Good evening, everyone. The other day, I lined up for 2 and a half hours to visit a super popular tsukemen (dipping noodles) restaurant. Let me briefly write about that experience. I had never been to Kameari before, so I decided to go and also visit a famous restaurant, Tsukemen Michi. I didn't expect to wait outside for 2 and a half hours, so I was shivering from the cold. I didn't plan on arriving before the opening time, so I ended up waiting longer than expected. It was worth the wait, though. The thick noodles, the crystallized flavor of the soup, the freshly chopped green onions, and the fragrant burnt garlic oil were all shining. I started eating. I dipped the noodles into the soup and took a sip. It was rich. The intense and complex umami flavor felt like layers of intricately woven fabric. The sweetness was strong but not monotonous, stimulating the palate and urging me to eat more noodles. The noodles were unlike any I had experienced before - thick and chewy. The noodles had a strong presence. I couldn't stop eating. I even forgot to breathe, completely engrossed in the meal. The flavor was intense and salty, so it may not be suitable for those who don't like strong flavors. But I love rich flavors, so I savored every bite. It was already quite late for lunch, around 3:30, which might have contributed to my intense hunger. I took a break and tried the green onions. The crunchy texture and refreshing moisture helped refresh my palate. I decided to try other toppings. The bamboo shoots were marinated in kombu and delicious on their own. The meatballs were firm and tasty. Surprisingly, the chashu was tender and less assertive in flavor. Perhaps too much flavor would be overwhelming. The egg had a unique yogurt-like freshness in its yolk. It was creamy and delicious. Around halfway through the noodles, I tried the garlic oil for a flavor change. The burnt notes added an extra punch. I finished everything in a frenzy. The irresistible and addictive deliciousness lingered until the end. However, the medium portion of 300g was surprisingly heavy. I ended up feeling too full. Yet, there was still the creme brulee to come. I had bought the ticket in advance after hearing that I would regret not trying it, but I started sweating nervously. The creme brulee was cool, with a crispy caramel top and a custard cream that was solid and professional. Indeed, I would regret not eating it. It would be nice if they could offer it for takeout, but that might be difficult. Thank you for the meal. The tsukemen was characterized by its sweetness and addictive umami flavor that kept me eating without stopping. If it were nearby, I might line up every holiday. Next time, I'll aim for the opening time and be prepared to wait properly. Well then, everyone, enjoy your meal!

It is close to Kameari Station. There is a coin parking nearby. I went around 2 o'clock and there were about 15 people waiting in line. Once you hand over the food ticket, you cannot change from regular size to medium size. On Sundays, you can only order salt flavor. I ordered the special, but 1600 yen was quite expensive.

This is a famous Tokyo representative tsukemen shop called "Tsukemen Michi," which opened in July 2009 and is selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog every year. The location is in a shopping street called "Ichiban-gai," about a 2-minute walk from Denenchofu Station's north exit in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo. There is a coin parking nearby. I revisited after a few years on a weekday around 11:30 am and there were 7 people waiting outside. I joined the end of the line and waited for about 20 minutes before being prompted by the staff to purchase tickets at the ticket machine on the left side of the store for the Special Tsukemen for ¥1,600 and a large serving of noodles for an additional ¥300. I took my food ticket and waited outside on a chair. After a few more minutes, I was escorted inside. The interior of the shop has a stylish design with a black color scheme. There are only 8 seats at the L-shaped counter. The space at the counter is generously allocated for each individual. The operation is run by two staff members, one for cooking and one for the front of the house. Both are young men, with the front of house staff checking the line outside and assisting inside, while the cook provides detailed explanations of the dishes with a smile. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the food was served. The toppings were served separately on a plate, giving a luxurious appearance. The noodles were thick and straight, with a glossy finish and a slightly firm texture. The dipping sauce was very hot, made from a mixture of fish, pork bone, and chicken broth, with a rich and creamy flavor. Despite looking light, it was surprisingly rich and creamy. The noodles were from Kanejin Foods, cooked slightly firm, and had a chewy texture that paired well with the dipping sauce. The toppings included chashu, salted chashu, seasoned egg, chicken meatballs, Menma bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The chopped green onions were a mix of white and green onions. The chashu was tender, the salted chashu had a ham-like texture, and the seasoned egg had a gel-like yolk with a strong flavor. The Menma bamboo shoots were thinly sliced and lightly seasoned. The chicken meatballs were unremarkable. Mixing the green onions and fruit vinegar on the table into the dipping sauce added a different flavor experience. After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed the remaining sauce by diluting it with soup. Overall, it was probably one of the top tsukemen shops in Tokyo, but the toppings did not quite reach that level, to be honest. Next time, I might try a regular order instead of the special one. Thank you for the meal! 🚶‍♂️

Arrived 5 minutes before opening, there were about 10 people in line. Couldn't make it in the first turn, so they rotated 4 people at a time. The line moved at a pace of one frame every two frames. It's Sunday, but apparently it's "Salt Day" on Monday and Tuesday, which contradicts the information on the poster. Leaving that aside, the cleanliness of the store is not bad, but what stands out more is the relaxed attitude of the staff. The noodles themselves are thick and chewy, with a seafood broth that is different from places like Rokurinsha, but still flavorful.

Ramen shop visit #87. The visit is getting harder as we go along ^^; First time at Kameari Station. It's an area I don't usually visit, so I used a JR Tokyo Wide Pass for a ramen day out. Arrived on a Sunday before 1pm, joined a line of about 10 people. They let in groups of 4 at a time. Ordered the special dipping ramen and a beer (drinking on a holiday afternoon is bliss). After about 30 minutes, we were seated. Started with the beer. Comes with a snack. Then the ramen arrived. The toppings were served on a separate plate, great presentation! Thick, glossy noodles with a distinct square shape. The dipping sauce was piping hot. It's a seafood pork chicken broth, with the seafood flavor subtle and the rich sweetness of the animal bones coming through. Looks light, but surprisingly rich and creamy. The noodles are firm and chewy. They mix well with the dipping sauce, a perfect match. Toppings included chashu, salted chashu, flavored egg, chicken meatballs, bamboo shoots, seaweed, and a mix of white and green onions on a separate plate. Adding the fruit vinegar on the table brought a whole new flavor dimension, making it delicious till the end. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the popular tsukemen restaurant "Tsukemen Michi," which has also been selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops, located a 2-minute walk from Kameari Station North Exit. I arrived at around 13:40 and saw only 4 people waiting in line in front of the shop, but then realized that everyone was actually queuing on the other side where there was a cone placed. I ended up being the 8th person in line. The shop operates with groups of 4 people entering at a time. I purchased my meal ticket first and waited for about 30 minutes. The seating was at a counter for 8 people. I ordered the ⭐️Special Tsukemen for 1,600 yen, with toppings served separately. It came with 1 slice of chashu, 1 salted chashu, 1 flavored egg, menma, pork slices, seaweed, green onions, and a daily special topping (spicy garlic soy sauce). The reason for serving the toppings separately is because they want you to first taste the noodles and soup on their own. They have confidence in their flavors, which is why they do it this way. Following the shop's instructions, I first tried the noodles alone. The medium-thick noodles were chewy and had a good texture when combined with the soup. The soup is a blend of pork bone and seafood broth. Then, I added the toppings and later the spicy garlic soy sauce for a flavor change. I enjoy spicy food, so this suited my taste. It was very delicious and definitely worth the wait. Additionally, every Monday and Tuesday, the shop transforms into "Shio no Michi," offering a rich and creamy salt ramen instead of tsukemen. I would like to try that as well.

Saturday afternoon visit. Arrived at 10:20 with one person ahead of me. The line formation was that the first four people lined up where there were chairs in front of the shop, and the rest lined up from the cone across the street. I bought my meal ticket when prompted by the staff. Today, luckily, they opened at 11:00, so the wait time was about 40 minutes. I received my bowl of ramen about 15 minutes after being seated. The thick soup with a strong seafood flavor is my favorite. The noodles disappeared quickly, even though I ordered the large size with an additional free bowl of soup. The special chashu and menma were delicious, but lacked a bit of originality in my opinion, so I might go for the regular next time. The brulee dessert left a similar impression - satisfying but not something I'd crave again. There was an ashtray outside the shop, which was very convenient for smokers like me during the wait or after the meal, but I noticed a slight smell of smoke inside the shop which bothered me a bit. Next time, I'll try the tsukemen.

Special dipping noodles for 1450 yen + extra-large serving for 500g for 300 yen = 1750 yen. It had been years since I last had dipping noodles, and this place is my personal favorite, so I was really looking forward to it. It had changed quite a bit, with the parking lot in front now turned into a condominium. The deli that used to look delicious while waiting in line was also gone. The owner, who used to have a shaved head, now had hair. I got greedy and ordered the extra-large serving because I wanted to eat until I was full, and boy, did I get full. I'll be more careful about the amount of noodles next time.

I visited the popular tsukemen restaurant, Tsukemen Michi, for the first time. I arrived on a Friday at 4:50 pm, aiming to visit a place that doesn't have long lines on weekdays. Luckily, there was no wait and I was able to enter right away, but unfortunately, they had run out of noodles by the time it was my turn. I ordered the medium-sized salt tsukemen for 1300 yen. It was my first time trying it, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out that it was Salt Tsukemen Day. Normally, they serve a seafood tsukemen. The salt tsukemen had a rich and hot dipping sauce that was delicious! The thinly sliced chashu was flavorful and tasty. It was unusual to see seaweed in the dish, but it added a nice touch. The soup served for mixing was just the right thickness and also delicious!

Arrived at the restaurant around 11:20 on Thursday and found 4 people already waiting in front of the store, with 3 more across the street. Suddenly, lively cheers were heard from inside the shop, and I realized it had not opened yet. Checked the opening time on this site and found out it was at 11:30. Finally, the shop opened and the first 4 people were let in. I was then seated at a round table with 4 seats. I ordered the "tsukemen" with the regular 200g of noodles. We were then led inside one by one to purchase meal tickets from the machine on the left. The seating consisted of an L-shaped counter with 5 seats and 3 seats, totaling 8 seats. I sat in the corner seat, the 8th person to enter. The first 4 orders were already served in individual bowls on the top counter. Our orders were then served one by one. The noodles were just the right thickness, and the hot soup was delicious. The tsukune and egg had unique flavors that I enjoyed. I finished the noodles quickly and would order a larger portion next time for sure.

I stopped by for lunch and ordered the dipping noodles for ¥1,200. The rich salt dipping noodles were delicious. The soup, a blend of pork, chicken, and seafood, was tasty. The broth wasn't too greasy, making it easy to eat. The noodles had a good aroma and texture, and were delicious. Squeezing lemon over the noodles for a flavor change also made them refreshing and tasty.

Conclusion: The salted thick noodles cost 950 yen, and you can add extra noodles for 200 yen. In short, it is delicious. The flavor is strong and a bit sweet, but you can still taste the seafood umami. If you order extra noodles, you can get a refill of the soup. The restaurant operates on a strict policy of seating only new customers once a group leaves, which may not be understood by all. The waiting time is long. It's a shame that the staff doesn't seem to apologize for the wait. A few words can leave a lasting impression on customers. Unfortunately, this was lacking in this case.

Today, I had plans for back-to-back meals in Kameari. First stop was at the famous tsukemen restaurant "Michi". I arrived at 11:07 am on Saturday and was the 10th in line. The restaurant opens at 11:30, so I waited for about an hour and finally got in at 12:06. The food was served quickly, with the noodles arriving in about 5 minutes. They were placed on a tray for serving. The thick noodles had a sweet flavor that intensified with each chew, making them delicious on their own. When dipped in the soup, they combined perfectly, creating an indescribable taste in my mouth. I finished it in no time. I ordered the regular size since I had more meals planned, but I kind of wished I had ordered a larger portion. As a final touch, I also had the creme brulee, which was also delicious. It was worth coming all the way to Kameari. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

Wow, the wait was incredible. But it was worth it because the food was amazing. I arrived at 11:45 and there were already 8 people in line. It seems they let in groups of 4, so I was able to enter around 12:30. I ordered the tsukemen (dipping noodles) for 1200 yen. The noodles were served quickly after I entered. I thought it would be the typical fish broth soup, but it was different and delicious. And it was served piping hot, which was great. The tsukune (chicken meatballs), chashu (roast pork), and menma (bamboo shoots) on the side were all tasty as well. I also liked that they provided garlic soy sauce and vinegar on the side for flavor variations. I let the broth get a bit too strong in flavor, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this old popular restaurant. It's been a while since I had such delicious tsukemen.

Kameari is a place that I don't often go to, and it feels far away (my second time in life). However, when I actually went there, it was surprisingly close. I decided to visit a place that I had been curious about, a ramen shop called "Michi." I arrived a bit late around 2:00 PM, and there was only one person waiting. I bought a ticket for the "special tsukemen" with extra noodles for 1,550 yen. The price of ramen seems to be increasing these days, but compared to some shops that charge 2,000 yen, it didn't seem too bad (maybe I'm being influenced). I handed my ticket to the staff and waited outside in the scorching heat. After about 10 minutes, I was guided inside. Inside, there was a signed board by the late Ichio Yamagishi saying "I surrender." A legend who created tsukemen saying "I surrender." Quite an achievement. The tsukemen had a rich and salty flavor with a punch of saltiness, balanced with toppings like green onions, daily changing condiments, and specially prepared bamboo shoots that added depth and variety to the taste. The thick noodles also had a perfect balance with the dipping sauce, absorbing the flavors while asserting their presence. Each bite provided a different impression and taste. The dipping sauce, served simmering hot, enhanced the overall experience. It was delicious and thoughtfully crafted to keep customers coming back for more. I think the chef here is quite skilled. I would definitely like to visit this tsukemen shop again. However, I noticed that there were some concerns about it becoming too touristy based on the customers I saw, so visiting on a weekday like I did was probably the right choice.

The shop is always closed, but when I casually passed by and saw only 4 people waiting, I decided to line up. The shop operates on a complete turnover system during busy times, so I was inside in 7-8 minutes. It was my first visit, and they recommended the "rich salt dipping noodles" for the day, so I ordered the special version. The extra-thick noodles require about 12 minutes to cook, as indicated by a notice inside the shop, so I patiently waited for my dish. When it arrived, the staff kindly suggested, "Please try it with lemon on top!" I started by tasting the soup, which was okay, nothing special. The noodles had a nice chewy texture, which I quite liked. Overall, the staff was great, and the soup and noodles were decent, but it just didn't suit my taste. Just a tip, it seems that there are fewer customers on hot days. After me, someone managed to enter without waiting in line. Also, be careful when eating dipping noodles as the thick noodles tend to splash the soup more than usual.

Thick fish soup with thick noodles! Famous restaurant ♡ [Tokyo: 3 minutes walk from Kameari Station] ● Special dipping noodles ¥1350 The thick noodles are chewy and smooth, and the fish soup is very rich, showing that the quality is quite high just from the broth! The variety of condiments on the table for flavor enhancement is abundant, making it quite enjoyable to customize the taste! And there's no dish that disappoints! Some famous restaurants may have poor customer service, but this place has really good service!! The staff are attentive and explain the dishes kindly. With such pleasant service, you can enjoy delicious dipping noodles in a good mood. You first line up to buy a meal ticket, then enter the shop when called by the staff. After purchasing, you line up again in the same place. The turnover is not that slow, but I waited about 40 minutes when I visited at 12:00 on a Saturday. Be careful of heatstroke while waiting in line! This is a wonderful restaurant that I would love to visit again ♫ I will be back!

Tsukemen Michi. A well-known popular tsukemen place. I was surprised when I walked in, as the noodles were extra thick and cooked for 12 minutes. This time, I ordered the special tsukemen. The chewy noodles and rich dipping sauce were so delicious that I almost forgot to eat the toppings. Adding toppings like green onions, garlic soy sauce, and fruit vinegar from the table to the noodles brought out a different aspect of the dish. The toppings were also of high quality, with the pork shoulder being moist and tender, and the pork loin having a slight chewiness. The portion size is just right for the delicious noodles at this place.

It's been so long since I last had ramen, I can't even remember how many years have passed. I found myself in an area I rarely visit, and decided to line up at a ramen shop with a 15-minute wait. I ordered the tsukemen for 1250 yen with an extra serving for 100 yen. The broth was rich with fish and shellfish flavors, and the pork bone broth had a strong punch to it. The flavored egg was creamy and delicious. I wonder how they make it? The chashu was cooked at a low temperature for a long time, resulting in a tender and flavorful meat. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

Cold noodle with dipping sauce. I actually wanted to eat toppings like roasted pork, but I accidentally chose this. However, the fact that "cold noodle with dipping sauce" is displayed in the top left of the ticket machine shows their confidence in the noodles. The instructions on how to eat are also written. You start by eating the noodles alone without any toppings. Then you dip the noodles in wasabi salt and eat them. Or you can just eat them with the soup. Watching the staff's meticulous cooking at the counter adds to the excitement. The polite service also makes me feel more upright. Oh, it was delicious! The noodles were great! This is the standard pork bone and seafood dipping noodles. I visited around 2 pm on Saturday and there were only about 2 people waiting, so I was able to enter quite smoothly.
