The event on the 6th floor had the usual shops, but I stumbled upon a booth for Tokachi Daibou, a town in Makubetsu, offering samples of vegetable flakes. They had pumpkin soup, corn soup, and freshly made potato paste, all surprisingly delicious. I ended up buying Inca Awakening flakes (140g), corn flakes (130g), and if an old lady bought three, she got one free, so I also got pumpkin flakes (130g) and potato flakes (210g) for free. They were quite clever with their sales tactics. These flakes can be used to make potato salad, croquettes, soups, and more, making them versatile and a taste of Hokkaido.

Another company from Hokkaido also sells similar products, but this one is better. There are different stages of decay, but these flakes are quite delicate, so they need to be refrigerated after opening. The Inca Awakening in autumn is a must-try.
