In July 2023, next to the building of the Michi-no-Eki in Tokachi, it seems there is a shop booth. As I approached, it looked like a takeout-only Zangi (fried chicken) shop. When I entered, the shop owner was not there, but the owner's wife helped me. I ordered a special Zangi, and while waiting for it to be freshly fried, I learned that they won the runner-up prize at a Zangi event in Kushiro in 2014. The shop owner is from Kushiro. The Zangi was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had a nice spicy flavor. They also had seaweed salt Zangi and curry Zangi, which seemed interesting. I would like to visit again when I come back to the Michi-no-Eki. It was a surprising find that the shop was run by someone from Kushiro. It was a delightful meal.

I visited M.Kitchen for the first time since they relocated. They have moved to the premises of Shikabe Road Station, following the closure of Horo Umizan Market. As a result, they are now operating in a new location. As I approached the restaurant, the smell of garlic was quite strong. After carefully reviewing the menu, I decided to order the "Petit Zangi (3 pieces)" for 400 yen. You can choose your preferred flavor, so I chose the seaweed salt flavor. It took about 5 minutes for them to fry it. They delivered it to me while I was waiting on the bench in front of the shop. I enjoyed the freshly made Zangi in the car. It came with Worcestershire sauce, and it was hot and crispy, just the way I like it. The meat was tender, but I felt like something was missing in terms of seasoning. I had the same feeling during my previous visit. I think one more piece would have been perfect. I was surprised that instead of 3 pieces, they gave me 6 pieces. I look forward to my next visit. Next to the Michi no Eki in Shihoro, there is a Zangi shop. It's nice that they fry it after you order ☺️ Hot and juicy❣️ It was delicious♪

Special Zangi 900 yen Zangi is hot and crispy, juicy and tasty! The coating is crunchy. The flavor is strong but mild and easy to eat. A friendly Zangi that is easy to enjoy.
