As the name suggests, this bakery is not actually located on Harukoma Street, but the silo-shaped entrance stands out and the large building gives the impression of a spacious interior. The recommended items today include a variety of interesting breads, from traditional to modern and unique, making it difficult to decide what to buy! The staff meal sandwich (340 yen) features a fluffy and chewy bread with a delicious crust, complemented by a perfectly seasoned egg and fragrant ham. The most popular item for a reason! The baked curry bread (180 yen) features a fluffy bread filled with curry and cheese. The curry donut (200 yen) may be small, but it is dense with a spicy curry filling that has a hint of sweetness from vegetables and fruits. The croissant amandine (270 yen) is delightfully sweet and fluffy. The French bread dough with mashed potatoes and black pepper, bacon, and mashed potatoes is a hearty and flavorful treat!

When I used to go to a French restaurant called Le Bordeaux, I was so impressed by the delicious bread they served that I couldn't help but ask about their supplier. That's how I found out about "Harukoma Bakery." They opened in June 1999, relocated in 2004, and moved to their current location in October 2010. It's a renowned bakery in Obihiro, known for its high-quality bread. The owner, Mr. Kurihara, originally from Saitama, was captivated by the vitality of Tokachi and decided to move there. He has a close relationship with wheat producers, which is unique to the area.
Their bread is always delicious, but this time I decided to go for something simple and in small quantities. The bakery is a bit hard to find on the main street, but the charming castle-like building with a tower that looks like Rapunzel's hair makes it stand out. The interior displays and signs are cleverly designed, making you smile, like the sign saying "Today's well-baked bread." They have mini baguettes, which are perfect for one-time consumption to avoid them getting stale the next day.
I picked a walnut French bread, only available on Wednesdays, and a half loaf of their signature Harukoma bread made from Tokachi wheat. The bread has a slightly brownish hue, indicating the inclusion of whole wheat flour, which I found to be a healthy touch. The owner's dedication to health is evident in the promotion of a "gut-friendly bread" containing 30% soy flour.
The Harukoma bread was soft with a fine texture and a rich flavor. It's one of the best quality bread in Tokachi. My picky friend also loved it, so I might make it our go-to bread. The walnut French bread, unfortunately, crumbled a bit because I left it for a while, but the taste was still excellent. The nutty flavor blended well with the bread, making it delicious even without butter. I'll definitely visit again soon.
As I was leaving, I saw the owner shoveling snow outside. I felt grateful for their hard work in making bread and silently thanked them before leaving the shop.

I stopped by on the last day of the year. The bakery "Hanare" in Otofuke that I visited the other day ✨ is located in a residential area. It wasn't the image I had of a place like "Hanare"! Since it was late, there weren't many options, but I bought a bread that caught my eye and headed home ✨ The bread was not flashy or eccentric, but very simple and gentle ✨.

For lunch today, I decided to go to Harukoma Bakery, where I had bought bread from a long time ago. It had been about 12-13 years since I last visited, but the bakery is still going strong. The store has been relocated, and it is now in a new building. I wonder how old the building is. The exterior and interior of the store have changed a lot and it looks very impressive. The menu seems quite different from what it used to be in the old store. It's the changing times, I suppose. The bakery is still very popular, with customers coming in one after another. I bought some anpan, tsubu-koshi, nejiri, and chocolate-flavored bread. They all tasted average, nothing too special. The prices were also average. It's a decent bakery without any particular standout features. The interior of the store is very clean and has a cool atmosphere. I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop located in a residential area that offers a variety of bread. It is well-known in the city and when I asked for permission to take photos while selecting some bread, they kindly agreed. Some bakeries can be hesitant about allowing photography, so it was nice to receive such a positive response. Today, after having lunch, I was already full, so I only bought a few items:
- Peanut bread for 97 yen: Small but filled with lots of peanuts, giving a nice texture.
- Croissant for 172 yen: Not as flaky as I prefer, but had a good buttery taste.
- Curry donut for 172 yen: Small in size but with a thin bread layer and a generous filling, very delicious.
- Kouign-amann for 270 yen: It was moist rather than the typical crispy texture, with a nice touch of mascarpone cheese. They have special promotions like freebies for shoveling snow (as per Facebook) and discounts for LINE friends, so make sure to check for deals before visiting.

Harukoma Bakery in Obihiro City is a must-visit spot when in Obihiro! After enjoying some Segway riding and playing with goats at Tokachi Millennium Forest, I made sure to stop by here. The real star here is the melon pan from Furano Ueda Orchard. The melon from Ueda is simply the best, with a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. Pair that with the soft and moist bread from Harukoma, topped with a generous amount of almond cream that tastes like honey. It's truly delicious! The blend of homemade cream and custard cream inside is to die for. The cozy seating area inside the bakery is also a nice touch. I will definitely be back next year! If you plan on visiting, make sure to let them know in advance how many you want and what time you'll be there. Don't miss out on trying this for yourself!

I visited Harukoma Bakery for the first time! Recently, I've been thinking that having bread for lunch is a good idea, so I headed to the bakery. The building is big and has a stylish feel to it. Inside, the store is not very spacious, but the atmosphere is cheerful and bright, and the staff is very friendly. The first thing that caught my eye was the croissants, they looked delicious! I bought three: a croissant sandwich with lettuce and mayo which was a perfect combination, a cheese croissant with a firm cheese that had a subtle salty taste which was delicious, and a ham and cheese croissant which might be the ultimate combination. I thought the croissants were delicious, and I highly recommend this bakery for their tasty croissants. Thank you, Harukoma Bakery!

I visited this place once last fall and saw the Real Melon Pan on TV, so I wanted to try it and waited until summer. I found out I could make a reservation through Jalan, so I made a reservation in advance because I wanted to make sure to get it as it is far from Obihiro. I arrived at the shop before 4 pm, but there was already a sold out sign. A customer who arrived earlier was talking about the Real Melon Pan at the time of payment, so they said, "Reservations are definitely the way to go." In addition to the Real Melon Pan, I bought two other items:
- A cheese-filled spicy wiener bread: My husband chose this one, but even though I don't like cheese, I was able to eat it. It was described as spicy, but it wasn't as spicy as I thought, just a light kick, so even children should be able to eat it.
- A bread like an apple pie: It had fresh apples on top, not sugar-coated, so it tasted like baked apples with a hint of acidity. The custard underneath the apples wasn't too sweet, and it wrapped the apple's acidity nicely with a moderate sweetness.
- Real Melon Pan: You can ask for it to be sandwiched after ordering. The melon bread itself was fluffy with a subtle sweetness that complemented the melon. There were three pieces of diced melon on top of the whipped cream. There was almond cream behind the whipped cream, but because the melon was sandwiched in between, the almond cream was hard to distinguish. With the juicy melon, the bread dough and melon flavor were strong, and I thought it would be better if there was a little more whipped cream.

Harukoma Bakery in Obihiro, a bakery that caught my attention. Among them, I was particularly interested in this one! Real Melon Pan for 378 yen. I take a lot of photos from every angle. It feels like the first grandchild. The owner is in love with the melons produced by Ueda Orchard in Furano. They are sweet, juicy, and incredibly delicious! Three large slices of melon are generously placed on top. The almond cream, fresh cream, and custard cream mixed together have a perfect sweetness, with the melon sandwiched in between. The cream's moisture seems to seep into the bread, creating a sweet and moist texture as if it were coated with honey. They want to deliver it fresh because if it's made in advance, the moisture from the melon will make the whole thing soggy. This time, they filled the cream after ordering, cut the melon, and placed it on top, in the best condition. The appearance also reflects the melon realistically. The crispy texture is nice! If I were to be critical... it's too big and hard to eat! The owner also mentioned that. The Real Melon Pan, a combination of bread, cream, and melon, is incredibly delicious!
Gubutto Sandwich (Burdock Salad) for 259 yen. The pocket-shaped pita bread contains crunchy burdock seasoned with sesame sauce, a reliable delicious bread. The outer dough leaves a light crispy texture and a fragrant taste, matching well with the sesame sauce. The acidity of the tomato is also a good accent. The lunch menu offers a great deal with a sandwich of prosciutto and salmon that comes with a drink! It's quite a large size, and I'm satisfied. I want to visit this place again and again! Oh, I want to eat the Real Melon Pan again! Please try it for yourself!

I visited Harukoma Bakery's new store for the first time (after about 7 years of not visiting). The space was clean and the slightly small bread was neatly displayed. It was nice to see there was an eat-in space to enjoy the bread purchased. After browsing the store, I chose Cheese French (173 yen), Mentaiko Butter Toast (108 yen), and Melon Pan (130 yen) to eat at home.
- Cheese French: Plenty of cheese was used inside and outside the French bread. The outside was crispy while the inside was moist and soft.
- Mentaiko Butter Toast: A baguette generously spread with mentaiko sauce, the baguette was very crispy when eaten.
- Melon Pan: The cookie dough was not wrapped around the whole bread, but placed on top. The dough was lightly sweetened and easy to eat, while the bread was moist and very soft.
Overall, my memory from 7 years ago was that the portions were larger and the prices were higher, but now the prices have become more affordable, although the overall size has become smaller (you can try various types of bread). The French bread is delicious, so it's worth trying at least once.

I had been wanting to visit this place for a long time, and finally made it there. I arrived close to 1 o'clock. They had a wide variety of breads available, including some hard ones which was nice. There were sections for sweet breads, new products, and popular items, all cleverly arranged. I bought the Chestnut and Walnut Danish for 240 yen, and the Teambonbetsu French Bread for 120 yen. The Chestnut and Walnut Danish was delicious with the sweet chestnuts and the nuts underneath. The Danish itself was not too heavy and very tasty. The Teambonbetsu French Bread is made with local wheat and has an authentic taste. It has a nice texture and is very delicious. The bread here was even better than I imagined! I want to try more varieties next time. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal!

When you come to Obihiro, it's all about bread, right? That's what I've been saying about various things, but today I went to "Harukoma Bakery" as written in my notes. I was taken there by navigation. It's in the direction where I was looking for a ramen shop earlier. How many times do I pass by here in a day? (sweat) When I arrived, the shop was completely different from what I had imagined, very clean and stylish. Just the name "Harukoma" gave me an old-fashioned image. Well, it's like imagining an old man just because of the name "Yosaku." Was there a point to that conversation? When I tried to enter the shop, I saw that the door handle was a French bread... How cute! Inside the shop, there were quite a variety of breads. The first thing that caught my eye was the "Bean Bread" for 100 yen. It's irresistible... One! I just put it on the tray without any conditions. "Wait a minute," I was called, so I went to see. By the way, my wife is not a fat twin. It's a "Rusk." "Garlic Butter Rusk" and "Dried Fruit and Walnut Rusk" both caught my attention, so I ended up putting both on the tray. By the way, what was the reason for calling me? Lastly, there's the "Coupe" made with "Hokkaido scent" wheat. The staff were all nice. My wife said the "Rusk" was delicious, but I didn't think it was anything special. More importantly, the "Coupe" is delicious. It's crispy on the outside and quite fluffy on the inside. It didn't look like it, but it's chewy. There are small ones too, but I ate them all on the same day. What a shame. The disappointing one was the beloved "Bean Bread." I like my bread moist and chewy, but these were weak. They were undercooked. What a shame. The "Curry Bread," on the other hand, was delicious. It's spicy, the bread is chewy, and there are no potatoes in it. A very delicious curry bread. I don't know how to evaluate this bakery. It's confusing.

Arrived at 2:30 pm. The shop is housed in a cute building with a cozy atmosphere inside. Overall, the bread was small in size and priced equally. Salted butter bread -> Small bread. The butter flavor was noticeable as indicated. The saltiness was just right. The outside was firm, while the inside was elastic. A bread that gets more enjoyable the more you chew. Table roll -> Neither good nor bad. A simple bread that looks delicious when dipped in honey butter. Anpan -> Filled with shaped Tokachi butter. The saltiness was subtle, and the sweetness of the red bean paste spreads in your mouth first, followed by the gently melting butter. My husband preferred this over cream bread. Cream bread -> As stated, it used white eggs, so the custard inside was white. It was small, sweet but with a gentle sweetness. The staff had a kind demeanor, and I felt that the bread shop exuded kindness.

Before the relocation, there was a bakery along Harukoma Street, and six years ago, the shop moved to its current location. When you enter the shop, the owner and staff greet you with a warm welcome. Various types of bread are displayed all around. I purchased "Chestnut and Walnut Danish for 240 yen" and "Apple Danish for 240 yen" and enjoyed them at home with wine. Oh, these were delicious! The crispy texture of the bread combined with the acidity of the apple and the sweetness of chestnut and walnut created a wonderful harmony. They are looking forward to a stable supply of 100% Hokkaido-grown wheat now, and in the future, they hope to use wheat from Tokachi for their bread. It was a bakery where you could feel the passionate dedication of the owner. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I happened to see this place while searching for nearby restaurants and decided to visit because it had high ratings. The shop was cute and had a variety of unique bread that got me excited. I always buy salt bread when I go to a bakery, I'm a salt bread fan, and here they had three types of salt bread! Regular salt bread, cheese-filled salt bread, and chocolate salt bread, all of them were delicious. The cheese-filled salt bread was something new for me, but the combination of cheese and salt was perfect. I was surprised by the chocolate salt bread! I wasn't sure how it would taste, but the sweetness and saltiness were a nice match. This was my first time trying the chocolate salt bread here! I recommend it to all salt bread lovers. The pumpkin bread caught my eye with its beautiful yellow color! The subtly sweet taste was delicious. I definitely want to go back for more salt bread next time! Thank you for the meal!

Memories of visiting Obihiro. I used to live nearby, so I checked my old house before coming here. Huh? The shop is gone. I quickly searched and found out they have relocated to this current location. When they first opened, they were located on Harukoma Street and mainly focused on hard bread. The owner said in a local newspaper, "Obihiro's water and wheat turn into this baguette." Obihiro really is a town with delicious water. The baguettes, including sesame and basil flavors, were excellent. When I visited again, they had moved for the second time and seemed to be putting more effort into their sandwich selection. This time, it's their third move to a residential area off Harukoma Street. When I asked the staff, they said it's been three years since they moved. I hadn't been to Obihiro that much. The variety of baguettes seemed to have decreased, but they had a good selection of bagels and sandwiches. A memory of a delicious baguette shop in Obihiro. I hope they continue for a long time. I wish they would expand their selection of baguettes.

The shop is located in a residential area a little away from the forests of Obihiro, but it is a distinctive building, so it is very easy to find. This time, I purchased the following two items:
- Makana Sandwich Special Grade Ogura Anpan
Taste Rating: ●●●○○
Price: 280 yen
A combination of bacon sandwich and egg sandwich. It is a good value for the amount, and I always buy it at this shop. The sandwich bread is a baguette with a strong crust and a soft crumb. However, it doesn't have a particularly distinctive flavor. It is relatively light in taste despite having plenty of fillings. It may be enough for a meal with just this one sandwich.
- Special Grade Ogura Anpan
Taste Rating: ●●●○○
A relatively small anpan. The red bean paste inside is not too much, and the sweetness is moderate. It lacks a bit of the distinctive flavor and presence that you would expect from Tokachi. Like other shops in Tokachi, this shop also actively uses locally grown wheat, focusing on hard bread and side dish bread. However, if they want to promote the use of locally grown wheat, it would be nice to see more effort put into using better quality ingredients even if the price is a bit higher. I hope they continue to strive for improvement. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Harukoma Bakery to buy lunch and bread for the next day. I had been there a few times when they were in their old location, but this time they had moved to a new store and I discovered that you can also eat pasta in their eat-in space. Without looking closely at the menu next to the register, my lunch companion and I ordered two lunch sets (525 yen each, tax included) from 10am to 2pm. While waiting in the eat-in space, we were served two sandwiches - one was a salmon sandwich and the other was a pastrami beef sandwich. The bread had a nice aroma and good texture. The salmon sandwich had a homemade mayo-like sauce that paired well with it. The coffee we ordered was just average. As we were eating, we noticed another group of customers had a different item under their lunch set - a short cheese pasta for 525 yen with bread. We decided to order a single portion of the pasta for 420 yen and shared it. The short pasta was rigatoni, and the cream sauce was light and not too rich, perfect for sharing between two people. The pasta was cooked a bit soft. Overall, I would recommend the lunch set with sandwiches over the pasta. The next day, I tried the bread I bought - a ham roll with plenty of Memuro corn and mayo, a German stick made with croissant dough and a rich mayo-like flavor, a gobo salad and bacon French bread perfect for women, and a luxurious Danish pastry with figs in wine that was very sweet. The variety of deli-style breads at Harukoma Bakery is extensive and reasonably priced, making it a great choice for lunch. The bread is also delicious for breakfast. The scent of the bread filled the car on the way home. Thank you for the meal!
