I enjoyed a cozy restaurant with a homey atmosphere and unique wall paintings. They offer a variety of dishes for lunch, and the Chinese chef's homemade dishes were delicious with a nostalgic taste. For dinner, I went to Soso (Soh) which was an interesting place with a play on words.

I've always been curious about this place~ so it's here. I saw soft serve ice cream, so I decided to visit! They have deli, lunch, izakaya, and a relaxing atmosphere. The soft serve ice cream is rich and refreshing, made with Calpis. I'll come back next time for lunch.

I visited "Kotonoso Soso" for the second time. As usual, it was crowded during lunchtime. I ordered the set meal with 5 side dishes and added some chicken karaage. Today's 5 side dishes were minced fish fry, potato salad, burdock bacon stew, grilled hokke with vegetables, and turnip with okra. It was a healthy and body-friendly meal. The freshly grilled chicken karaage, which can be added for 150 yen, is also recommended. I had a mini cup of ice cream after the meal, which costs 100 yen, but don't underestimate it - it's delicious with rich and creamy milk flavor.

Today I visited this cafe for coffee time. You can enjoy a cup of coffee for only 250 yen, and you can even get a refill. The coffee here has a refreshing taste that is perfect for after lunch. And the must-have item here is the soft serve ice cream! It has a milky flavor that is absolutely delicious. The apple pie is not too sweet and pairs well with the soft serve ice cream.

I visited for lunch. It's a hidden gem as it's located inside a residential house, tucked away behind a big road. I tried the Kotoni Sodon (assorted seafood bowl) and the Assorted Five Side Dishes Set. The Sodon had a variety of seafood including sea urchin, with finely sliced fish making it easy to eat. The side dish set had a home-cooked flavor with a moderate amount of salt, and was delicious. You can have up to two servings of rice and miso soup for free. Coffee after the meal is complimentary. For dessert, I ordered soft serve ice cream. The cream was rich and definitely recommended.

The sea urchin was delicious, with a smooth and clean taste, even just three pieces were satisfying. Finally got to eat delicious sea urchin this year. Also, the tuna belly meat in the tuna sashimi was also very delicious and satisfying. The overall deliciousness of this seafood bowl has significantly increased thanks to the sea urchin and tuna. I also tried the assorted seafood bowl. The sushi rice had a strong vinegar flavor, almost to the point where you could eat it on its own without any toppings. The pickled ginger and perilla leaves occasionally mixed in with the flavors, but I feel like a slightly milder vinegar flavor would be better. The marinated mackerel was not too soft, but had a good balance of flavor and texture. The flying fish roe and sweet shrimp were included, along with what seemed to be yellowtail slices. The ginger was most likely store-bought, not homemade, which I feel slightly detracts from the overall experience. I personally feel that most ginger served with sushi or seafood is unnecessary and distracts from the flavors. Although I eat it, I find that it often interferes with the seafood's natural taste. Good quality ginger is always welcome, but unfortunately, it is rarely encountered. Especially during lunch...

The restaurant is located within a 10-minute walk from JR Kotoni Station. Upon entering, I was shown to an open seat. I looked at the menu on the table. There are three lunch options available. I ordered the "Assorted 5 Dish Set". Looking around, there are about 10 counter seats and several table seats. The walls are covered with paintings. In about 10 minutes, my order arrived. The round plate included 3 side dishes: Grilled salmon belly, simmered daikon radish, and cucumber and dried young sardines in vinegar. There were also 3 small side dishes: Croquette, steamed chicken with grated ponzu sauce, and rolled omelette. The rolled omelette was not part of the 5 side dishes. The grilled salmon belly was slightly warm and flavorful even without soy sauce. The croquette was impressive, hot and crispy on the outside with a fluffy potato filling inside. With 5 side dishes, the meal was quite filling. The "Assorted 5 Dish Set" costs 850 yen including tax. Wi-Fi is available here.٩( ᐛ )و

I visited the cafe based on reviews from other customers. The interior of the cafe is stylish and I think it's easy for a woman to visit alone. The lunch menu offers 3 kinds of side dishes set for 700 yen, 5 kinds of side dishes set for 850 yen, and tuna bowl for 900 yen. I ordered the 3 kinds of side dishes set (minced cutlet, bean sprout chapchae, cold tofu) and it was served within 10 minutes, which I thought was fast. However, I was concerned about the portion size based on photos from another day, and my worries were justified. The amount of side dishes was small. The main dish is probably the minced cutlet, which was served in a small dish, just one piece, slightly smaller than Lawson's Genkotsu minced cutlet. I thought that for 850 yen, it was a bit expensive considering the portion size. The taste is on the better side. The pickles seemed homemade, and the miso soup and rice were simply delicious. The minced cutlet and chapchae were decently tasty. The tofu was mediocre as it was just a small piece with nanban-zuke on top. The benefit is that you can have free refills of rice and miso soup, and you also get coffee or tea after the meal. I ordered iced coffee, which had a rich flavor and was delicious. Another thing that caught my attention was the service. The woman who seemed to be the owner was polite, she came out to guide me to the parking lot, but she seemed more focused on chatting with regular customers (a bit loud). The other female staff members didn't make eye contact and seemed a bit indifferent, quickly placing the coffee and leaving. Overall, the service was a bit lackluster. It's a place that seems Instagram-worthy, offering stylish set meals, so it might be a good place to consider.

The wall with painted art looks like it would be Instagrammable depending on how you take the photo. I wish I had the time to make it Instagram-worthy and post it, but I'm quite busy with work on weekends and weekdays, so I just took a normal photo. Recently, I find it tough to make time for lunch, and I look forward to it. This place offers mainly Japanese cuisine and has a unique atmosphere that might appeal to those who like a bit of contrast. The lunch set with five side dishes was sold out for some items, which seems common around 2 o'clock. Each dish had a homemade feel to it, and the flavors and cooking were good. The main dish wasn't served piping hot but more like pre-made side dishes in small bowls. The side dishes were all homemade and delicious, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and the skillful cooking. You can enjoy a variety of side dishes with rice at a reasonable price, and I feel like I would have been a regular at this kind of place if it had been nearby in the past. I'll definitely come back again.

There is a new tapioca shop near a shop that looks like a koto. I have been having lunch here every day because the side dishes change every day, so it's always fun! For 700 yen, you get 3 side dishes, pickles, tamagoyaki, and unlimited rice and miso soup. And they even include coffee. You can also get 5 side dishes for 850 yen. The quality of the side dishes is really high. It's like home cooking, but with sophisticated seasoning. As someone who prefers mild flavors, I find it very delicious. The side dishes are always a bit different and it's exciting to see what they offer each day. I've been here about 6 times and the best dish I had was the grilled yellowtail. The meat dishes are also delicious, but I really enjoy the fish dishes. The miso soup is always seaweed miso soup, but it's so tasty. All the dishes are things you could make at home, but they have a special touch that makes them unique. I wonder what kind of magic they use to make them taste so good. I'm sure these delicious side dishes would go great with some drinks... I want to come here at night too. If this restaurant was closer to my home, I would definitely be a regular customer. The walls inside and outside are decorated with illustrations that seem to be inspired by Instagram, but even without them, the food would still be popular. The drawings are beautiful. It's fun to look for the small animals hidden in them.

I was guided by my second daughter to visit this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, it was on a holiday that was not their regular closing day. However, during that visit, there were no feather and black cat paintings on the exterior wall. I was able to witness the painter, I-san, completing a feather painting on the wall, with a beautiful lady as the model. I managed to take a snapshot of it. Actually, these feathers are not just for one person. The right side seems to be for men, and it would be nice to take a picture facing each other as a couple. This time, I will have lunch before heading back. Inside the restaurant, there are wall paintings by I-san, depicting the sea, forest, and animals. What's interesting is the hidden pictures in the clouds. I wonder how many there are? It would be fun to search for them with someone. I ordered the negitoro tuna bowl for 900 yen. The vinegar in the rice was a bit strong, but the tuna and negitoro were delicious. You can get free refills of miso soup and rice, and also a complimentary coffee or tea after the meal. So, I think the cost performance is quite good. They also have a daily changing lunch set menu. The owner here is actually acquainted with the owner of Koharu, which is another restaurant I know. It seems like I'm getting to know all the local restaurant owners. I would like to support them. (#^.^#)

It took too long, even though I went right after they opened in the evening. The service was not good, and the food was delicious but I won't be visiting again next time. Disappointing.

This is a newly opened shop on May 30, 2019. The menu is still limited, but each item was very delicious. Looking forward to what they have in store in the future.

I have used their takeout service twice. Each time I tried a different menu and the flavors were sophisticated. The prices are similar to supermarket deli items, so I would prefer to use this place if possible.

The dashimaki tamago had a strong broth flavor and a refined taste, which was delicious. I wish there was grated daikon with soy sauce, but we didn't have any at home. The karaage was surprisingly tasty, even though I usually don't like sweet and savory karaage. The crispy skin, thick meat, and rich flavor balanced well and tasted delicious. When I first saw the nikudofu, I thought there wasn't much meat, but the flavorful meat soaked into the tofu, so eating them together was just the right amount. It was delicious. The corn bacon was simply delicious, neither exceptionally good nor bad.

I had always been curious about this delicatessen, but had never been there before. I finally mustered up the courage to go in. As soon as I entered, there was a takeout deli section with dishes like grilled silver salmon, kinpira burdock root, and simmered chicken and root vegetables. They also had apple pie. I was drawn to the delicious-looking zangi and bought 3 pieces for 100 yen each. I had one for dinner at home and it was quite large, coated with white sesame seeds and had a sweet flavor. It remained juicy even after some time and went well with rice. I definitely want to go back for more zangi!
