On June 3, 2016, I had a meeting in Iwamizawa at night. It wasn't for work - today was a day with a lot of travel. I just made it to the meeting on time and it ended in about an hour. Instead of having dinner at home, I was feeling really hungry and couldn't resist stopping by a convenience store. I went to Lawson in Iwamizawa 4-jo Nishi 7-chome store. Lately, Lawson has been offering a variety of freshly prepared foods, bento boxes, sandwiches, and more. As a Hokkaido native, I have a bias that "Sekoma" is the original and the best in terms of taste, but sometimes Lawson's bento boxes are also worth trying, right? While browsing, my wife called me. I had already informed her that I would be late today, but it seems she wasn't feeling well and asked me to pick something up for her. I was planning to have a bento and head home, but I had to get something for her after I got back. I bought a parent and child rice bowl for myself and a Neapolitan pasta for my wife. The Neapolitan pasta wasn't freshly made in the store. Anyway, I tried my parent and child rice bowl, which had a soft-boiled egg in the middle, giving it an egg-rich taste. The texture was quite soft and the taste wasn't bad, but for some reason, I didn't find it very delicious. The rice portion was quite large but the flavor was a bit bland, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. I think Sekoma's bento boxes are tastier. My wife quite liked the Neapolitan pasta. I tried a bit, and yes, it was delicious. Well, I'm glad she enjoyed it. In any case, convenience stores are very convenient. I'm grateful for Lawson. Thank you for the meal!
