Before returning to Sapporo from eastern Hokkaido, I wanted to have lunch at Indian Curry because I heard it was good. I went to Indian Kushiro Asahi-cho store, which is located inside Big House in Kushiro. It's great that you can enjoy Indian curry even in Kushiro. I usually order Indian Roux Seafood Katsu, but this time I tried Indian Roux Seafood Chicken. The chicken was tender and delicious. The rich curry roux is so addictive. As always, it was delicious.

The chain in Osaka with the same name has a similar logo but the taste is completely different. The toppings are plentiful, the prices are cheap, and it's delicious!! Even though it was my first time, I got excited and added shrimp toppings to my pork cutlet curry, how sinful. I went with the intention of getting the incredibly delicious chili lemon potatoes from Joy Pack Chicken, but this place I stumbled upon was also incredibly delicious... I was so focused on the crispy cutlet coated in a sweet and savory thick sauce. I want to eat it again...! I want to eat it again!

So, during my business trip to Kushiro, I finally had the chance to try Indian curry that I had been looking forward to. After finishing work, I visited the restaurant for dinner. The interior had counter seats all around and several box seats, making it quite spacious. Even on weekdays, it was quite crowded, with a high percentage of dine-in customers. However, there were also quite a few customers getting takeout, some even bringing their own pots. I decided to try the Chicken Curry with cheese topping, choosing a medium level of spiciness. Although I initially wanted to try the Indian curry made with Indian roux, I had a sudden craving for chicken curry, so I went with that. The curry at Indian Curry comes in three types of roux - Indian roux, basic roux, and vegetable roux, with spiciness levels ranging from medium to extremely spicy (recommended only for those confident in handling extreme spiciness). The Chicken Curry I ordered was made with basic roux, which contains beef extract and onions to bring out a rich flavor and sweetness. The tender, simmered young chicken breast pieces added a delicious touch to the curry, perfectly complementing the chicken's flavor. Overall, it was a delightful curry experience. The parking lot was large and easy to use as it was inside a supermarket. I visited on a Sunday night! They were almost closing so some curry roux varieties were sold out, but I still got to eat curry. The wheat flour-like taste was delicious. They had several types of roux, so I want to go back again.

I arrived at the restaurant around 7 pm in June 2023. I usually don't eat at night, but sometimes I crave dinner. I've gotten used to not eating much at night for years, but occasionally I feel like having a meal at night. Maybe it's because of stress. The next morning, I had heartburn. There were 5 groups of customers before me and 3 groups after me. I ordered the Seafood Curry (medium spicy), which had plenty of shrimp and squid in it. It had just the right amount of spiciness. My favorite is topping Indian Lou with cutlets, but sometimes it's nice to try something different. I remember how happy I was when Indian first opened in Kushiro. Even though the beloved branch is closed, I hope the one in Asahimachi does well!

Having lunch in Kushiro! I overheard people talking about katsu curry, so I was in the mood for it and decided to visit Indian restaurant after a long time. I arrived around 12:30 and the restaurant was about 80% full. There were also quite a few takeout orders, so it was bustling. It seems like the nearby Indian restaurant is closed, so maybe everyone is coming here instead. I already knew what I wanted to eat, so I ordered the Indian katsu curry with extra spiciness without hesitation. It was served in about 3 minutes. Let's dig in. Did Indian curry always have this much onion in it? The taste is still as delicious as ever. I noticed that the onions were in a different shape than I remembered, but it's been a while since I last had Indian curry, so my memory might be off. Listening to other people's orders, I heard someone say, "put the katsu on top." Ah, I should have ordered it that way. I'll try that next time. I wish the katsu was juicier, but maybe I shouldn't have expected too much. Thanks for the meal!

When I went to Obihiro, I definitely didn't miss it, but I'm delighted that there are two stores in Kushiro as well. I planned to have pork cutlet curry for dinner, so I visited early in the afternoon. I had the pork cutlet curry and added extra cutlet, along with the Indian curry. In the end, I ended up here. When I went to Kushiro, I really wanted to try Indian curry for the first time. I asked for a recommendation and, as expected, I got the Indian curry extra spicy, but the price was still super cheap. The curry, which had been left to sit for a day, was a bit thick and had a nostalgic taste that was delicious. Even though it was extra spicy, it had just the right amount of heat and was delicious. It's a common choice for business trips to Obihiro, but there was also one near Kushiro Station. I had planned to have the famous pork cutlet curry in Kushiro, but when I checked at the P Ne on the north side of Kushiro Station, I found out that they are only open for lunch. So, I decided to come here instead. The pork cutlet curry here is always delicious. I tried ordering it extra spicy, but it's not as spicy as other places. I will definitely visit again.

Due to the influence of a low-pressure system, the train bound for Obihiro stopped in Kushiro, so I had to stay another night in Kushiro. I had Indian food that I was planning to eat in Obihiro in Kushiro instead. I walked for about 15 minutes in the pouring rain to get there. It was around 17:00, so it was not crowded. I ordered a standard Indian curry with a spice level of 5, but the taste was just ordinary.

I wasn't expecting much from the hamburger, but I was surprised by its solid texture and thickness. It's unclear if it was made with Indian roux in mind, but I think it goes really well together. The roux still maintains its richness and flavor. The fact that you can enjoy this taste at this price point makes it a great value. The restaurant was still popular as usual, and when I visited around 6 pm on a weekday, it was bustling with both dine-in and take-out customers.

In the center of Obihiro, there is an Indian restaurant that only operates in the Tokachi area. I first tried it about three years ago in Obihiro, and it was a nostalgic taste. Even though it was before dinner, when we came to the supermarket for shopping and saw the Indian restaurant, we couldn't resist and entered. We ordered one portion to share between the two of us. The staff was very kind and offered to split the portion into two servings. The Indian curry had a somewhat Western flavor with a thick and rich texture. Be careful, as adding the spicy oil on the table makes it quite spicy. Whenever I see the Indian restaurant sign, I know I will definitely go in. It was a very satisfying curry.

I ordered the spicy version of the Hamburg Curry at Indian Kushiro! The curry was old-fashioned with a strong sweetness and not much richness. The curry roux contained beef, which was tender and cooked to perfection, although not very juicy. The umami flavor of the beef was prominent. The spicy level was quite high, enough to make my tongue tingle! However, this spiciness helped balance out the sweetness of the curry, giving it a refreshing taste. The hamburg steak was firm and not oily, with a mild flavor and a strong taste of onions and sweetness, which complemented the spicy curry well! On the table, there were three toppings available: fukujinzuke, shiso seeds, and pickled ginger. There was also hot oil to adjust the spiciness. The fukujinzuke was plain, while the shiso seeds added a bitter flavor that enhanced the curry. The pickled ginger, which looked like sushi ginger, had a sweet and sour taste with a strong ginger flavor. Surprisingly, it paired well with the sweet curry, even better than the fukujinzuke! I never thought pickled ginger would go so well with curry!

It's been a while since I had Indian curry. I usually order Indian curry with a spicy kick, but today, probably due to the heat, I accidentally asked for a spicy large portion of hamburger curry instead. Even though I was eating hamburger for lunch... But hamburger curry is still Indian curry, so the taste is the same as always. The difference between cutlets and hamburgers isn't a big deal. The large portion of hamburger curry has a powerful presence. As always, make sure to top it with plenty of pickled ginger. This combination is exquisite and I love it. The sharp spiciness of the Indian curry is consistently delicious and goes well with the summer heat. However, if it's too spicy, the umami flavor might be lost, so I think a spicy kick is the limit. Hamburgers... they can't compare to cutlets. They taste like store-bought frozen ones, no excitement here. Let's enjoy this as Indian curry. Then, there's no problem at all. I enjoyed it. Indean Indian, not Indian‼︎ I always thought it was Indian. There are about two stores in Kushiro, near Kushiro Station. The first thing that surprised me was the price⁉️ If you don't add any toppings, you will get change from a single coin. Seriously❓ There are two base curries, Indian curry and vegetable curry, but here they serve the Indean Indian curry that comes with the name of the restaurant. The curry that came out was a type with a thick roux, like homemade curry. It was not very spicy, more like a homely curry❗️ But... that's good‼️ Delicious. I still prefer curry rice. I like curry rice overwhelmingly more than fancy curries. The hot oil on the table is also good. I'm not good with spicy food, but I like this hot oil because it doesn't interfere with the curry's flavor. Thank you for the meal.
