It's really delicious!! My companion prefers salt ramen, but I always go for soy sauce ramen. I've only tried the soy sauce ramen at this shop, but my companion chose salt ramen and it was also delicious. The soup base with rich flavors is really tasty.

Part of the store, signs, and banners have been renewed. The noodle texture and soup richness were at their best today! I also like Muroran ramen curry ramen, but I hope the shoyu ramen from Nakiyoshi-san will become a specialty of Muroran.

On a cold night, I wanted something warm to eat and decided to try the soy sauce ramen and soy sauce chashu ramen at this restaurant. The chairs are new and more comfortable, and the outside sign is impressive. The interior remains the same as always. The chashu seemed thicker than usual, and there was more noodles. I recommend the Muroran soy sauce ramen at this place.

At the west exit of Higashi-Muroran Station, I tried the fourth ramen shop "Nakayoshi" in the city. Each shop has a slightly different taste, so I was looking forward to it. The classic exterior has a Showa-era charm. The interior of the shop is like a traditional ramen shop from the Showa era. Some shops offer wonton ramen, but not here. I ordered the Muroran Black "shoyu" ramen (700 yen). It arrived in 4 minutes. The noodles are medium-thin and curly, probably common to all shops. The soup has a mild acidity, and the blackish broth is not as salty as it looks, with a refreshing umami flavor from a blend of animal and kelp. The chashu is a bit salty but flavorful. The taste is not boring and it's easy to see why it has been loved in Muroran for a long time.

Nakayoshi ramen shops each have their own unique characteristics, but for me, it's this soy sauce ramen!! The noodles from Nakayoshi are on the softer side, but they are delicious!! The chashu is tender and you can really taste the quality of the meat in the simmered broth!! It's not too salty, which is also great!! The restaurant may be old, but I highly recommend trying the soy sauce ramen in Muroran!!

[First Visit on January 26, 2022] On the 3rd day of my 3-night, 4-day business trip to Muroran, I finished my on-site work without a lunch break once again. After completing the cleanup and sending a fax at a convenience store, it was already past 1:00 PM. Muroran is known for its Muroran Curry Ramen (originally from Tomakomai), which is promoted as a local specialty with support from the city and tourism association. According to Wikipedia, about 60% of ramen shops in the Muroran area, including Muroran City, Noboribetsu City, Date City, and Toyako Town, offer Curry Ramen. However, I was in the mood for regular ramen (soy sauce, miso, salt) today, so I searched for "Nearby Ramen Shop" on my smartphone using Ok Google and found a place that seemed to serve delicious traditional soy sauce ramen. I decided to visit "Ramen Nakiyoshi Nishiguchi Store" for the first time. I ordered "Soy Sauce Ramen (700 yen including tax)" and "Small Rice (150 yen including tax)." The retro Showa-style interior of the shop had only L-shaped counter seats, with many autographs of celebrities and professional athletes on the walls. The appearance of the ramen served in about 5 minutes was a very dark-colored soup, known as Muroran Black, but it had a light and not too salty taste with a moderate amount of fat. The medium-thin curly noodles, pork belly chashu, and menma were all delicious. Thank you for the meal. A ramen shop located very close to JR Higashi-Muroran Station. I visited for dinner during a business trip to Muroran. I have tried Nakayoshi's ramen at several shops in Muroran before, but this was my first visit here. There are a few parking spaces next to the shop. The interior is small with only counter seats, giving off a Showa era atmosphere. The menu is simple, with only three basic flavors and a chashu ramen option, without the mix option found at other shops. The top of the menu was "miso", but I personally prefer shoyu at Nakayoshi, so I ordered the "shoyu ramen (700 yen)" this time. It was ready in about 6 minutes. The soup looks dark so it may seem rich, but it actually has a light taste with a Japanese-style dashi flavor. The medium-thin, low-water content noodles paired well with it and I found it delicious, but for me, they were a bit too soft, so I would like to order them firmer next time. If you prefer modern rich ramen, this might not be satisfying, but as a middle-aged person, I found it to be a delicious ramen with just the right balance. I still have opportunities to come to the Muroran area, so I would like to try and compare different shops in the future.

I came to Muroran for work... I am actually from Muroran, and my parents still live in the city, but I am not a very filial son and only visit during the Bon Festival, New Year, and Golden Week. I used to eat at a ramen shop called "Nakayoshi" a lot when I was a child. This is my first time visiting the Nishiguchi branch. There was a grumpy man in the kitchen, no other customers during lunchtime, so I sat at the counter and ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 650 yen. I waited while watching TV. It was served in 5 minutes with pork belly chashu, menma, and green onions, just like it used to be. The soup had a rich, rounded flavor that hasn't changed since the old days... at least, I think so. It's been decades since I last had it, so I can't say for sure. The noodles were medium-thick and curly... I should have ordered them firm, which would have suited my taste better. This local ramen shop has been around for decades, but overall, there's nothing particularly special about it... However, this taste, along with the "Kogane's Katsudon," is something essential in this town... and it made me realize that. By the way, I used to eat the shoyu ramen the most, but I also liked the miso flavor... I'll try the miso next time. Thank you for the meal.

On the day before my mother's surgery, I took a JR train from Sapporo to Higashi-Muroran to hear more details from the doctor. The journey was only about an hour and a half, but even a slight vibration still affected my back pain. So, I had some anesthesia-like thing injected into my body. Before hearing from the doctor, I decided to fill my stomach first. I visited a childhood favorite spot, Nakayoshi Nishiguchi branch. It was empty with no other customers, but I remember it used to be quite popular at lunchtime. For me, Nakayoshi equals Shoyu Ramen, so I ordered the Shoyu Ramen without hesitation. The style was just the same as always. The difference between this branch and the Nakajima branch is the clarity of the soup. The Nakajima branch's Shoyu Ramen has less cloudiness, resulting in a more direct taste of the soy sauce flavor. The noodles were the classic Muroran style - thin, low hydration, and slightly wavy, providing a satisfying slurping experience. The three slices of pork belly chashu were also a signature touch of Nakayoshi. Despite the lack of volume, the price of 650 yen for a bowl was reasonable. Now that my stomach had room for more, I thought about visiting another place. Thank you for the meal.

This is in Muroran. I searched for ramen near the station. Excluded Aji no Daiou as I planned to eat it the next day. I decided to go to Nakyoshi, which came up in the search results. Walking around the station, I saw several ramen shops. I wish I had come without searching... but it's too late now. I arrived at Nakyoshi, located in a slightly dark alley. I thought there was no parking, so I walked there, but it seems there is a small parking lot next to the shop. I entered the shop and seated myself as there was no specific guidance. I think there were only counter seats. The menu was displayed prominently on the front wall. The recommended mix on Tabelog was not available. When my friend asked if we could have a mix, the answer was yes. I ordered a mix (shoyu and salt) ramen, shoyu ramen, and if there were gyoza, I would have ordered gyoza as well, but there was no gyoza on the menu. Maybe it's just ramen (and rice) here. The mix was just right for my friend who likes lightly flavored thin noodles. I still preferred the shoyu flavor. I can't remember what the char siu was like... Overall, it was refreshing. It felt a bit lacking for me. It might be good when you want a light, refreshing shoyu flavor.

This time, I felt like the chashu was a bit less flavorful than usual. However, I decided to add some spicy condiment to the soy sauce ramen here for a flavor boost. Just a little bit added a spicy and delicious kick to the ramen, with the aroma of sesame oil. For those who like spicy food, definitely give it a try!

I feel like I'm the only one, but the soup seems more delicious than last year. When I come to this place, I always order the Char Siu Ramen. It's not as rich as it looks, more on the light side.

The store opened at 12 o'clock. It had a quaint exterior with a menu board outside that had faded prices and a weathered look. Inside, there was an L-shaped counter with 12 seats, and it seemed to be run by a husband and wife. They didn't particularly greet customers, but the atmosphere was laid-back. I ordered a soy sauce ramen (650 yen) in a slightly loud voice, and the master responded promptly. The ramen arrived in less than 5 minutes. The soy sauce soup was rich and reminded me of Toyama Black ramen. The ramen had thin slices of chashu, shinchiku, and green onions, with straight noodles that soaked up the soup well. The soup wasn't overly salty and had a delicious flavor. The noodles had a good texture and paired well with the soup. Although the portion size was a bit small, the quality of the ramen was high. As I was leaving, the lady who seemed to be the owner returned with a large package. She wished me well and I thanked her for the delicious meal.

I visited this ramen chain restaurant for lunch on a regular day. It is located in the Muroran and Iburi area. The restaurant has a counter with only 12 seats, giving it a typical ramen shop atmosphere. There are many signs displayed inside the restaurant. The parking lot is located next to the shop. The background music playing is from the TV. The staff seemed to be a couple. The customers were mostly working people and regulars. The food was served in under 5 minutes. I had the miso ramen for 650 yen. The noodles were homemade thin straight noodles with low water content. The toppings included green onions, bamboo shoots, chashu pork, white sesame seeds, keeping it simple. The soup was light and slightly sweet and salty. It had a modest taste, fitting the concept of the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.
