After refraining from food logging for over 3 weeks, I realized that I really enjoy going out to eat. Just posting reviews is so boring! Oh, it's not fun at all!! I planned to have a day of day drinking at Shitsugen in Kushiro, then go home. I had delicious ramen, then came to MOO for the food stalls. Surprisingly, only two places were open. I quickly gave up and ended up having a beer at a cafe, my first one today. I went downstairs alone to "Shitsugen" and "Ajiman Teuchi Soba," which I had never felt like entering before because the banners looked suspicious. But my wife said, "It says hand-made." So, since there were two of us, we decided to go in. When we ordered two beers, they came in small mugs, but apparently, they were pouring canned beer. Honestly, it's good. It's reassuring to have canned beer, right? The owner was interesting. The first dish was egg omelet, which was nice. The portion size was a bit awkward. When we sat down, suddenly more customers came in, so we ordered Mori (a set meal). The soba had a decent flavor and taste. The noodles were long and thin, and there were some short ones left at the end. The texture was okay, but the water drainage was too sweet. Overall, it was pretty good soba. They can boast about being hand-made, and it's excellent soba in Kushiro. It wouldn't work in other cities, though. I'm lying; I would say that in other cities. The sweetness of the water drainage was too much, and there was too much soup. The owner was funny, so when I said, "There's too much soup," she relayed it to the kitchen. I don't know what she told them, but the kitchen got excited. Still, it was good to hear laughter. The broth lacked a strong dashi flavor; maybe it was made with kelp. It seemed to have a weak bonito flavor. The broth is suitable for everyone, but I have no complaints. The soba-yu was kettle-boiled, and I poured it into the soup and enjoyed it. They served chopped kelp with the soba, saying, "We're kelp fishermen, so we have plenty." My wife said it was delicious, and they added more as a service. They can only use spring kelp, apparently. They also gave us an additional tamagoyaki. It was a cozy and enjoyable place. It was fun.
