I had lunch at Matsusan on the 12th floor of the hotel. I ordered mapo tofu, which has nothing to do with Hokkaido. Surprisingly, it came with extra hot spring rolls, soup, pickled vegetables, and rice. I also got to taste the katsudon made with Tokachi pork, and it was delicious with tender meat.

After a 13-year absence, I visited Furano again and was impressed by "Furano Shizenjuku." Before heading there, I had lunch at "Washoku Karamatsu" on the top floor (12th floor) of New Furano Prince Hotel. The view of the Tokachi Mountain Range from the window is spectacular. Despite being a "Japanese cuisine" restaurant, they offer a mix of Japanese and Western lunch menus. The mini bowl of salmon and ikura with vegetables and pork was delicious. It came with miso soup, pickles, and dessert. It was satisfying enough for me on the second day of my stay in Hokkaido, but it might be a bit lacking if you're not feeling too full. Having a meal while gazing at the Tokachi Mountain Range, I head to the next destination in a great mood.

In Nakafurano Town, the "Mapo Tofu Set Meal" made with tofu from Otsuka Tofu Shop was delicious. Unfortunately, today is the last day of Otsuka Tofu Shop's business, so we won't be able to enjoy it anymore. The Sichuan Mapo Tofu was very popular and truly delicious. The Crab Cream Tomato Spaghetti was also delicious as always.

I ordered the Matsukaze course. I stayed at the New Furano Prince Hotel, and originally planned to have dinner outside the hotel, but it got dark unexpectedly early and it was too tiring to go down to the town, so I decided to eat at the hotel. When I placed my order, I asked for mushrooms (which I don't like) and salmon roe to be served separately, and they kindly accommodated my sudden request. Personally, I thought the steamed dish in a pot was the most delicious. They also gave us a seat by the window with a view of the town, and I felt that the service was very attentive.

From Asahikawa, heading towards Furano on Route 237, you will see the New Furano Prince Hotel right in front of you after passing Upper Furano. Designed by the discerning man, Kiyotaka Kiyie, it is said to resemble a UFO landing in the forest. Arriving on the 12th floor, the appetizers include a cheese dish with sea urchin, duck, and dried fruits, which is delicious. The shrimp soup, assorted sashimi, and grilled dish are standout items and very tasty. The fried dish features premium pork from the renowned Kamifura brand, which is also delicious. The clam and mushroom mixed rice, topped with sea urchin and salmon roe, is a delightful combination that whets the appetite. After filling up, the sweet white bean soup with rice cakes is a satisfying finish. The beer served is "Sorachi Ace," which was launched nationwide this year and is known for its strong aroma and refreshing bitterness. It was born in Upper Furano 35 years ago but was not initially popular due to its strong scent. However, it gained recognition in the United States and is now being appreciated. It is a luxurious experience to enjoy this aromatic and crisp beer on tap here. When ordering Furano grape juice, you may notice that the straw is made of paper, showing an eco-friendly touch. Overall, the meal was both satisfying and full of interesting points. Thank you for the enjoyable dining experience.

I had the Matsukaze course for 7200 yen at the restaurant "Matsu" on the 12th floor of New Furano Prince Hotel. The meal included appetizers, soup, sashimi, and more, all of which were delicious, including the seafood despite being surrounded by mountains. In addition to the food, there is a wide selection of Hokkaido sake and Furano wine on the drink menu. I regret not ordering the recommended sake "Asagi" in a bottle, as it had a refreshing taste with a dry finish that I personally enjoyed. I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal while admiring the night view of Furano.

This time, my parents wanted to have a kaiseki meal at the Prince Hotel's Japanese restaurant, so we went there. The dishes, tableware, and presentation at the Prince Hotel Japanese restaurant really exuded a sense of luxury. My parents enjoyed all the dishes, but they especially loved the shrimp steamed soup which had a light and gentle flavor, the standout grilled dish cooked with white wine for a unique taste, and the vegetable pickles which were to their liking. The attentive service from the staff and the beautiful winter night view of Furano made the dining experience even more satisfying.

Located on the 12th floor of New Furano Prince Hotel, this Japanese restaurant offers a seasonal sushi counter that is only available for a limited time. I made a reservation for a weekday evening and ordered unique items that I can't find in my hometown, such as hakkaku. It was a shame that they didn't have kinmedai. The sushi counter is only open when there is a skilled chef available. I had a great time chatting with the chef and enjoying the experience. They served a Japanese sake called "Kokushi Musou," which is not commonly found in stores and is only available at restaurants. It was quite rich and extremely dry.

Ordered the popular tempura bowl, but it felt like it was made after I ordered it. The tempura had thick, puffy batter and lacked crispiness. It felt like I was eating pre-fried tempura. Maybe it was because it was busy? Hoping for better next time.

I stayed at New Furano Prince Hotel on New Year's Eve and had dinner there. I originally wanted to reserve a sushi bar like last year, but it was fully booked. I ended up having a kaiseki meal. The shrimp and yam dish left a lasting impression.

I stayed at this restaurant for multiple nights during a skiing trip. I enjoyed dishes such as appetizers, sashimi, mashed potatoes, grilled dishes, side dishes, shabu-shabu, mixed rice, and dessert. The food was elegant and the atmosphere was relaxing. I also had some local sake from Asahikawa. It's recommended to make a reservation when the restaurant is busy.

Located on the top floor (12th floor) of the New Furano Prince Hotel, the Japanese restaurant "Karamatsu" offers a stunning view of Mt. Tokachi and other mountains. The restaurant has a spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The menu mainly consists of Japanese course meals, with a few a la carte options available. Most people opt for the set course meal, which is quite affordable. We chose the basic course meal for adults and also ordered recommended items a la carte, such as asparagus prepared in various ways. The quality of the food was excellent, with highlights including corn appetizer, salmon sashimi, and grilled salmon with butterbur sprouts. Being in Hokkaido, we enjoyed dishes featuring salmon, such as the chilled tea-steamed egg custard with salmon roe and grilled salmon with wood sorrel. The main dish, shabu-shabu made with premium Furano pork, was tender and delicious. The scallop rice with salmon roe was a standout, and the dessert made with Furano melon was soft and flavorful. Overall, the dinner exceeded our expectations in terms of taste and quality, likely due to the hotel's influence.

Normally, I have a habit of eating to my heart's content at buffets, but this time, I was on a solo trip around Hokkaido with a rented car, meeting up with friends along the way. I wanted to ski at Furano Ski Resort, which I had never done alone before, so I decided to treat myself a little at this Prince hotel by choosing a slightly more expensive restaurant during my stay. The restaurant was quite empty due to its higher prices. The taste was decent, nothing particularly special, and I think it was fair for the price. It might be a bit lacking for men. I ordered the Japanese-style course meal for 6000 yen. But it was nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely meal.

Located on the top floor of New Furano Prince Hotel, this Japanese restaurant offers a stunning view of the Furano Basin from its windows. At night, the town's night view is beautiful. The interior lighting is subdued, creating a calm atmosphere. I ordered the 3500 yen course dinner, which included a salad made with local vegetables, soup, fried dishes, and grilled dishes. It was a great value considering the local produce used. The food was delicious, and combined with a refreshing beer, I had a very enjoyable dining experience. The staff's service was also top-notch. It was a great experience.

The Japanese restaurant on the top floor of the New Furano Prince Hotel. I visited at a time close to closing, and the floor was quiet with few customers. I feel like if it were a Prince Hotel in the capital, the service would be better. Despite there being window seats with a nice night view available, we were seated in the middle of the floor. I wonder why? The food service was quite sloppy, surprising me. Dishes were brought from all directions, making me wonder if it was okay. However, the explanations of the dishes were smooth and the staff had a nice smile. It's a shame it fell short. I ordered the Colorful Bento Box (4700 yen). The most delicious dish was the Corn Soup, which was a cold corn soup with a nice flavor. Dishes like this that bring out the natural flavor of the vegetables are really delicious. The Grilled Dish, a combination of salmon and scallops with soy sauce seasoning, was just right. It had a good flavor that went well even without rice. The other dishes didn't leave a strong impression, but there was nothing strange, so it was reassuring. Nevertheless, I wish they would make more effort in service (presentation skills and manners) and in terms of value for money. It stood out to me especially because the front desk and bellboy were very professional.

I enjoyed a 3500 yen course meal at a hotel without making a reservation. The meal included marinated salmon, ikura, scallops, and other Hokkaido specialties, as well as grilled saury skewers. The finale was a delicious salmon and kelp rice dish. The food was elegant and the price was reasonable. The interior was simple, and while you could see the night view of Furano, the reflection of the lights made it hard to see clearly. I recommend staying at a budget accommodation and dining at Prince Hotel for a satisfying experience in Furano.

Located on the 12th floor of New Furano Prince Hotel, you can overlook the city and enjoy the night view. It was crowded with ski tour guests, but the atmosphere was not great. With fewer employees, the service was not the best. We had meal coupons, so the meal cost was equivalent to 4500 yen. Considering it as a hotel dinner, it was reasonably priced and the food had a Hokkaido touch. Since we were hungry, the food tasted delicious. Although there were some complaints, we were able to enjoy our meal in a good mood.
