Hosoya-san is a restaurant that opened in Morebetsu Village after 4 years. I happened to check it out in the local newspaper, but because it's far from my place, I didn't have the chance to visit until now. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean, not moody or anything like that. The menu has all the usual items and seems good for everyday dining. There are also recommended dishes available. I decided to try the recommended dishes this time. I had the autumn swordfish sashimi, scallop sashimi, garlic sand liver, horse sashimi, mapo tofu, and crab egg on top of cucumber sashimi as a side dish. The presentation with the cucumber was lovely. There was also a rare menu item called "Salted crab eggs," which I couldn't resist ordering. Before I knew it, I had eaten too much and ended up staying for a long time (laughs). I'm glad I came before the Harutaicho.
