3/30/2019 - I went back to have my car inspection done without any issues. I thought about going to another place, but I wasn't really feeling up to it because I was tired. I decided to just go home and have a drink! But I didn't have any snacks for my drink. My wife was also in Sapporo, so I was unsure what to do as I got closer to home. I thought, "Well, this is fine." I stopped by Lawson Yutaka-cho store and bought some Karaage-kun. They didn't have the regular flavor, so I got the Red one. I also bought a red bean rice ball, which I like. It's important to note that there are two types of red rice balls - one with sweet red beans and one with regular red beans. Recently, Seven-Eleven only has the sweet red bean one, which is unacceptable! But Lawson had the one with regular red beans. I bought it and went back home. After returning home, I enjoyed it with sweet potato shochu. Karaage-kun is always a classic taste. The red bean rice ball was decent, not the most delicious rice, but it was okay. It's standard to have it not too sweet. It was tasty enough. Lawson has Karaage-kun! I will definitely use it again when in need. Thank you for the meal!

Tonight, my wife is not home so I had to prepare dinner for myself. I had ramen for lunch, so for dinner... I thought about various options but felt lazy, so I decided to buy something from the convenience store on my way home. As I entered the Lawson store in Yuni-cho, I checked out the hot snack corner. They had Karaage-kun, both regular and red... I also decided to buy one onigiri. Oh, they have the "Devil's Onigiri" too. Might as well try it. I'll have it when I get home. It will go well with some alcohol. Karaage-kun is already a classic taste, right? It's been a while since I had it, and it still gives me that comforting feeling. It's not too oily and easy to eat. In the end, this might be the ultimate snack to get from a convenience store. Next is the infamous Devil's Onigiri. Honestly, it doesn't have any particularly rare ingredients. I think the tempura bits with miso are the highlight, but the taste was as I imagined. It was tasty, but not something to be amazed by. It's worth the price, though. Nevertheless, I wanted to try this talked-about item at least once, so I'm glad I had the experience. It's nice to have a meal from Lawson once in a while. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Congratulations on the grand opening of a new Lawson store in Yunimachi on July 30, 2016! With this new addition, there are now three convenience stores - Lawson, Seven Eleven, and Sekoma - evenly spaced along Route 234 near Yunimachi. I stopped by on my way back from having ramen to pick up dinner. I noticed they had a cold salt ramen supervised by Kazunari Ichimomo. I bought it and chilled it in the fridge to enjoy later that night. I poured the soup over the noodles and added the toppings - char siu, bamboo shoots, watercress, green onions, and tomatoes. When I tried it, I felt like the taste was a bit lacking. While the salt ramen was light and okay, it didn't have the impact of a cold noodle dish like hiyashi chuka. The watercress being raw also felt out of place in this light cold ramen. Well, convenience store items like this can be hit or miss. I would say the cold miso ramen supervised by Ayami is much tastier. Nonetheless, I appreciate having more options in Yunimachi with this new convenience store. I'll probably be back for hot snacks in the future. Thank you for the meal!
