In the vicinity of Ainomachi Station, I was craving for some dried fish ramen, but after finishing it, I still felt a bit unsatisfied. As I was driving home, I suddenly remembered a place that I think had dried fish ramen. So, I decided to turn my car around and head to that place. When I arrived, I realized that they didn't have dried fish ramen on the menu, so I settled for soy sauce ramen instead. It was just an average bowl of ramen, nothing special. The soup had a lot of oil on top, which made it really hot. The pork in the ramen was also just okay. After finishing the noodles, I had some rice, which was also nothing to write home about. Overall, it was a mediocre dining experience.

On the way to Ishikari, I found a restaurant with a big sign for Taiwanese Spicy Ramen. I thought that was my only choice. Later, I realized that below the Taiwanese Spicy Ramen sign, there was a sign for "Miso Ramen". I had assumed it would be soy sauce flavor from the Taiwanese sign, but it was actually Spicy Miso Ramen. Honestly, it would have been more helpful if they had clearly stated that. Just a regular Spicy Miso Ramen.

I enjoyed a nostalgic bowl of ramen, then headed towards the Tonden area in Kita-ku. I wanted something at a certain store, but couldn't find anything good. So, I decided to try another place on my way back and ended up at Kiyota for the first time. It was just before 2:30 pm, the end of the lunch hours, but there were a couple of customers already seated at the counter. I ordered the "old-fashioned soy sauce ramen" from the ticket machine and received my bowl in less than 5 minutes. The soy sauce broth was rich and flavorful, with a nice balance of depth and gentleness. The curly noodles had a good texture and soaked up the soup well. The chashu was also delicious and tender, perfect for dipping in the broth. I finished the whole bowl and left feeling satisfied. Even though my stomach was full, I couldn't resist coming back to this place again in a few days.

Just renovated ramen shop that recently opened. The restaurant has box seats where families with children can relax and also counter seats with partitions for a more spacious and comfortable atmosphere, suitable for solo female diners as well. They provide hair ties and paper aprons, showing attention to detail and making a good impression. You choose your menu at the ticket machine upon entering and pay there. This time, I ordered the new menu item "dried fish ramen" and also a half portion of fried rice which caught my eye. My companion ordered the stir-fried noodles with thick sauce. The dried fish ramen was not as fishy as I expected, but had a smooth soy sauce flavor with a rich taste. The straight noodles had a firm texture. It seems they use noodles from Morizumi Seimen, and they have a commitment to using different types of noodles for each ramen dish. The thick slices of pork were tender and melted in the mouth, which I liked. Even those who are not fans of dried fish should find it easy to eat. The fried rice was light and not too salty, making it a perfect match for the ramen. Just the right amount. The stir-fried noodles with thick sauce had a large portion! At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but considering the amount, it was worth it! The dish was packed with plenty of noodles and vegetables, and the sauce coated the noodles and eggs well, creating a good balance. It's recommended to share with a few people! The restaurant has a spacious parking lot and a cozy atmosphere, making it easy for people of all ages and genders to enter. The delicious food explains why it's a popular spot! I want to go back to try out the other menu items.

"I had a rich miso ramen. The miso flavor in the soup is strong and delicious. It's not too oily and perfect for those who like a stronger taste. The bean sprouts, chashu, and noodles are all tasty as well. However, there are a lot of staff members chatting, which creates a slightly awkward atmosphere."

I ordered the rich miso ramen for 790 yen with vegetable topping for an additional 150 yen. The lunch service included a small side of rice with wasabi. The menu described it as the most popular item, but I found the miso flavor to be lacking in richness. The ramen did not have the expected thickness. The noodles were the type that easily stretch. The vegetable topping included corn, bamboo shoots, cabbage, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms, which seemed to be the same toppings used in yakisoba. While the portion size was generous, I personally felt that the toppings did not complement the miso ramen well. The overall taste was bland with a lack of miso flavor. It had been a while since I last visited this place, and after eating the ramen, I experienced a strange numbness on my tongue and an unusual dryness in my throat. It felt like the kind of ramen you would find in a food court, with a taste that seemed to rely heavily on artificial flavoring. This experience made me appreciate the quality of homemade noodles and soup that you can buy directly from a noodle shop's outlet.

"I felt like eating ankake yakisoba, so I decided to try this place, Menya Kiyota. I heard that the portions were large from other reviews, but I decided to go for it. The menu is ticket vending machine type, so it's better to decide what to eat beforehand to avoid feeling rushed when other customers come in. I ordered the ankake yakisoba, which was a bit sweet with a soy sauce base and plenty of ingredients like pork, bamboo shoots, shrimp, squid, cabbage, carrots, baby corn, snow peas, wood ear mushrooms, and mushrooms. It had just the right thickness and was very filling. The noodles had a slightly burnt edge. Since the portion was large, I ended up using the condiments on the table to adjust the flavor midway through. I managed to finish it all. There were other menu items like Taiwanese ramen and hot pot ramen that caught my eye, so I might try those next time."

- Spicy Taiwan Ramen (Salt) 920 yen - Karaage (fried chicken) 400 yen - Gyoza (free with stamp card) - Half-fried rice (soy sauce) 250 yen Companion: - Ankake Yakisoba 920 yen - Vegetable Ramen Miso 840 yen First, we purchased our meals from the ticket vending machine. They have a stamp card system where you get a stamp for each ramen you order. With 5 stamps, you get free gyoza, and with 10 stamps, you get a free ramen (excluding Ankake Yakisoba). You can redeem the stamp card for your free items at the machine. Upon entering, there was alcohol spray for disinfection, and the seating was in individual boxed areas. They provided amenities like hair ties, various condiments, aprons, and self-service candies. However, there was a noticeable oil smell in the air that could stick to your clothes and hair, so be cautious. The Taiwan Ramen was mildly spicy and lacked depth in flavor. It reminded me of Korean spicy ramen but less flavorful. The egg was deliciously runny. The Ankake Yakisoba had a huge portion size with soft noodles, but the taste wasn't exceptional. The Vegetable Ramen Miso had a substantial amount of bean sprouts and was quite filling even without ordering a large size. The gyoza was average in size, with a strong chive flavor but lacked juicy meat filling. The highlight was the Karaage, which was a generous portion and tasted freshly fried. The Half-fried rice in soy sauce was surprisingly well-seasoned and delicious, with a good mix of fluffy and slightly moist texture. Overall, it might be worth trying the Chicken Ramen next time. Thank you for the meal!

I forgot which day it is on my low-carb diet. No progress from -5kg. Had a late lunch at 14:40 at Menya Kiyota. I think it was ¥760 for a light salt ramen. Even though they cheerfully said "Rice is free for lunch!", I politely declined the extra carbs. Then I saw a small sign saying "The wasabi on top of the rice is mountain wasabi. Please drizzle some soy sauce and enjoy." I immediately thought "I need two bowls of rice for that!" without hesitation. Maybe I can take it easy for the next 3 months? When I asked for two bowls, I realized that most places would give at least six bowls according to my mouth's standards. It made me happy. The medium thick noodles in the chicken broth-based salt ramen were delicious. The mountain wasabi rice was as tasty as I expected. I'm sure the rice itself would have been delicious too. Thank you for the meal.

While on the way to the site, I had lunch. This time, we went to "Kiyota" in Kita-ku, chosen by my colleague! Not in Kiyota-ku (Sapporo citizen-limited joke). Sorry about that! I ordered the Taiwan Spicy Miso Ramen! The menu says they select and source 13 types of spicy ingredients from Taiwan. High expectations. I also ordered the lunchtime service of rice and mountain wasabi. The Taiwan Spicy Miso Ramen was not too spicy... Personally, I liked the good richness. Maybe the sesame is working? The spiciness of Taiwan? It's great! Mix the mountain wasabi with soy sauce and rice! Ramen & mountain wasabi rice! Finished in no time! Thank you for the meal.

Today I visited Menyaki Yota-san. The parking lot is spacious and can accommodate up to 10 cars, making it easy to park even large vehicles. The interior of the restaurant may look small from the outside, but it is surprisingly spacious. There are counter seats and booth seats, so it is suitable for families with small children. I was surprised by the size of the ankake yakisoba I ordered, as it was a large portion. The taste was a bit light for my liking, but the quantity was definitely satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain weekday, I visited a cafe and left early to find another place for lunch. By chance, I stumbled upon a ramen shop in the popular Tonden 7-jo area of Kita Ward. I entered the neatly organized shop as soon as it opened, and this time I chose the "Chicken Ramen Set (920 yen)" from the menu, selecting a half portion of "soy sauce flavored fried rice". The staff, wearing a splatter-proof face shield, brought me my order and I quietly took my seat. After a while, my meal was ready. The ramen looked a bit less than a full-sized portion, with translucent thin yellow noodles that were slightly chewy. The soup seemed to have a clear soy sauce flavor, possibly based on chicken broth, and was light and refreshing with a hint of saltiness. The toppings included mizuna, spinach, two pieces of soaked hot fried tofu, green onions, seaweed, crispy pickled plum, and rolled chicken chashu. The soy sauce fried rice, which was surprisingly generous in portion, had a sweet taste with occasional small lumps of sweet lard, along with slices of chashu. As I revisited the shop after some time, I realized that it was a place where I could enter and leave normally, enjoying a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

Taiwanese Spicy Ramen Set. I ordered it for 1150 yen. It comes with a half fried rice set. I chose the fried rice with salt flavor. It was delicious. However, I was disappointed with the ramen... the taste was too salty and not really spicy or flavorful. The chashu comes in two types, pork belly and shoulder loin, but the meat was tough and lacked flavor. I got a stamp on my stamp card, but I will return the stamp card. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I came with my family. We bought meal tickets for the ON time and waited for a while. We sat down, handed in our meal tickets, and received two glasses of water. Our family consists of five people. We waited for the ramen to arrive. When the ramen arrived, I asked for a small plate, fork, and water for my child. The plate arrived, but the fork did not. Eventually, the fork arrived, but it was a spoon instead. They also forgot to bring the water. Hang in there, part-timer! The Taiwan Spicy Miso Ramen costs 880 yen. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles, and the toppings include seaweed, seasoned egg, shredded red pepper, green onions, bamboo shoots, and chashu. It's flavorful and spicy, but the spiciness is not overwhelming. The picture also shows a half portion of rich miso and soy sauce fried rice. This shop's specialty is definitely the chicken soba.

Today, I decided to change things up from my usual rich and heavy ramen and tried the Chicken Soba for 650 yen. It seems to be made with bonito broth, and despite being light, it is packed with flavor. It's really delicious! The noodles are medium thickness and curly, and the toppings include chicken chashu, green onions, crispy plum, mizuna, spinach, naruto, aburaage, and seaweed. The wasabi provided as a service on the side is not too spicy and has a great flavor. The restaurant pays attention to details, providing hair ties and paper aprons. They also offer complimentary candies for a palate cleanser and snacks for children to take home. Overall, great service!

When you enter the restaurant for the first time, you will find the ticket vending machine in a hard-to-spot location. I chose the rich miso ramen and gyoza, with a free side of rice. The soup and noodles were well balanced in flavor and texture, and delicious. However, there was a crunchy shell-like object in the seasoned egg that was a bit off-putting. As I continued eating, it became increasingly salty, but they provided extra soup to adjust the flavor. The gyoza was refreshing and seemed homemade, and tasty. They even offered to add wasabi to the rice. Overall, I think it's a restaurant worth revisiting.

There is a shop in Tonden, Kita-ku, Sapporo. I wanted to eat light ramen, so I visited this shop. I ordered the "Chicken Ramen" that was on the ticket machine menu! When it arrived, I could taste a nice balance of saltiness and chicken flavor. The ramen was easy to eat and the soup was very tasty. The chashu used chicken meat. I only have one picture, but it was delicious ramen.

During my first visit to the northern district, I was driving around and feeling hungry, so I decided to stop for ramen at Kiyota-san. I ordered the rich soy sauce ramen. The young employee with a fresh leaf mark on his uniform was working hard, which left a strong impression. The ramen was rich but had a surprisingly light aftertaste. It was the kind of ramen that makes you want to come back again.

I had been curious about this prefab ramen shop for a while. When I noticed lots of cars parked outside, I thought it must be delicious, so I finally decided to visit. Oh my goodness! Why didn't I come here sooner! It's so delicious!! Especially the "Chicken Ramen" is really tasty! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ This place is also featured in a magazine!! It's a recommended shop by the featured writer! Yay!! The first time I visited, the "Chicken Ramen" was recommended for those who like rich white broth. It's not too thick, but the flavor is solid. Besides chicken, you can also taste a white dashi (bonito-based) flavor. It somehow reminds me of chawanmushi. (I might be imagining things, haha) There are pickled plums on top, so my partner, who doesn't like plums, had to skip them. The plum flavor doesn't transfer to the soup, so if you don't like plums, you can just avoid them. On the other hand, there is no seasoned egg on top. I tried the seasoned egg on my second visit, but it was quite spicy, so it may not suit everyone. The Chicken Ramen here ranks quite high in Sapporo for its deliciousness. It's the number one recommendation by the featured writer. On my second visit, I tried the "Rich Soy Sauce Ramen." The soup wasn't that rich, not like a lard-based one. It's delicious when you slurp it without using a spoon. I also had the complimentary wasabi rice during lunchtime, which was quite a generous portion. It's not too spicy, but it has a nice balance of spiciness and sweetness. For women, it might be better to ask for half the lunch service rice. Apart from the ramen, I also recommend other dishes at Kiyota. The service here is amazing. In addition to the complimentary lunch rice service, they also provide disposable hair ties, paper aprons, and complimentary candies. They have a stamp card system where you get a stamp for each ramen you order. With 5 stamps, you get a free order of gyoza. You can continue collecting stamps for more rewards, like a free ramen after 5 more stamps. Isn't that too kind to customers!? However, since it's a ticket machine system, shy people might find it difficult to ask for stamps. That's why I deducted a star. Nevertheless, Kiyota is highly recommended in the Kita Ward of Sapporo. (*´꒳`*) On a side note, I tried a bite of the Taiwan Spicy Ramen from my companion. It's flavored with Taiwanese spices, but it's light and suitable for those who can handle Sichuan-style dan dan noodles. Even for someone like me who doesn't like Taiwanese street food, it was a tasty dish.

On February 12, 2019, I went to a sports goods store in this area with my second son for shopping. Since it was lunchtime, we decided to have ramen before heading home, but our usual hachimaki shop was closed... So we decided to try Kiyota, a nearby place we had never visited before! I imagined it to be a small shop with only a counter from the outside appearance, but to my surprise, it had a spacious interior with table seats as well. I purchased the Chicken Ramen Set (with half-fried rice, salt flavor) from the ticket machine. It was the first menu item under the ramen set, so I assumed it must be recommended. The clear chicken broth soup with Hokkaido egg noodles was indeed refreshing and light in flavor. Honestly, it was delicious but somehow felt lacking a little something, and I might feel unsatisfied with just the ramen alone. The fried rice in the set had three flavors to choose from, and I chose the salt flavor, which tasted like fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. It was good enough for me as I wasn't expecting the level of Chinese restaurant fried rice. The attention to detail was evident, and it's a ramen shop where you can easily go alone or with your family. Thank you for the meal!
