Visited on December 29, 2022! Daily special set meal (chicken cutlet) with soba (hot) set for 830 yen. The restaurant has a cafeteria-like atmosphere, and the soba is hand-made in a soba-making room, giving it a texture similar to fresh noodles. It's best to try cold soba to truly appreciate it.

I visited this restaurant located in a corner of an industrial park in Ebetsu City for lunch. The atmosphere was like a cafeteria for working people. The menu was extensive, ranging from soba and udon to set meals, curry, and ramen. I was indecisive about what to order, so I chose the daily lunch special "Half Ramen Set with Pork Miso Flavor Grilled Pork." For the ramen in the set, I opted for miso flavor as Sapporo is known for its miso ramen. The pork miso flavor grilled pork was rich in miso taste, not too salty, and went well with rice as a side dish. The pork was tender and very delicious. The miso ramen had thick noodles and a rich, flavorful soup. Although it's not a specialty shop, it truly tasted like authentic miso ramen from the miso capital. The slightly chewy thick noodles perfectly complemented the soup, making it very tasty. The portion was quite generous with extra rice, and I left feeling satisfied. A delicious set meal. Thank you for the meal.

Today is the last day of my two-day weekend! After a busy schedule yesterday, today I am taking it easy. I woke up at 5 a.m., checked out reviews on Tabelog, and had breakfast at my usual "Maido Ookini Shokudo." I went to the bank, bought the requested items for next week at the home center for my grandma, and then spent some time in the disaster prevention corner. I ended up buying a radio with a flashlight and a charger for my phone, even though it runs on batteries. I should have just used the USB in my car, but oh well. For lunch, we decided to go to a ramen shop on Sanban Street in Ebetsu. However, we ended up at a different place because my wife thought we had been there before. So, we found another place near my workplace that we hadn't visited yet. The staff there were young and energetic, and the place was clean and welcoming. I ordered the pork with sesame miso for 650 yen, while my wife got the tanuki soba. The food was delicious, especially the pork dish with the locally sourced ingredients. The cabbage was crunchy and fresh, and the half ramen was really tasty, with old-school vibes. The noodles were from Kikusui. Overall, the service and atmosphere blended well, making the dining experience enjoyable.

Why is there a cafeteria in such a place? In the industrial park where people from Ebetsu do not live... A shop found by chance. The ramen sign was fluttering in the wind, as if inviting us to come. But Myrebi-san and the others, I can't believe we came all the way here (sweat) Only people working in this area come here (laughs). As soon as we entered, our eyes were drawn to a poster boasting the large amount of noodles in the cold noodles. There was no hesitation in front of the ticket machine about what to choose. A self-service cafeteria. When our number was called and we were asked if we needed mustard, we said we wanted a lot of sauce. They gave us a lot, but it was just enough (laughs). It seems like they really used two servings of noodles. But, 850 yen for this? Maybe it would have been better to go for the daily set meal with soba? (laughs)

This shop is located in Ebetsu City, Hokkaido. I fully support the restaurant industry. It is in a very inconspicuous place off the side road from Kakuyama on National Route 275. With so few people passing by, I wondered if the shop really existed...? Finally, I found it! It is not related to the chain restaurant "〇※ Shokudo". It seems like a company cafeteria. I ordered a large serving of pork cutlet curry from the ticket machine! The waitress was friendly and nice! I went near closing time, but they quickly cooked and fried the cutlet. When it arrived, it was a large serving with a generous portion, and the hot cutlet was delicious. The curry had a homey taste and lacked a sharp spiciness. I noticed halfway through that they seem to be making soba noodles in the shop. Since it was near closing time, I couldn't see it, but I think it's rare to find hand-made soba noodles in a shop like a company cafeteria.

I recently discovered a cafeteria that is popular among nearby office workers. It's like a hidden gem. I will definitely use it again!

Lunchtime visit. On this day, as usual, I accompanied Papa on his sake shopping trip. But before that, we decided to have lunch at a restaurant that Papa had been curious about. It was said to be the only dining place in an area filled with factories. That piqued our interest... We drove there in Papa's car, with lots of trucks on the road. My favorite working vehicles! After turning onto a side street, we found it! The parking lot was quite spacious, making parking easy. A staff member was putting up a sign to announce the opening. We climbed the stairs and entered the restaurant, where tables filled the single floor. First, we prepared our meal tickets. Based on Papa's pre-information, I had already decided on the "cold soba with tempura flakes." Papa, on the other hand, wanted to check the daily set menu before making a choice. First, I encouraged my soba choice. Papa, what about today's set menu? "Hmm, how about the 'spicy miso-grilled pork belly and vegetables'? It really whets the appetite," he said. And he also chose the mini ramen with the ramen check. We handed our meal tickets to the staff, who gave us a yellow plate. We were the first customers of the day, so our number was "1"! While waiting for our food, Papa and I chatted. How have you been lately? Busy? "Yeah... very busy," he said. Are you eating lunch properly? "It's quite difficult. Usually leftovers or bentos," he said. "How about TOMO-P?" I always go for seconds! Papa laughed. Soon, the number one call came! Papa brought my "cold soba with tempura flakes" first. It's a large bowl! Oh, I spotted a green dangerous object. Papa removed it for me. Now I can eat in peace. Let's dig in! It's delicious! Papa mentioned, "You know, I saw a room dedicated to making soba earlier." Really! "I think they must be making it fresh every day," he said. The soba was indeed the perfect thickness for my liking. The broth was a bit strong, but I kept slurping it up. How about Papa's pork? "It goes so well with rice. The ramen is not for TOMO-P," he said. "Which toppings do you want?" All of them! Papa's ramen quickly turned into a spicy ramen. More and more customers started coming in. Our yellow plate quickly turned into number 30! Amazing! Everyone was being served the daily set menu with soba on the side. Papa mentioned that adding this soba for an extra 100 yen was a great deal. So, our sake shopping trips just got more exciting. Ebe is quite interesting, after all.

This is a place located near the industrial park in Ebetsu city, at the foot of Kakuyama. If you are unfamiliar with the area, it is best to check the map on Tabelog for more details. I originally planned to visit a soba restaurant in Ebetsu, but to my surprise, it was closed. So, I searched on Tabelog and found this place, which I had never been to before. I parked my car in the front parking lot and entered the restaurant. I first looked at the menu on the ticket machine, planning to order soba, but then I saw they had "Salt Ramen" so I changed my order. I pressed the button for "Salt Ramen," received the ticket, handed it to the staff at the order counter, received a number tag, and waited at a table for my order to be called. After about 7-8 minutes, my number was called and I received my "Salt Ramen." I started by tasting the soup, which had a salty taste typical of commercial soups. The noodles were medium-thick, slightly curly, yellow Sapporo noodles commonly used in many eateries. The toppings included one slice of chashu, menma, boiled spinach, naruto, shredded seaweed, and chopped green onions, which were substantial for the price. Although I didn't try it this time, it's worth noting that during lunchtime, they offer a free half serving of rice with noodle dishes. The customers at the restaurant were mostly factory workers and drivers, and the prices were relatively reasonable. It's a dining establishment that has firmly established itself in the area.

I use this Seicomart nearby when it's really crowded. On this day, I had soy sauce ramen for 550 yen, added an extra slice of chashu for 50 yen, and got a free half portion of rice thanks to the lunch service. The ramen wasn't too salty, had a nice flavor, and was easy on the stomach. It's like cafeteria food. The popular menu items seem to change frequently. The customers are mostly men, with a lot of older people ordering set meals. Last time I was here, I had the katsudon. If you want a more filling meal, I recommend the katsudon over the ramen. The miso soup with the katsudon costs 600 yen.

Today I went by bike again. I rode on the national highway for 1 hour and 40 minutes, but didn't pass a single bike (excluding postal delivery). Ah, how lonely (laughs). I entered at 1:36 PM in the middle of an industrial area in Ebetsu. There were previous customers, 3 groups totaling 7 people, all wearing work clothes. I stood out in my rider's jacket (laughs). The inside of the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. It's completely self-service. First, I bought a pork cutlet curry ticket from the ticket machine. When I handed the ticket to the counter, they gave me a yellow number tag. When my number was called, I went to pick it up and ate. The kitchen is run by one man and three women. The curry sauce is homemade and has a unique taste, but it feels like something is missing. However, it's delicious and has a huge portion. It feels like a lunch for hard work in the afternoon, like being on a farm (laughs). Fancy restaurants are nice, but I feel more at ease in places like this. I am a fine worker (laughs).

I went to the Ebetsu area for work. The visit was to a place that seemed like an industrial park with only factories and no residential areas. The person I was visiting suggested going for lunch nearby, so we went to Kakuyama Shokudo in the Ebetsu area (Takasago Station). Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that everyone was wearing work clothes. It was a bit out of place for me in my suit among all the older gentlemen. The menu mainly consisted of noodles (udon, soba, ramen), rice bowls, curry, all priced around 500-700 yen, and a value set menu of the day priced at 550 yen. Unfortunately, the value set menu was already sold out by the time I arrived. I decided to go for the Pork Cutlet Curry priced at 780 yen, purchased through the ticket machine. The food was served in about 10 minutes. The portion size was good, and the curry had chunks of potatoes and carrots, giving it a nice touch. The pork cutlet had a fine bread crumb coating, was thin at 7mm, and was perfectly cooked. The overall taste of the curry was moderate in spiciness, and it was satisfying. During lunchtime, the turnover rate was high, with the restaurant being about 80% full when I visited. The customers were all in work clothes, coming from nearby areas to quickly eat and leave. It seems like the restaurant caters to the lunch needs of the surrounding industrial park. It was a pleasant meal.

Ebisubetsu, Koeicho in Ebetsu City is an industrial area with factories and warehouses. In this area, there is a cafeteria called "Kakuyama Shokudo" that serves as a kind of employee cafeteria for the workers in the area. It also welcomes general customers. They offer soba noodles, rice bowls, set meals, etc. starting from 500 yen. The soba noodles are made with locally sourced buckwheat flour that is stored in ice and hand-cut in a dedicated room next to the seating area. The soba noodles are served cold with a crispy texture. They have a slightly soft but chewy texture, with a good amount of flavor. The dipping sauce is on the spicier side and the soba broth is clear. While this may not be a place you specifically seek out for authentic soba, it is a cafeteria where you can eat a satisfying meal at a reasonable price, and the authentic soba noodles they offer are sure to please the regular customers in the area.

This was my 52nd visit in 2016. This time, my wife and I visited the restaurant. We planned to buy shako at Atsuta Fishing Port and have lunch at a famous sushi restaurant, but it was already crowded with a line of about 30 people an hour before opening... We gave up. On the way back to Atsubetsu from Route 275, I remembered Kakuyama Shokudo and visited for the first time in 5 years. I remembered that the soba was delicious, so I searched for the place, but still got lost. It was around 1 pm, so it wasn't too crowded. Looking at my previous post, I wrote, "It would be nice if there were set menus...," but there it was! Without hesitation, I ordered the lunch set "Japanese-style Gyudon & Soba Set" for 650 yen. My wife had grated soba. The Japanese-style gyudon had a sweet taste, and I chose cold soba, but the portion was a bit small. However, the gyudon had more than enough quantity, so I was full. My wife also enjoyed the soba. I will visit again when I remember.

Around 12:30 in the afternoon, I visited this place alone. It was just after the lunch rush. There were customers arriving in dump trucks, but the parking lot was spacious so it was no problem. I ordered the zaru soba. The slightly thick soba noodles had a strong aroma of buckwheat. It took a bit longer to cook, but the noodles were delicious with a firm texture. The soba broth was also quite tasty with a strong bonito flavor. There was "kaeshi" in the soy sauce dispenser on the table, with a note saying "if you find the broth too sweet, you can use this to adjust to your liking," but I didn't use it this time. I also had a small serving of complimentary rice with takuan, which was a nice touch. Thank you for the meal. Revisited on March 19, 2011. Today, I tried the oyakodon, the cheapest item on the menu at 400 yen. It's like a chicken and egg rice bowl without the chicken, with ingredients like onions, shiitake mushrooms, and kamaboko. The sprinkled nori on top added a nice touch. The portion of rice was generous and filled me up. Thank you for the meal.

Yesterday, I was taken to a restaurant by a friend near the USS venue (which car enthusiasts might be familiar with). The interior of the restaurant is relatively simple, focusing on cost-cutting. It's not really a place for a date... Orders are placed using a ticket system, completely self-service, like a school cafeteria! You can choose between a regular or large serving for the rice bowl dishes, which is nice. The donburi dishes are determined by the texture of the eggs and the taste of the sauce. I ordered the large serving of oyakodon (with soba instead of rice) and when my order number was called, I went to pick it up, just like in a school cafeteria. The wait time is like taking a quick smoke break before your number is called. The soba was delicious. Next, the main dish, the oyakodon, was also incredibly tasty, with perfect egg texture and sauce flavor. Even the regular serving is quite generous in portion size and wallet-friendly. I thought about trying the noodles next time. It's recommended for those who want to get a full stomach for a small price!

I had the zarusoba for 500 yen. It was like a student cafeteria type of place, so I didn't have high expectations for the taste. However, the soba at this place was surprisingly good. It was hand-made soba that was carefully prepared. There was even a dedicated soba-making room next to the seating area. I didn't expect to find such quality soba in this kind of place. The noodles were on the thicker side, but they were smooth and delicious. They also served soba-yu with a nice flavor. It's hard to find good soba places in Ebetsu, like the one inside a certain sports park. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes I pass by Tsuganikaidori. When I saw the sign for the cafeteria, I thought, "Is this a joke?" (I'm sorry). Later, it seemed to have officially opened, as there are many cars parked there during lunchtime. Out of curiosity, I ended up going. I bought a ticket for my favorite katsudon. After waiting for 5 minutes, I came face to face with the katsudon. It had the thickest cutlet I had ever seen, piled high in a large bowl that you couldn't even see the rice underneath. I don't remember much after that because I was completely absorbed in my battle with the katsudon. It was a formidable opponent. The homemade pickles added excitement to the battle. Phew, it was delicious. I was completely full. I sat back, watching the big TV, basking in the satisfaction. And all this for only 550 yen. Without a doubt, I'm likely to go back again. However, I'll try to go at a different time since it seems to get crowded from 12:00 to 12:30 due to the lunch break at the industrial park. Today, there were even people who had to give up and go home because it was full.

Located on the outskirts of Ebetsu Industrial Park, this hidden gem is a must-visit if you're in the area. The location may not be the best, but the soba noodles are hand-made daily right next to the seating area. The warm and cold soba noodles have different thicknesses, with a strong and thick texture. Both zaru soba and kake soba are priced at 500 yen. The ramen is your typical safe option, but the chashu is delicious. They also offer miso, shoyu, and salt ramen for 500 yen each. For those who want a little extra, they provide a small rice serving as a lunchtime special. The highlight is definitely the katsudon for 550 yen, which is incredibly filling. Highly recommended for those looking for a hearty meal.
