I always buy a cake on my way back from the hospital in Konoe. Today, I chose Kurao's cake. They were selling pumpkin pudding (I wonder if they have it all year round?). I also got the usual cream puff and Mont Blanc. They put them in a bag and it only cost me 2 yen. Such a reasonable price! The Mont Blanc here is not too sweet and easy to eat with a pie crust base. The pumpkin pudding has a gentle flavor, and the cream puff, although small, is filled with plenty of cream. It's been a while, but they also had a good selection of baked goods.

After work, I wanted to explore a new sweets shop and found this one through searching on Tabelog and nearby maps. I bought several pastries at this shop. I couldn't find a parking lot nearby, so it was a bit difficult to access, but I managed to park at a bank and walked to the shop. The interior of the shop was simple and small, with baked goods on the left, a showcase of cakes in front, and gift boxes on the right. The variety of baked goods was extensive, including sablés, meringue cookies, cookies, and galettes. I purchased cheese sticks, sablés, and galettes this time. The showcase also had a variety of unique-looking sweets, including the classic shortcake. I ordered and took home a Chevre Fromage, Polish Chocolate, and choux cream. On the way back in the car, I couldn't resist and had a bite of the choux cream... The choux cream was smaller than I expected from the showcase, but the custard cream was quite firm and had a strong egg flavor. It was a unique type of choux cream, but I personally really enjoyed it. It felt like eating a custard pudding. Delicious! The Chevre Fromage is a cheesecake made with various types of cheese, moist in texture, with low acidity and a predominant sweetness. It was not too cheesy, making it suitable even for those who don't like cheese much. The shop also has a website where you can carefully browse through the various pastries and cakes available. You can search based on your preferences, which is convenient. I will add more reviews on other pastries as I try them!

One weekend, when I started to worry about places other than Sapporo in Hokkaido, I happened to come across a cake shop near JR Kotoni Station that I had bookmarked. The parking lot was secured for one car at the back of the building, which was very helpful as it was empty due to the location. The shop had a typical size for a cake shop, with a small number of cakes displayed in the showcase, baked goods on the shelves, and a counter in the corner, possibly where you could eat cake before. From the menu that day, I picked a few items that caught my eye for my family. The Mont Blanc (415 yen) had a cream that was richer than average, with whipped cream inside and pie crust at the bottom, which my parents enjoyed. The Sweet Potato from Naruto Kintoki (285 yen) was simple yet had a delicious touch of a Western confectionery. The Eclair Chocolat (230 yen) had a not too sweet chocolate surface, classic choux pastry, and a well-balanced custard cream, making it a well-rounded treat for anyone. The Caramel Pudding (210 yen) was a surprise with its intense caramel sauce, almost overpowering the expected deliciousness of the pudding. Overall, the cakes were not bad, but they lacked a certain impact. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited Kurao-san. I came back because I had a delicious Shibust that I tried last year. They said they don't make it in the summer because it melts easily, so I came for a rematch in the fall. The Shibust was fluffy and the mousse was rich and flavorful. The apple soaked in syrup was juicy. The tart was just the right balance, not too heavy. Overall, Kurao-san's cakes tend to be on the sweeter side. The pumpkin pudding had more cream than pumpkin flavor, but if you like whipped cream, you might enjoy it. It looked shallow at the bottom, but it was rich and just right. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I stopped by the patisserie Kuraoaka in front of JR Kinugawa Station and bought some sweets. I originally planned to buy a cake, but the mille-feuille I was looking for was already sold out, so I decided to buy some cookies instead. I made my selection based on appearance alone, and ended up buying cheese sticks and flake cookies. The cheese sticks were crunchy as I had imagined, and I really liked the savory cheese flavor. I have my heart set on the mille-feuille, so I will definitely try again soon.

- Mille-feuille, 395 yen The crispy pastry is coated with caramel, making it quite hard to eat without making a mess! (laughs) But the taste is really delicious♪ The rich custard and sweet pastry complement each other well! The acidity of the strawberries adds a nice touch without making it too sweet♪ Thank you for the meal!

On my day off, I decided to buy a cake and headed to this place that I had been curious about for a while. It is located very close to JR Kotoni Station, and there is a parking lot at the back of the store, so I parked there and went inside. The showcase had a variety of cakes that looked delicious, from classic ones to original ones. I bought a cake that caught my eye and some cream puffs as souvenirs for my family. The Chocolat Bijou cake had chocolate mousse with cassis mousse and custard cream inside. The mousse was firm but melted in the mouth nicely, with a rich chocolate flavor complemented by the slight acidity of cassis. The addition of star anise provided a nice accent. The Mont Blanc had chestnut cream with a hint of liqueur, not overly sweet and easy to eat. It contained whipped cream inside and used a sponge placed in a pastry crust as the base, a unique type with a higher proportion of sponge to cream. The cream puffs were small but filled generously with custard cream, which was firm and not too sweet, making it easy to eat. The classic Mont Blanc had a unique twist to it, showcasing its individuality. There were other cakes that caught my eye, so I might try a different one next time. Thank you for the delicious treats!

I was craving for a snack, so I decided to visit this place that I had been curious about for a while. I got a cream puff here, which was smaller in size compared to Beard Papa's, but it was filled with plenty of cream inside. The cream was so fluffy and there was a generous amount of it in the puff. The cream puff had a nice texture, with the cream and the pastry blending perfectly together. It had a slightly fruity flavor, maybe due to some kind of liquor in the cream, which was a pleasant surprise. Personally, I found the level of sweetness just right. Even though I only bought one cream puff, they included a cold pack with my purchase, which was a nice touch. I felt grateful for that gesture.

I had been curious about this cake shop for a while. I bought the Sakura Mont Blanc and Sakura Roll Cake, which were both delicious with many cherry blossom-themed options available.

★This is my first time trying these pastries as they were a gift, so I don't know the official names of the products. The shop is located near Kotoni Station. The cream puff is a normal size with a generous amount of custard cream inside, which is moist and satisfying for those craving sugar. The eclair has a thick layer of chocolate on the outside and likely the same custard cream inside as the cream puff. Both pastries have a generous amount of cream inside, so eating both at once was a mistake for me as it exceeded my sugar intake limit!笑

A cake shop located near Kotonui Station in March 2014. There are many types of baked goods, and it's hard to decide when you enter the shop because everything looks so good. I was impressed by how carefully everything was made. The cakes look simple on the outside, but when you put a fork in, you can see layers of sponge and cream stacked beautifully. I accidentally packed the knife in my moving boxes, so I couldn't make a clean cut and see the beautiful layers. If they had seating inside, I feel like I would end up staying for a long time in the fashionable and calming atmosphere.

Near Kinugasa Station, I had always thought, "There's a cake shop in such a place!" but I wasn't sure if I could park my car, so I planned to buy something when walking. I visited around 5 pm on Sunday. I was worried that they might be sold out or have limited options, but there were quite a few cakes left, and I had trouble choosing. The prices are around 300 yen, which is reasonable, and the designs are cute. I like this kind of shop! The interior had small Christmas decorations, and although the shop is not big, it's a lovely cake shop. The taste was not too sweet but satisfying. There were no other customers, and it seemed like there were no staff present. The man who served me seemed to be the pastry chef himself. He was wearing a white chef's uniform with a slightly raspberry-colored stain, and I thought, "Wow, maybe he made this with all his heart." It made me happy! I'm curious about who makes the cakes because I love cakes. I want to try other cakes, so I plan to visit frequently. I don't know the name of the cake, but the apple charlotte in the back right of the photo is my favorite!

In November 2013, I visited Patisserie Kuraoka for the first time. I had lunch near JR Kotoni Station and then visited this shop. It is located in the Kotoni area of Nishi Ward, Sapporo, along the Tekko Danchi Street near JR Kotoni Station. The exact location can be confirmed on Tabelog. I visited around 2 p.m. on a holiday. There was one older gentleman as the previous customer, and no one else after him. The staff was a friendly lady with a bright smile. She happily allowed me to take photos inside the shop. The shop mainly sells cakes and baked goods. There were cute animal dolls by the window, bought in Otaru. I bought a few items while hesitating. - Fraisier: A fluffy sponge cake with plenty of cream and strawberries. It was light and refreshing, priced at 330 yen. - Pumpkin Mont Blanc: A seasonal cake with pumpkin cream, pastry crust, cream, custard, and a hint of liqueur. Moist and flavorful, priced at 340 yen. - Meringue Fraises: A meringue cookie with strawberry jam mixed in. It had a strong strawberry flavor and a standard texture, priced at 230 yen per bag. The cakes were light and easy to enjoy. The shop owner is from Otaru, and the taste somehow reminded me of the "Yogashi no Yakata" shop. In particular, the use of liqueur in the Pumpkin Mont Blanc was similar. The prices were reasonable and easy to purchase. I look forward to trying the Crème Brûlée next time. It was delicious, thank you for the treat.

Oh, there's a cake shop here. It's been around for a while, but I've never seen it featured in books or anything. Exterior...has an elegant atmosphere with a place to tie up dogs. Inside the shop...there's a space where you can leisurely look at baked goods. I remember it being very sweet when I had it before, but it seems to have become easier to eat. This time, I bought two types of Mont Blanc for 330 yen. They have a gentle flavor and are moist. Maybe it's because you can't buy them at regular stores in town. I hope this shop continues for a long time.

Visited Kotoni for work. I was hoping to find a delicious cake or bread shop, but there were none around. There are a lot of ramen shops near JR Kotoni Station! (I had ramen, haha) Then I found a bakery-looking sign in front of the station! After work, I decided to check it out and bingo! It was a cake shop! I went in without any prior information. They had a good variety of baked goods. While there weren't many cake options, there were a few cakes that caught my eye because of their beautiful appearance. They also had pudding and cream puffs, but I ended up buying two cakes. ★ Rouge Perle 340 yen A cake made with raspberries. The jelly-like texture around it was not too sweet or too sour... it was delicious. I was in a hurry when I ate it, so I can't remember the details very well, I'm sorry. ★ Cacao Bijou 330 yen A chocolate mousse with cocoa brulee inside. The outer layer was interesting. It was more bitter than I expected, and I really liked it! I didn't have high expectations when I walked in, so I'm glad I found a delicious shop. Kotoni is not a place I visit often, but this is a shop I would like to stop by if I ever go there. *I'm sorry for the messy cross-section photos.

It was always saying, "I wonder if it's delicious," along the road that often passes by, and finally, I was able to go there. After that, I kept going because it was delicious. The new items also suit my taste, and I always enjoy them. The other day, I found out they started a point card system. The pudding is so popular that it sells out quickly! The sunflower souffle is also popular and tends to sell out. I was surprised at how delicious the fraisier I bought for the first time was. The last time I went, the roll cake was sold out, so I definitely plan to buy it next time I go.

Since coming to Sapporo, Mr. Kurao has been visiting this place for 4 years. Everything he eats is delicious without fail!!! The staff at the shop are always smiling and very friendly. The cakes with seasonal fruits are also recommended. The roll cakes, cookies, and baked goods sold in the store are carefully made, which is very appealing. It would be great for souvenirs or gifts. If the prices were a little lower, there would be absolutely no complaints, but they are not so high that it's a problem. Considering the taste, appearance, and overall experience, there is nothing to complain about at all.

Cake shop in front of JR Kinugawa station. I had been curious about it for a while, but never had the chance to visit. I remembered it and decided to stop by to buy a cake for a small celebration. It was a weekday night, but there were many products such as sliced cakes, pies, and baked goods displayed in the case. Among them, a square chocolate whole cake on the top shelf caught my eye, so I purchased it. When I brought it home and shared it with my family, we were impressed by the fluffy sponge and the perfectly balanced sweetness of the chocolate. It was a sophisticated taste that we couldn't imagine from its appearance. The service was also great, and I would definitely like to visit again.
