The cream is hidden, giving a modest impression. Plain is brown. Plain doesn't give that impression, right? The surface is hard, but the inside is moist. The sweetness is quite restrained, and it's more like a snack. Donuts are bread to me, but this kind of thing is more like a snack, I guess.
