Visited on Sunday, February 28, 2021, around 8:00 PM. This time, I went to Tomakomai with a walking free pass, then stopped by Sapporo, and had dinner at Triton in Ebetsu. It was quite a journey with a heavy travel distance. I thoroughly enjoyed a solo train trip and walked about 16 kilometers that day, exceeding 20,000 steps. It was a healthy day! The volume of the seafood bowl for lunch was impressive, so I was considering having Genghis Khan around Susukino for the first time in a while. However, I decided to take a train from Sapporo and get off at Takasago Station. It was an unmanned station, and Triton was about a 10-minute walk from there. Ebetsu had a surprisingly large amount of snow compared to Otaru! I'm about 180 centimeters tall, but the snow was piled up so high that I had to look up to see the sky. Triton Ebetsu is located along the national highway, and most people visit by car. It was quite rare for someone like me to walk through the quiet residential area from Takasago Station. On Sunday around 8:00 PM, the restaurant was full. I had to wait behind two groups of three people. As rumored, it was very busy! As a fan of conveyor belt sushi, it didn't make sense not to go to Triton while staying in Hokkaido. The restaurant had a U-shaped counter, table seats, and maybe private rooms. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was finally seated at the counter. I was asked about the soup, and I chose scallop miso soup for ¥280. There was also crab soup, but it was sold out. I ordered various dishes using the touch panel: Mayonnaise Corn (¥120), Sweet Shrimp (¥160), Salmon, Whelk, Squid, Mackerel, Seafood Bomb Battleship (¥190), Engawa (¥240). The total bill was ¥1,925 for 8 dishes and scallop miso soup. Visiting at 8:00 PM on a Sunday was a bad timing as about half of the menu items were sold out. The popular dishes were sold out like crazy! This calls for a rematch. The freshness of the ingredients was somewhat reduced, so I think they would be much tastier if eaten first thing in the morning. Well, this time I just had a quick taste and finished. Fresh and local ingredients are likely to sell out early. There are several Triton stores near Sapporo, so I feel like I want to conquer them all, but it seems like a high hurdle. It's highly likely that it won't be the Ebetsu store, but I hope to be able to post a Triton performance at an early hour soon!
