On May 31, 2015, it was the last day of the Nanohana Festival. This shop is located along the main street of Ebisugawa. I used to visit this shop often when I was a child visiting my grandparents' house. There used to be various shops on this street such as stationery stores, bookstores, and clothing stores, but now most of them are closed. This shop participates in the Nanohana Festival every year, and this time they were selling additive-free homemade jam, scones, and plenty of fresh vegetables. I was looking forward to the bread, but they were not selling it this time so I bought three types of scones. The scones were not very sweet and went well with tea. They were quite big and satisfying to eat. I look forward to visiting the Nanohana Festival again next year. Thank you for the meal!

There is a small supermarket-like shop on the road between Michi-no-Eki Takikawa and Lawson, heading towards Ebeotsu Station. They mainly sell food and daily necessities, but also offer homemade additive-free baked goods, bread, and jam made by the owner's wife. I have tried their jam and chiffon cake at events like the Rape Blossom Festival and at the Michi-no-Eki, and they were all delicious, so I decided to visit the shop. Dry fruit bread / 500 yen: This is a very large loaf of bread with walnuts, cranberries, and figs mixed in, topped with sliced almonds. The bread dough made with eggs and butter is a beige color, soft, and very fluffy. It has a mild and flavorful taste with a good texture. It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. It was so big that even sharing it with my family, we couldn't finish it in one day, but it was still soft the next day. It tastes like homemade bread but exceeded my expectations. I want to go back to buy bread and jam again next time.
