appetite, so I went with her recommendation (laughs). Oh! Just regular coffee for the drink! After about 10 minutes of waiting at the table...it was served. Eh? Th...this is...a huge portion, right? Plenty of shredded carrots on top, thick bacon hiding tomato and lettuce, and lots of mustard! Looks delicious, right? (≧∀≦) Well then...let's dig in! This Chapata bread...looks hard but surprisingly easy to bite into. It's a fragrant and tasty bread. The large amount of shredded carrots...are they pickles? Overall, there's a vinegar taste. The bacon...is meaty! But...it's quite difficult to eat as expected. Well, it doesn't matter for a "wild" old man like me (laughs). The coffee is a small Americano, about the size of a medium at McDonald's. The taste is...very safe (^_^;) I finished it in one go!! It was supposed to be a snack time, but it turned into a full meal. Next time, I want to try the Croissant sandwich. Oh! Besides sandwiches, they also sell pie-like pastries and muffins. They also have shakes, so snack time is also okay. I just became a big eater who thought "Sandwiches are snacks" (sweat). By the way, there's a sister store called "Niseko Yummy's," a pizza place, so I'd like to visit there too! Thank you for the delicious meal (^O^)/
