I had a 500 yen pork cutlet set meal and sashimi set meal. It seems that due to recent price increases, they have reduced the number of shrimp in the shrimp fry set from 6 to 5, and reduced the number of slices in the seafood bowl. However, I decided to stick with the unchanged pork cutlet set meal and sashimi set meal. The pork cutlet was thin but had a crispy coating, so it was decent. The sashimi slices were quite small, about half the size of a regular slice, so even though there were 6 slices, it felt more like 3. But for 500 yen, I'm satisfied. Next time, I'll go for the extra rice option. Thank you for the meal, I'll come back again.

A Japanese restaurant in Asahimachi, Asahikawa City. This place is popular for its affordable lunch sets. After work, I stopped by here after shopping at the nearby Uniqlo. I've been here for a party before during the evening, but this was my first time coming here personally at night. Looking at the menu, the prices for the evening are also quite reasonable. I usually like to order a sushi and tempura set at places like this, but they didn't have a menu that combined both. While they had individual sushi and tempura set meals, there was no set that included both. Many people like to order double portions of their favorite items for the lunch special here. I couldn't eat a double portion of sushi and tempura set, but they did have individual tempura options. The prices were reasonable, so maybe I should order both... (laughs) I ordered the "Namanare" (880 yen) and the "Tempura Assortment" (980 yen) to try. In about 6-7 minutes, the namanare arrived, followed shortly by the tempura. The service here is fast, just like during lunch. The namanare... it's the first time I've seen it written as "san-shi" in a restaurant. Is "chirashi" not acceptable? Well, that doesn't really matter (laughs). The toppings included squid, mackerel, tuna, salmon, ikura, amberjack, egg, and flying fish roe. The sushi rice was slightly vinegary. With miso soup included, for 880 yen, it was quite good. The tempura assortment... it had 3 shrimp, 2 white fish (maybe cod?), sweet potato, pumpkin, eggplant, green pepper, and onion, all fried to a crispy perfection. It came with both tempura dipping sauce and matcha salt. It wasn't a huge portion, but the shrimp could have been reduced to 1 and the price made more affordable as a side dish option. Despite that, I enjoyed it and finished everything (laughs).

I went there for the first time in many years... I was nearby and short on time, and I was in the mood for a tempura bowl...♪*゚The last time I went was, I think, when I had a coupon. I remember being surprised that the sushi-like set menu came with rice... It was like a festival? lol The menu seemed a bit different this time. [Seafood bowl] ♬ 500 yen Suddenly in a sashimi mode...? Or rather, a vinegar rice mode (*^^*) lol It arrived in about 3-4 minutes from ordering! Still as fast as ever!! Hmm... it's like this... it's a bit sinewy red meat, so it's time to use the "treasure sword"... At this point, I decided to cut everything into small pieces and make it into a scattered sushi... Fast! Cheap! Delicious!! It's only one coin after all... there's nothing to complain about (^-^; I saw what looked like mackerel at the end, but it wasn't in there, which was disappointing... sob I was in vinegar rice mode, but the amount of rice was a bit small, which was just right for me... no, maybe a little too little? Everyone should have ordered the large portion... (´-ω-`) sigh The miso soup was light in flavor but had a strong dashi taste and was delicious ♬ Anyway... thank you for the meal (*^^*)

It's "Wadokoro Tsutamori" in 2022. We were originally planning to go for ramen, but my wife's suggestion changed it to Japanese food. This restaurant is famous for its 500 yen lunch, but there were mixed reviews so we had been putting off going. We were seated at a sunken kotatsu table. We made our way there with our bottoms wiggling, just like in Tamori Club. Our son ordered the kids' lunch (500 yen), while my husband and I ordered the 500 yen lunch. The 500 yen lunch Fry Set costs 500 yen (tax included). The fry consists of squid, two small fish, and two pieces of cod. They were freshly fried and tasted good. However, they were quite small in size. The miso soup had a great flavor and was delicious. But I think the shrimp fry in our son's kids' lunch was the best (laughs). We also ordered the addictive cucumber for an extra 500 yen because the 500 yen lunch alone felt a bit lacking. It was a light pickled cucumber dish, but it was not outstanding. The 500 yen lunch is honestly just okay for its price. Personally, I felt that the portion was not satisfying enough, so I thought it would be good if they introduced an "800 yen lunch" with upgraded content of the same menu items.

In the neighborhood, when you want to have a casual meal out without going to a chain or fast food restaurant, there's a convenient place called "Wadokoro Tsutamori." Located at 1-6 Asahimachi, Asahikawa City, you can find it on the map here: https://goo.gl/maps/Z1Li1cshkkQBSvHt5. They are open from 12pm to 11pm, closed on Wednesdays. They have parking, smoking is allowed. This place is somewhat famous for their summer eel dishes. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The restaurant is spacious with semi-private seating, so it's popular with families. They stay open quite late and are very user-friendly. They offer a variety of Japanese rice dishes on the menu at moderate prices. They also have seasonal items like the ones I tried. I ordered the following dishes: - Fried corn for 390 yen (excluding tax) with a "captivating butter soy sauce flavor." It was not as strong in butter soy sauce flavor as the copy suggested, more like boiled corn than fried, but still good. - Ebi Katsu Don for 680 yen (excluding tax) with 3 cute shrimp cutlets. The seasoning was different from typical Japanese restaurants, more refined and not too sweet or salty, but the dashi base gave it a satisfying taste. This kind of Katsu Don is not something I eat often. Interesting. Overall, the dishes were decent and the prices were reasonable. It's great to have a user-friendly restaurant like this nearby.

I arrived 10 minutes before the opening time of the restaurant. There were already three cars parked. By the time they opened, there were already 6-7 cars? It seems to be quite popular. The parking lot is spacious so there was still plenty of space. Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to do and since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. I ordered the one-coin menu item, the pork cutlet set. The menu with photos is great! While waiting, more and more customers kept coming in. Surprisingly, there weren't many salarymen? It seemed like there were a lot of regular locals. The pork cutlet set wasn't very big, with four cutlets. It came with a small bowl of rice, miso soup, and pickles. Since it was a one-coin menu, it didn't look extravagant, but everything was delicious! The rice was great, the miso soup had a rich flavor, and the cutlets were tender and freshly fried. It seems like you can get a large portion of rice for free? The person next to me was having the large portion. If this is the quality, I will definitely come back again. It's truly a popular place! I think I'll try the mixed fry set next time.

I was taken out for lunch. It was a Saturday, but they were serving lunch without any wait. The parking lot was spacious. The lunch menu had several options, all priced at 500 yen. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. I ordered sushi that was not part of the lunch menu. It cost around 1,300 yen for 10 pieces, which included sea urchin, salmon roe, crab, and ark shell - all high-quality toppings on large rice balls. The drink prices were also cheap, but the pricing balance of the side menu was interesting. Even if it's not lunchtime, the prices are affordable, making me envy those who work nearby. If there was a 500 yen promotion in front of the store, I think it would be even busier. If this place were in Sapporo, there would always be a line.

I wasn't very hungry, so I stopped by this 500 yen lunch place. There were various options, but I felt like having the pork cutlet set meal today. The pricing was reasonable, and it came with a salad. It wasn't bad at all. I had lunch at a different place before, but compared to that terrible experience, this one had delicious rice and decent miso soup. The pork cutlet was not freshly fried, but it was made with normal meat. The restaurant had private rooms and served the food to your table, creating a noticeable contrast to the previous place where you had to buy meal tickets and pick up your food yourself. Despite the cost-cutting measures, the quality of the meal was good. I want to support them for trying their best in these tough times, but I hope it doesn't get too crowded. I tend to write in a scattered way, but next time, I plan to try a menu that is a couple of notches higher.

If you drive a little while from Asahikawa Station, you'll find a famous large restaurant where you can enjoy a quick meal. It's a place that many salespeople driving in Asahikawa have probably visited before. They offer a "One Coin Lunch" which is quite a deal, with a spacious parking lot and plenty of seating on the first floor with semi-private partitions and a large tatami room on the second floor. The lunch is perfect for a few people at a very reasonable price. It may not be the most delicious meal, but it's a valuable spot among the numerous "One Coin Lunch" places in Sapporo. It's crucial to time your visit well as the parking lot fills up quickly after they open at 12 pm. The laminated lunch menu offers various options, but I usually go for the fry set. The prices are so affordable that you can't expect luxury, but sometimes you might question the contents of the sashimi set or the appearance of the tempura. Can they really offer a tonkatsu for 500 yen? These thoughts may run through your mind, and in the end, you might just stick with the fry. You can add a drink for 100 yen, but I prefer to stick to the "One Coin" concept. The operation runs smoothly like a large restaurant, with orders sent wirelessly to handheld devices and served promptly. The presentation may not be fancy, more like a clean school cafeteria style, but for 500 yen, it's not bad at all. The miso soup is plentiful, and the fry, although not using high-quality ingredients, still provides a satisfying meal. This place may not be everyone's favorite, but it's definitely a go-to spot for many during the days leading up to payday. It's so affordable that it makes other cheap eateries seem like high-end restaurants. Overall, it's a place where you can fill up your stomach without breaking the bank. Bon appétit!

I wonder if it's a female owner? I like the friendly older lady who is good at dealing with customers. The one-coin lunch is so affordable that it gets crowded at lunchtime. The seafood was fresh and delicious - I want to try other items on the menu too.

After the memorial service, I had an excellent eel bowl for dinner. It was good value for money, but I was disappointed to wait for 50 minutes after ordering.

I visited this restaurant during a business trip to Asahikawa. It was past 12 o'clock when I stopped by on my way to a client's place. The restaurant was quite crowded, about 80% full. I was seated in a sunken kotatsu-style seating area and browsed the menu. They had an amazing selection of dishes for only 500 yen, including sashimi, seafood bowl, sushi, shrimp fry, cutlet, mixed fry, and tempura bowl. I wondered if everyone was here for this deal. I hesitated, but ended up ordering the cutlet set for 500 yen. The food arrived quickly, in about 5-6 minutes. The cutlets were thin and lacked a meaty texture, but considering the price, it was understandable. It seems like they pre-fry the cutlets as the order came out fast. They weren't piping hot, but the batter was crispy. Overall, it was decent for 500 yen, which explains why the place was so busy. Thank you for the meal.
