Located about a 10-minute walk from Rumoi Station, this pub & bar is situated in the food and drink district of Nishiki-cho. It has a casual and welcoming atmosphere where you can feel comfortable even if it's your first time there. The menu mainly consists of cheese and sausages that go well with beer and Western spirits. I stumbled upon this place one night while staying in Rumoi. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly elderly master. There were a few other customers, mostly sitting at the counter, creating a lively pub-like atmosphere. The bar seemed to have many regular customers, as I noticed several keep bottles behind the bar. The establishment had a calm and relaxed vibe, making it easy to unwind. Since I was just looking to have a light drink, I decided to go with the master's recommendation and ordered a Macallan 12-year-old whiskey. I also asked for some sausages as a snack, and while waiting, I was served a boiled egg. The two sausages that arrived were presented in a unique way, with a crispy smoked skin. They paired well with the whiskey, even without mustard. The sight of the sausages sparked a conversation among the other customers, starting with the discussion of Japan Ham's championship battle, then transitioning to famous athletes, politicians, Italian history, and eventually leading to a consensus that "Hokkaido's food is delicious." The casual and laid-back atmosphere of the bar allowed me to seamlessly blend into the conversation, despite being a first-time visitor. Overall, it was a cozy and welcoming place with a homely feel.
