Welcome. I found a kiosk in the waiting room at Iwamizawa Bus Terminal Station. It's more like an antenna shop for Sorachi's local specialties rather than a regular convenience store. It's a place you wouldn't come to unless you're taking the bus. There is an old-fashioned bakery in front of Kuriyama Station. The bread is generously topped with sugar, but the sweetness of the red bean paste inside is not too overwhelming, just right. It's a rare find, and surprisingly, quite a popular spot.

I'm in Iwamizawa for work, at the bus terminal... I'm at a convenience store operated by Chuo Bus Group, selling bento boxes, rice balls, sandwiches, snacks, soft drinks, etc. In front of the store, there are vending machines for hot snacks and coffee... I bought a "Chicken Egg Roll @160+tax" and a local specialty "Kusamochi @100+tax". The Chicken Egg Roll had firm chicken and the egg was seasoned with a slightly strong mayonnaise flavor. The Kusamochi from "Kawada Kashiya" was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There is a shop at the Iwamizawa Bus Terminal called Kurayama Seika, which offers a selection of drinks, snacks, onigiri, bread, and local specialties that are suitable for enjoying on the bus. They also have items like condolence envelopes and offerings for the Buddhist festival. I picked up some soup curry and beef stew, which seemed to be souvenirs from Furano. The prices seemed reasonable, and the soup curry had a homemade taste that could be enhanced with added vegetables at home. Later, I found the same items being sold at a convenience store in Sapporo for around 380 yen. It was fun to browse the shop while waiting for the bus, as there isn't a convenience store nearby, although there is one at the station. It's worth checking out if you're in the area.
