On November 2, 2020, at 13:20, my wife, my child, my grandmother, and I visited for lunch. We took off our shoes at the entrance and entered, feeling like we were visiting someone's home. The view from the dining room was amazing! It was my hometown, Furano. In front of us spread the Furano Basin and Mt. Furano. It was such a wonderful view. We ordered Carbonara (chosen by the child), Pork Green Pepper Steak (chosen by the grandmother), and Chicken Cacciatore (chosen by my wife), and shared them among the four of us. Everything was very delicious. Firstly, Furano is known for its delicious pork. It is tender and the richness of the fat is completely different from others. It's made with the famous Kamifurano Pork, and you can see the effort put into it since my childhood. Also, the dessert here is definitely the best in Furano. When you visit here, you must try the Tiramisu. It uses Mascarpone from Betsukai Town, and after just one bite, even my wife was impressed! I have never had such delicious Tiramisu before. The cheese is rich and has a strong presence in the mouth. It's fresh and the cost performance is incredible at 390 yen! This is definitely a one-of-a-kind dessert. I forgot to take a picture... Honestly, I think highly-rated dessert places in Furano are usually based on tourist standards, so as a local, I was disappointed. However, I can confidently recommend this dessert place to the people around me. The atmosphere and taste are great, and I have high expectations for heavy use when I visit my hometown. I found a really good restaurant. I will definitely take pictures next time (laughs). Thank you for the meal! We will come again!

The meal was Italian, and I chose the Genovese pasta, which had a rich flavor and a refreshing basil aroma. The fish was salmon, a rare treat available only at this time of year, as the chef explained to us personally. The chicken was also delicious, with gentle flavors that were satisfying. There was no spiciness, so even children could enjoy it. The wine was also excellent. The pension was wheelchair accessible and filled with hospitality. I would love to visit again.

Lunch at La Collina in Nakafurano on December 15, 2013 - La Collina, a pension and restaurant in Nakafurano, offers a beautiful view of Tokachi-dake. I heard that the food is delicious, so I decided to visit. They serve lunch using Hokkaido ingredients from 11:30 am to 3 pm (last order at 2:30 pm), and they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I had the Green Pepper Steak made with pork from Kamifurano. It came as a one-plate dish with salad and coffee after the meal. Instead of rice, they serve fresh pasta, which is great for pasta lovers like me. The sauce is rich with a hint of green pepper spiciness. The pasta is chewy and seems quite filling. I opted for the pasta lunch, which came with salad and coffee. It was a chicken and burdock pasta based on peperoncino. The fresh pasta was chewy and very satisfying! The combination of chicken and burdock worked well in the pasta. The colorful salad was a nice touch, especially with the high vegetable prices in this season. The pasta lunch ranges from 840 yen, and the one-plate lunch starts from 1050 yen, making it affordable. They also offer a tempting winter-exclusive beef shank curry. Additionally, they sell homemade bread on weekends. Despite the cloudy weather today, I would love to visit again on a clear day to enjoy the mountain view. Thank you for reading until the end! Pension & Italian restaurant located in Nakafurano town. I stayed here during my trip to Furano & Biei. The place is located on a hill west of JR Kaito station. This facility can be used for dining only as an Italian restaurant for lunch or dinner, or for accommodation as a pension. However, during the busy summer season (July-August), dinner-only reservations are not accepted, and lunch may also be closed on weekends in addition to Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I stayed for one night with two meals, so I didn't need to drive and enjoyed my meal with beer and wine. Dinner consisted of appetizer + pasta + fish dish + meat dish + dessert + coffee or tea. For pasta, you can choose between Genovese or Amatriciana. The appetizer was "natural Matsukawa carpaccio". Matsukawa is a type of flounder caught in the northern sea, similar to sea bream, with a moderate texture and sweetness, lightly seasoned with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was a refreshing and good appetizer. Homemade focaccia bread was decent with a simple taste. The Genovese pasta was made with freshly picked local basil from Nakafurano, with a strong aroma and pine nuts, making it the perfect sauce. The pasta could have been a bit firmer, but overall, it was good. The Amatriciana was not as good, lacking in tomato acidity and richness, tasting more like Japanese spaghetti. I highly recommend the Genovese. The fish dish was "grilled young salmon with ricotta cheese", with tender and juicy salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The meat dish was "grilled pork loin with rosemary flavor", with tender pork, sweet fat, and a delicious sauce with chickpeas, celery, carrots, and garlic. The dessert was a "Melty" made with rare melon from Nakafurano, with a rich aroma, intense sweetness, and a refreshing aftertaste. Breakfast included homemade bread, omelets, ham, and vegetables. Overall, the accommodation was comfortable with clean and well-maintained facilities, making it a good place to stay and enjoy delicious meals. It is also recommended for those who simply want to dine at the Italian restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Today's accommodation is RacoLina. It was my wife Kero's choice because the Italian food here is delicious. We ordered a full bottle of local Furano white wine to start our Italian dining experience. The salad made with local vegetables and snap peas has a nice crunchy texture! The shaved cheese adds a nice accent. They served homemade bread. Oh, the outside is crispy while the inside is soft and chewy. It's the best bread I've had recently. We even asked for freshly baked bread for tomorrow morning! The pasta with Genovese sauce has a great texture and the basil is a nice balance. The blue fish cauliflower sauce is made with local Rausu blue fish, and the crispy skin and sweet flesh are delicious. The sautéed chicken thigh oozes meat juice with every bite. It's so satisfying. For dessert, we had local melon. We were told it was grown in a nearby farm, and we even got some to take home. The owner and chef moved here from Tokyo, and if we were closer, we would definitely become regulars at this restaurant. It's great that we can just go to sleep after such a wonderful meal at this pension.

I felt like traveling to Furano, so I searched for accommodation online, but I could only find tourist inns and hotels. I had stayed at a pension a few times about 20 years ago. I wasn't expecting fancy meals as I had used it for things like training camps, so I was a little worried about the food at this pension. However, the kitchen is lively like a French restaurant. The basil pasta is even more delicious than high-end restaurants in Tokyo. The fish dishes are also of good quality. This may vary depending on the day. It was much more satisfying than the slightly upscale hotel near Lake Shikotsu the day before. Not only in Hokkaido, but it seems that the proportion of Asian guests, such as Chinese people, is increasing in tourist hotels. I often feel, "I hope this doesn't give a bad impression of Japan by providing such things." This pension does not have the luxury feel of such refined hotels, but it is clean to the minimum necessary level and is recommended for those traveling to Furano.

Oh, it was so delicious! The Italian full course dinner was amazing. It started with a gentle tasting appetizer, a salad with plenty of Furano vegetables, freshly baked bread and soup, clam pasta, and then the main fish dish which was super delicious. After that, there was meat and dessert. The portions were a bit large, and I couldn't sleep well at night because I was so full. The pension itself was new and very clean with barrier-free facilities. The owner and staff were friendly and kindly explained how to enjoy Furano and Biei. When I hear that family, friends, or relatives are traveling to Furano, I will definitely recommend this place.

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday. I gave her a Mascarpone cheese souffle cake from La Collina in Furano, which she had previously requested. She sent me a photo right away saying how delicious it is. I'm glad she's happy, it makes me happy too. The cake may not be fancy, but it's very delicious, just like you shining even without makeup. It costs 3,500 yen and has a substantial weight. Since it is chilled delivery, there is an additional 1,500 yen for shipping. The lineup of cakes made with carefully selected fresh Mascarpone from Bekai-cho is all unique and delicious. I hope many people get to taste it. Happy birthday, my wife.

On May 2, 2021, at 1:00 PM, I revisited the restaurant for the second time to get the unforgettable Mascarpone Tiramisu that I had last time. I had decided that whenever I returned to Furano, I would definitely visit this restaurant. As usual, I called out "Excuse me" at the entrance that looked like a personal residence. A lady who seemed like a hall staff member came out from the back. "We don't have a reservation, but can we get the Mascarpone Tiramisu for takeout?" "Please wait a moment," she said, as she went to check in the kitchen. After a while, a man who seemed like the owner/chef came over. "We have a frozen one for online orders if that's okay with you." Yes! Of course, I immediately made the purchase. The price was 1,700 yen. They recommended letting it thaw in the refrigerator for 2 hours before eating for the best taste. I enjoyed it with my children at our home in Sapporo. Everyone devoured it instantly (laughs). This creamy texture is irresistible, and the rich Mascarpone is amazing. Tiramisu can be this delicious! My wife also gave it a thumbs up, saying, "Wow, this is delicious." Even our youngest and second son widened their eyes and exclaimed, "So tasty!" That's right, that's right. This Mascarpone Tiramisu is uniquely delicious. It seems like my wife has become a fan of this taste because she requested, "For my next birthday, please buy the Mascarpone Souffle from this restaurant." Alright! As a husband, I will make sure to fulfill this request perfectly. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
