I stopped by after a light lunch. What should I choose? Maybe I'll try the new "Anmaron" product? Oh, they have a special service item for the 90th anniversary for just one coin! Alright, I'll go with that! The poinsettias next to the register are beautiful, aren't they? With permission from the cute cashier, I took a picture. The sweet potatoes... the taste has stayed the same for so long, it's delicious. The popular product set of 3 for 500 yen was great! Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

After eating sushi, I stopped by the restroom which was next to Wakasa-imo, and even though I didn't have much time, I couldn't resist taking a look inside. They had a variety of Japanese and Western sweets. I ended up buying two bean and grass daifuku. I had them as dessert after sushi. They were small, but the sweetness and amount of filling were just right. I devoured them in almost two bites, so there was no trace of the grass daifuku left. It was delicious!!! Ah, I'm satisfied. I want to go there leisurely next time.

Wakasaimo Honpo has started a limited 11-day Daifuku Festival. Everything looks so delicious! What caught my attention was their red bean sesame flavor, a new flavor challenge since their establishment. I couldn't resist trying it. Inside the red bean paste, there are fragrant sesame seeds with a scent of egg soy sauce. It's soft and fluffy, different from their usual offerings, but still delicious. I also couldn't help but buy their freshly made daifuku and chiffon cake. I have no time to lose weight!

I had lunch at the neighboring conveyor belt sushi restaurant and then bought some sweets. I forgot the official names, but I got a cupcake and a cream puff. I lost the receipt so I don't remember the exact amount, but the cupcake was around 300 yen to 380 yen, and the cream puff was about 100 yen. The cupcake was chocolate banana flavor. The chocolate on top was really delicious! But the bottom was a bit strange. I thought it would be banana mousse and chocolate, but it was more like sponge cake soaked in some liquid... I love chocolate banana, but next time I'll try something else. (laughs) The sweets from Wakasaimo are usually supposed to be a bit tastier than a 3.1 rating, but what I had this time ended up with that rating. My husband's cream puff was different from the usual big cream puffs he eats, but he said it was "just delicious."

I went to have lunch at the neighboring Kitakitaya, and since Wakasaimo is right next door, I couldn't just pass by. As usual, they had delicious cakes and manju. (I forgot to take a picture, but I also bought some Karinto Manju. It was delicious.) Wakasaimo's cakes always have interesting new creations, and they all look delicious. The prices are quite reasonable too. This time, I chose the Sweet Potato Shortcake. Inside the tall layers of shortcake, you can see what looks like mashed sweet potato. Hmm, I've seen Sweet Potato Mont Blanc before, but never a Shortcake, so I bought it out of curiosity. It wasn't as sweet potato-y as I expected, which was both disappointing and pleasing. It blended well with the shortcake base. The cake is quite sweet. By the way, they were also selling "Red and White Sweet Potato" for the New Year, and I was a bit torn. Coated with white chocolate and strawberry chocolate! It looked celebratory and delicious. I look forward to trying another unique cake next time. Thank you for the meal!

Wakasaimo must be thinking that they want to compete with just wakasaimo alone, but it seems impossible to feed tens of thousands of people with just wakasaimo. They have to sell other sweets too, not just wakasaimo. Wakasaimo actually sells a lot of different sweets. Preconceptions can be misleading. I don't remember much about eating "anpote" before. Eating it every six months might keep it feeling fresh. Come to think of it, I haven't eaten wakasaimo in a while. It's a steamed bun, right? The cream is mixed with smooth red bean paste, and the skin is moist, so it blends well with the red bean paste. It seems that the red bean paste is mixed with whipped cream, making it tastier than just smooth red bean paste. It's really delicious.

It was a gift I received (つ^o^)つ - It was a smooth anko-filled pie! Since it's made with pie crust, it has a slightly different texture compared to dorayaki (ΦωΦ) - I really like anpote, it's smooth sweet potato paste with anko inside (つ^o^)つ, giving it a sweet potato pie-like flavor♪ - Delicious manju with a funny name lol, it's a manju with black sugar-flavored anko (^o^)♪ - I haven't had sweet potatoes in a while, but it's consistently delicious (ΦωΦ). I used to think it was more dry, but it's quite smooth and moist now (ΦωΦ). It seems like it would go well with tea (or else it might stick to your throat lol). Overall, I thought the anko was quite sweet (ΦωΦ).

This is a gift from my uncle who lives in Sapporo. He said he came to visit the grave again after dreaming of grandma. I thought it was a souvenir from a trip, but it's different. He said, "You can buy it anywhere in Sapporo Station." Oh, I see. But why sweet potatoes? (laughs) I actually like sweet potatoes. I received some a few years ago and when I ate them again after a long time, they were surprisingly delicious. How many years has it been since then? Were they this sweet? The kelp fibers have decreased, making it look like a lump of white bean paste. Looking at the product list on the website, it looks like something familiar. Maybe it's similar to Hokkaido Chocolate Jagacky, which looks delicious. It seems they also sell cakes and cream puffs in the store. Thank you for the meal.

This is a gift from Wakasaimo Honpo, delicious manju. It is made with Hokkaido flour, Tokachi red beans, and black sugar. The filling inside is moist with a good texture and just the right amount of sweetness. My family's reaction was very positive. I wasn't very interested in manju at first, but I ended up eating a whole one without realizing it. The wheat used in the skin seems to be high-quality Hokkaido wheat, giving it a nice fragrance. The soy sauce balance was perfect, making it taste delicious. I prefer a slightly chewier texture in the skin, but overall, it was enjoyable. I tried eating it with tea, but I personally think it goes better with milk. I might like it more than sweet potatoes. I would love to try it again. ★★★ Next time on Wakasaimo Honpo's delicious manju, how about it?
