I have been transferred from Kitami to Sapporo. I have already moved, so I am staying in a hotel in Kitami for the handover. This is my regular accommodation in Kitami. It's cheap, clean, and includes free breakfast. It's close to the downtown area, which is convenient. The menu is not extensive, but I really like the onigiri and two types of soup. The easy parking is also a big plus.

This is a dining review in Kitami. I usually go back and forth by JR train, but today I am staying overnight at a regular place. It's not every time, but this place is the most common for me. It's cheap, clean, and even the super hotels are affordable here. The other place I like, Do***, has become quite expensive and lacks the charm of Asahikawa or Obihiro. This time, I ended up walking from the station to "Comfort" which is about 3 minutes away. As for him, he would probably take about 7 minutes to go drinking. The breakfast venue is on the 1st floor and the breakfast is cheap, but you can eat it here. I don't feel like eating much today because I'm looking forward to having ramen for lunch. Even so, I need to take a picture, so I reluctantly serve myself. While taking pictures, my wife says, "Can you take a picture of mine too?" Well, that's true. Everyone just wants to see the taste, and that's enough. I like inari sushi, and the salmon onigiri is delicious. The boiled egg is slightly soft-boiled, and you can hear the sound of cracking here and there. Well, it was a breakfast with no complaints.

I used it during Golden Week! I usually stay in Sapporo, but these days, the prices are quite high on weekends! On top of that, if you don't book early, it's hard to secure a room... But in Kitami, I was able to book a room right away even during Golden Week! It cost 5,100 yen per person. Breakfast is free! Coffee is available for free from 3 PM to midnight and from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM! When I stay at a place privately, I often go out to explore in the morning, so I choose the "no breakfast" plan! (laughs) But if it's free... (laughs) I went to check it out. The breakfast area is located at the back on the right side of the front desk on the first floor. It's a very ordinary breakfast, but considering the 5,100 yen accommodation fee, isn't it quite good for breakfast? There were 3 types of rice balls, inari sushi, bread, vegetable salad, yogurt, fruit, cereal, sausage, scrambled eggs, minestrone, vegetable soup, and drinks including coffee, orange juice, and oolong tea. I didn't eat too much because I had plans to go out and explore the area! (laughs)

Stay date is October 26-27, 2017 for a business trip. I used Comfort Kitami for the first time in a while. This time, I aimed for 800 bonus miles (lol) just by staying for one night (spot campaign) and I got them added! The room was clean and reasonably priced. There was even a welcome coffee. The best part is that breakfast is included for free. The main breakfast menu includes sausage, scrambled eggs, salad, four types of rice balls, bread, and soup. It's a sufficient amount to start the day. This time, I had three rice balls, sausage, scrambled eggs, salad, bean sprouts, and soup. Maybe three rice balls were a bit too much (lol). I'm not sure about the plans for after the second party, so I'll just book a hotel. In Kitami, there are various places to stay, but I usually choose this hotel because it's the most affordable option. This time, I made a reservation at "Comfort Kitami." As expected, accommodation costs in Kitami have been increasing recently, so taking the JR train back has become more common. Today, the prices weren't too high, so I decided to stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, I received a welcome coffee, which was just the usual machine coffee at hotels. They advertise "free breakfast," but it's always the same and doesn't have much variety, so you could skip it. But I decided to have it for the sake of posting on my food blog. Inarizushi and rice balls are must-have items for breakfast. I also took a boiled egg, but I didn't have the appetite to eat it, so I took it to go and turned it into a salad at home. I grabbed a sausage even though I didn't really have anything to eat, so it was just for show. Overall, the breakfast was as expected, and I have no complaints. Convenient location, less than a 5-minute walk from Kitami Station. One of my favorite hotel chains as the title suggests. I appreciate the good room environment and reasonable prices! This time, I stayed for one night with breakfast included for 5,100 yen, which is a great deal after Golden Week. Breakfast is free, so it might feel a bit wasteful if you don't eat it. The only complaint about breakfast is that they offer onigiri instead of rice. There are three types of onigiri available, but I prefer warm rice (laughs). I understand that it's probably for cost-cutting reasons, so I won't complain since I'm the one staying here (^^;). They also have Western-style dishes like bread and soup. However, maybe because it's free, the variety is limited. I don't mind since I don't stay here frequently (laughs). Thank you for the meal (^^).

◆April 2016◆ This is a reasonably priced hotel in front of Kitami Station. The quality of the rooms and service is high for the price, making it a good deal. The free breakfast is like a light meal, including onigiri, inari, bread, waffles, as well as soup, miso soup, scrambled eggs, sausages, and more. I ended up eating two onigiri, bread, and waffles in the morning. If they also had morning curry, it would be even better. I would like to stay here again when I visit Kitami.

I often use Comfort Hotel when I come to Kitami for work on June 27, 2015. Actually, there are not many hotels in Kitami, so they fill up quickly. Especially on weekends, the prices go up fast, so be careful. Comfort Hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, which is nice. It's a light breakfast with onigiri, bread, soup, miso soup, salad, egg dishes, sausages, and it's a sufficient breakfast. There are three kinds of onigiri: salmon, okaka, and tuna mayo. On weekdays, the prices are reasonable, and you get a light breakfast included, so it's a good deal. Thank you for the meal.

Last night, I had a meeting and a social gathering with some old friends after a long time. Unfortunately, Chobomama was not there. I slept in until 6:30 am due to oversleeping, so I decided to go have breakfast. It's not necessary for me to eat, but I'll go easy on myself. When I got off the elevator, it said "Today's soup is Borscht and miso soup", which dampened my mood. The Russian lady said "Bravo", but shouldn't it be "Shto, Eta"? The menu was the same as always, so there was no sense of excitement. I ended up eating "Kabo-chan Wiener" which surprisingly tasted good. I won't ask for comments on this review since everyone must be busy.

This hotel mainly offers breakfast service. I didn't have high expectations, but as you can see from the photos, it was more than enough for one person. It was a buffet style breakfast with a variety of rice dishes, bread, salad, soup, scrambled eggs, sausages, and more. It was much more luxurious than making breakfast for yourself alone. I even had inari sushi for breakfast. I was surprised to see that they even had cereal. What stood out was that since it was a complimentary breakfast, a lot of people came to eat. I saw people waiting for seats, so I decided not to go for seconds.

In July 2011, I stayed at this hotel when I went to take photos of the event train "SL Okhotsk" running from Kitami Station to Shari Station. It is located in front of Kitami Station, close to the downtown area, making it convenient for both work and sightseeing. I booked a budget plan through a travel agency's website this time. The price for one night (one room) with free breakfast included for a twin economy room was only 7,600 yen. Surprisingly affordable! The building is new and clean, the rooms are not too small, and the large beds are comfortable. The staff at the front desk, while somewhat businesslike, were efficient and left a good impression. The complimentary breakfast is available from 6:30 to 9:30. The breakfast venue is located at the back of the first floor front desk. There are table seats and counter seats, with slightly limited space for each person. There are about 40 seats, but it may get crowded depending on the day and time. We used it around 7 am on a Saturday, and about half of the seats were filled. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of dishes, such as scrambled eggs, sausages, shredded cabbage salad, macaroni salad, rice balls, inari sushi, cooked bread, cereals, minestrone-style soup, coffee, tea, milk, etc. Everything was delicious. The minestrone-style soup with lots of ingredients (even meatballs) left a lasting impression. By the way, it's a short walk from this hotel to Kitami Station, so we were able to fully enjoy the pre-departure scenery of the "SL Okhotsk" train.

On August 14, 2014, my partner and I went on a little trip to Kitami and stayed at Comfort Hotel, where we managed to get a last-minute reservation. Normally, I opt for room-only plans as I don't usually have breakfast, but this time the free breakfast was too tempting to resist. Even though I didn't plan on eating, I decided to have a light meal around 8:30 am. The breakfast was buffet-style with bread, rice balls, inari sushi, two kinds of soup (I had miso soup with tofu and clam chowder), salad, cereal, and more. It was quite a satisfying spread for a complimentary breakfast. I ended up eating more than I had planned.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip that included a round-trip flight from Haneda to Hokkaido with a package plan. Breakfast was included for free, and you could eat as much as you wanted, but it was first come, first served so please understand if things run out. Despite staying out until around 2am the night before for a business dinner, I somehow woke up at 6am and had breakfast before 7am. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and quantity, including delicious handmade onigiri (tuna mayo was especially good), inari sushi, soup, various types of bread, scrambled eggs, salad, sausages, and more. The coffee maker was broken, so they only had instant coffee which was a bit disappointing. I ended up eating too much with one onigiri, two pieces of bread, a large salad, scrambled eggs, and sausages. I might have let my guard down a bit since work doesn't start until the afternoon today. But overall, it was a good breakfast.
