Lunch filled up my stomach (*°∀、°*) I decided to take a walk to work up an appetite! I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking, which I had never visited before (´ω`) It turned out to be a great choice◎ The interior had a Showa era vibe, and the friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant only had a counter and tatami seating, but the low tables were oddly calming. The place was full of regular customers. We were served asparagus and vegetable appetizers. The elegant taste made me want to try making it at home! I referred to the recommendations on the striped board and ordered randomly, but each dish was carefully prepared. Skewers and oden were priced at 100 yen each, which was quite affordable. The grilled squid was delicious with extra meat in it. And it went well with mayonnaise (*´□`*)ｱｳｰ For the oden, they provided grated yam and mustard separately, and the grated yam added a nice touch to the broth, so I ordered extra radish◎ My companion ordered sake, and they were pleased with it, saying it might be better than beer (￣▽￣) The total bill was around 8000 yen for two people! You can order without worrying and it will only cost 4000 yen per person, which is quite reasonable♪ It was nice to discover this place while taking a stroll ( ¨̮ ) I will definitely come back. This is a nearby izakaya located across from Higashimitsuoka in January 2023. This izakaya is charming and popular for its rich menu and delicious hand-crafted dishes. I visited with some neighbors this time. We tried dishes like oden, which we don't usually have, and it was very delicious with a flavorful broth. The marinated oysters served as a starter were so good that we wanted seconds. The yakitori was also excellent, perfectly grilled with juicy and flavorful skewers.

In March 2015, I visited this traditional izakaya with a nostalgic atmosphere both outside and inside. The menu was extensive, and I ordered the recommended dishes of fried cod and fried octopus. I also ordered grilled chicken skewers, including liver, gizzard, thigh, and wings, which I love. This time, I was able to use chopsticks and celebrated with a beer. The appetizer was simmered sardines, which were very tender and delicious with a spicy seasoning. The highlight was the fried octopus, with crispy bones and tender meat, which I wanted to order more of. The fried cod was also delicious with a sweet vinegar sauce and no fishy taste. The grilled chicken skewers were tasty, although the liver was pork, which I'm not a big fan of. The skewers were small and easy to eat, with just the right amount of salt.
