●2023/01/02/MON #001 ★ Shin Gozen Soba Shojikiya Aeon Noboribetsu Store @Soy Sauce Ramen ¥830 The first ramen of the year! Even though it's only the 2nd day, the Aeon Noboribetsu store was bustling with activity. We decided to visit because it seemed like a place where a large group could dine together. This restaurant mainly focuses on soba, but I, being myself, ended up ordering ramen. The "Soy Sauce Ramen" was... well, just normal. There wasn't much else to say about it. It didn't even have the seaweed stem that was shown in the menu photo. However, there are probably customers who appreciate this simplicity, so I think it's fine. Thank you for the meal!

Tempura is really delicious. When you dip it in the soba broth until it's soaked, the flavor of the tempura really comes out and it's delicious! I tried chicken curry seiro for the first time, but when you add soba broth to it, it tastes like a fake soup curry. However, I still prefer to drink the soba broth normally. Maybe it was because I was waiting for the tempura, but the soba in the seiro was slightly overcooked and disappointing.

Cold tempura grated soba?? Maybe I'm wrong... Tempura is usually made with finely chopped onions and shrimp. This tempura had larger pieces of shrimp, giving it a stronger presence. It wasn't too heavy and was easy to eat! The grated daikon radish and seaweed added a refreshing touch, so I didn't get tired of it. I feel like ordering it again!

Located on the first floor of Aeon Noboribetsu in the Noboribetsu area, this soba restaurant was where I had dinner while on a business trip to Muroran. The interior had many table seats and was quite spacious. It was bustling with families who seemed to have come after shopping. Although it is a soba restaurant, there were also options like hamburgers and ramen in addition to soba and rice bowl sets, making it difficult to decide. I decided to try the limited-time offer of Sukiyaki Don Set (720 yen) with cold soba. I ordered directly from the staff, but the dishes were brought to me by a cat-shaped serving robot. The soba was white in color with a subtle soba fragrance, and the taste of the dipping sauce made me feel like I was eating somen noodles. The Sukiyaki Don was delicious and had a decent portion, making it worth the price. With its convenient location and diverse menu, this restaurant is a great place to visit when you're in the mood for something to eat.

There are a variety of soba, udon, and ramen dishes available, along with monthly specials and new limited-time menu items at the entertainment-style soba restaurant, "Shojikiya". The newly introduced Kakiage Shio Ramen in March 2022 is delicious, and the serving cat robot is cute and clever. It also comes with a free voucher for a mini onigiri, making it a great deal. Reordering is a must!

On January 5, 2022, at the familiar "Shin Gozen Soba Shojikiya" in Noboribetsu AEON, I enjoyed a mini seafood bowl set with cold soba noodles as part of their New Year's gratitude fair, just like last year! It came with a free squid tempura voucher and a side salad, and I was very satisfied with the quality and quantity! However, the most surprising thing of the day was... an unfamiliar voice? "I have brought your dish, meow"?! A cat-shaped serving robot brought the dishes to our table! While I have seen the type that takes orders at places like Hamazushi, it was my first time experiencing a robot serving dishes! I felt the digitalization of the era even at my familiar soba restaurant...

"I read your blog! (ﾟ∀ﾟ)" On a certain day in October 2021, I received a happy comment from a familiar female staff member at the【Shinmisenzan Soba Shojikiya】at Noboribetsu AEON! The set meals here are quite fulfilling and the menu is rich (my friend spent 20 minutes deciding, haha). The ramen is also very delicious, and they entertain us with various fairs every month. Last month was the dipping soba fair, and I ordered the seiro twice ✌️ This month is the "Autumn Tempura & Kakiage Fair," and I used a free ticket to order the kakiage donburi with cold soba, adding squid tempura - it was very fulfilling and satisfying!"

The area around Noboribetsu doesn't have any particular specialty, so I ended up choosing Honestya inside Aeon as my last resort. The menu was extensive, and they had set meals, but since Hokkaido is known for its soba noodles, I decided to go for the "Greedy Set" for ¥970. The Greedy Set came with cold noodles for two people, warm chicken dipping sauce, and cold dipping sauce. It arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering. The portion size was impressive, just as expected for two people. I tried the warm dipping sauce first and found the noodles slightly soft, but when I tried the cold dipping sauce, the thin noodles had a nice chewiness to them and were quite delicious. I alternated between the soft and chewy noodles and before I knew it, I had finished the whole dish. Despite going in reluctantly, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was.

In September 2023, at the "Shojikiya" restaurant in the Date Aeon Mall, I tried the Chicken Curry Seiro from the Soba Fair for 900 yen, which came with a complimentary onigiri. The curry was spicy and delicious.

The tempura is large, but it's not too heavy to eat because there is grated daikon radish on top. I'm happy because there aren't many soba restaurants around here that make tempura.
