"I found a shop called 'Maido-ya' selling meat and bento while strolling around Betsukai town on my way to the bakery. The deli items at the butcher shop looked delicious, but the fact that the meat was not displayed in the case made me hesitate to buy without seeing it. The shopkeeper mentioned that they would bring out the meat if I asked, but it didn't feel very satisfying to buy without seeing it first.
I decided to order 400g of lamb meat, which they would cut for me. The slices were a bit thick, but I thought as long as it tasted good, it would be fine. As I looked at the meat, I noticed they also had 'Salted Ceceri' in the freezer, which seemed like a better option. I should have taken my time to look around the shop before purchasing.
The meat was not marinated, so my wife suggested we should eat it soon. I wondered if marinating it would make a difference in taste. However, leaving it in the bag overnight would result in the accumulation of red liquid, indicating that it was not as fresh.
The next day, I noticed the red liquid in the bag, a sign that the meat needed to be cooked soon. I decided to cook it in a Genghis Khan pot, and as I started cooking, I could already sense the taste of the meat. I have been cooking Genghis Khan for 56 years now, and I can usually tell the quality of the meat just by cooking it.
The thickness of the meat caught my attention this time. While the price may vary, I realized that I might prefer buying marinated meat from now on. The meat I bought this time might not be suitable for thick slices. That was my experience with the meat shop. It was a subtle observation, not just about the texture but also about the taste of the meat."

Ginger pork for 600 yen might be a bit expensive. Average.
