In the afternoon of May 27, 2015, near the fresh market frequented by residents of Higashinaoho and Fushiko Minami, there is an old café kitchen called "Kafe Kicchin." The parking lot is spacious, with room for more than 10 cars. When you enter, you'll see that it's bustling even on weekdays. People are enjoying manga, smoke, and food all around. What's impressive is the wide selection of weekly manga magazines! They have popular ones like Young Magazine, Young Jump, and Big Comic Spirits, as well as some lesser-known ones like Young Animal and Young Champion. It seems like they have almost everything covered. You won't need to read manga standing in a convenience store anymore, so if your office is nearby, you might find yourself coming here twice a week! The manga selection is extensive and really gets you excited. Now, a kind-looking slender owner guides you to the counter. You receive the menu and water, and you wonder if you should go for the daily special or the Japanese-style grated hamburger for 520 yen. You decide on the Japanese-style grated hamburger with ginger pork and rice, with a large serving! It costs 670 yen plus an extra 150 yen for a large rice portion. Let's see how it tastes. After a short wait, you notice the existence of pork cutlet curry... maybe you should have ordered that. The owner, in a comical manner, quickly takes orders and serves water. The dish arrives in just 5 or 6 minutes, which feels fast! You can't see it, but it seems like there's someone cooking in the back. The ginger pork and rice dish looks surprisingly refreshing. Time to dig in! The ginger pork has a nostalgic, home-cooked taste with a strong soy sauce flavor. The meat is thinly sliced with a good amount of fat. The side salad has a crunchy texture. The large rice portion and miso soup with tofu go well with the meal. The ginger pork is quietly and smoothly devoured. If the rice and miso soup were hotter, it would have been even better. Maybe if you don't opt for the large rice portion, the value for money would be better! However, I wish they would serve a larger portion of rice. Enjoying the meal costs 820 yen in total. Feeling a bit unsatisfied, you decide to check out Matsuo Jingisukan Fushiko next door for some more food!笑
