In July 2022, at the Odaito station on the Michinoku Coastal Trail, there were delicious sweets from a confectionery shop in Betsukai Town, all of which have a rich buttery flavor. I did it again. No one has written anything yet, so I guess I'll be the first. It's a bit late, but I'm here in Betsukai alone. I realized that the distance between here and Kushiro is about the same. I thought maybe I should have just gone to Kushiro instead. I made a note of it, but things didn't go as planned. Even in the city, many stores are closing down, so it's not surprising that it's happening in the countryside too. When I find a store that's not on my list, it makes me happy. I saw a confectionery shop. I was hoping for daifuku, but it seems they mainly sell cakes. I ordered a crepe and a cheesecake. The crepe with fresh cream and strawberries was delicious. The strawberries had a slight tanginess and the cream was not too sweet, which was nice. The cheesecake was unexpectedly stylish and tasty. It was a proper cheesecake and very delicious.
