I went to Bouzuyama for the first time! It's located in Nakuri, Kamo-gun, along National Route 274. There were quite a few cars around 1:30pm, with many from Kushiro for some reason. It seems like the husband cooks and the wife takes orders. There were 6 customers ahead of me, so I knew I would have to wait. Finally, the wife came and I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 650 yen. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. The ramen was salty with a good dashi flavor. The noodles were quite soft, maybe because they were cooked for a long time. The toppings included chashu, menma, naruto, fu, negi, and nori. The fu didn't soak up the broth well, so I ate it as is. The price was just right for what you get. There is no restroom inside, it's located outside. Thank you Bouzuyama for the meal!

Today, I went to Bouzu Mountain for work in Katsuo, for the first time in over ten years. I called ahead to make sure they were open and arrived at 11:10. There was already one group of two customers there. Since there are few dining options nearby and plenty of parking, customers kept coming in one after another. By the time I finished eating, the place was almost full. The exterior of the restaurant is quite eye-catching. Inside, there is a counter, six sunken table seats, and three regular table seats. I ordered the Rich Miso Bara Ramen for 1,000 yen (tax included). It arrived in about 15 minutes. The toppings included pork belly chashu, menma, green onions, wakame seaweed, and nori. The garlic flavor was strong, and the broth was rich with plenty of lard. The braised pork belly pieces were plentiful. The soup was tonkotsu-based with a nice richness and a hint of spiciness. It was delicious. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, a bit on the softer side. The garlic gave me a boost of energy. I ate it with sweat dripping down my face. Thank you for the meal.

I love the curly noodles cooked al dente, they were springy just the way I like it! I want to go back again and also try the pork bowl.

I visited the restaurant "Bouzu Yama" in Shikaoicho. It is located in a remote area from the town center, towards Shihocho. The parking lot is spacious and can accommodate large vehicles, although it is not paved. The exterior of the restaurant has a somewhat strange atmosphere. Upon entering the dimly lit restaurant, the owners greeted me with little energy. I chose the "Toro Char Siu Miso Ramen" from the menu posted on the wall. Although I was also interested in the popular local dish "Butadon," I decided to try the ramen. The "Toro Char Siu Miso Ramen" arrived and looked quite ordinary. I tried the char siu, but it was thin and not the expected tender type. It was disappointing considering the price of 950 yen. The noodles were short, medium-sized, curly noodles, and the soup tasted like a certain brand's miso soup. Overall, it was a mediocre experience.

He insisted on going, so I visited the restaurant. It is located between Shihoro and Kushiro. There is only one shop in the area. The shop has 2 tables and 6 counter seats. He ordered Negi Miso Ramen, and I ordered Miso Ramen. We had to wait a bit because the shop was almost full. The ramen arrived almost at the same time. His Negi Ramen was spicy with sesame oil and chili oil. My Miso Ramen was lightly seasoned. It contained 1 slice of chashu, green onions, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. If you want a stronger flavor, you should order the rich miso. There are 3 types of chashu available: regular, pork belly, and fatty pork chashu. You can choose according to your preference. His rating was higher than I expected, and he was very satisfied and full.

There is a straight road that leads from Kushiro Town to Lake Shikaribetsu, passing through Kamishihoro. After driving a few kilometers on this road, you will see a shop on the left side. The parking lot is spacious, and when I visited, there was a large trailer parked there. As I entered the shop, I saw several salarymen leaving, which raised my expectations. I ordered miso ramen, while my mother ordered negi shio ramen. I took a sip of the soup first. At first, I thought it was delicious, but it was a bit light, leaving me feeling somewhat unsatisfied. The saltiness of the ramen was a bit strong. The noodles were made by Sapporo Nishiyama Seimen and were medium-thick curly noodles. I personally think they could be a bit thicker. However, considering the current prices where ramen typically costs around 700 yen per bowl, being able to eat ramen for 600 yen is a good deal. It would be appreciated if they offered set menus. I would like to try the rich miso ramen next time.
