Today, even though it's a weekday, I took a day off from work. I decided to take my beloved dog for a walk along the seaside, which made my dog very happy. I'm not really an outdoorsy person, and I never went to the beach when I was young, nor did I take my son. I feel guilty about that, so I make sure to take my dog out for walks.
I came across a shop called "Aiload Yuhigaoka Main Store" located along the Orolon Line. It had a convenience store-like exterior, but the inside was filled with a variety of local specialties from Atsuta. They even had Atsuta craft beer, which I love even though I don't usually drink beer. I bought some Atsuta tofu, Atsuta kombu, and was surprised to find some shiitake mushrooms that were considered "irregular" in size. They were big, thick, and looked delicious when grilled. I didn't buy them this time, but I heard they are famous for their handmade dorayaki.
When I got home, I prepared for a relaxing evening with some beer. The Atsuta craft beer was enjoyable, with the red label being easy to drink and the white label having a bit more flavor. I'm not a beer expert, but I found them both delicious. The shiitake mushrooms were fresh and plentiful, and they tasted great when grilled. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

When I searched on Google, the name "Sellers Tohmen Danchi Store" or "Variety Shop Abe" came up, but I wonder if the store names have changed? I went for a drive to Atsuta. Along National Route 231 in the Nijigahara district. The flags were fluttering in the wind and stood out. I was always curious every time I passed by the store. It's a very ordinary old-fashioned store, but it's being promoted in a flashy way. Costco World. This has quite an impact. I'm very interested. Inside the store, there was a recommendation for Iburi-gakko. Costco World? There are some Costco products here and there, but it's not as diverse as advertised. It's more like a select shop run by the store owner, a true variety shop. It seems difficult to buy all the food and daily necessities like in a typical supermarket. They sell tofu and thick fried tofu from Meio Tofu Shop. I also saw them being sold at the Atsuta Michi-no-Eki I visited earlier, but they were sold out. There is a limit of 2 pieces per person for the thick fried tofu, but I purchase 2 pieces of tofu and thick fried tofu. Tofu @398, Thick Fried Tofu @216 x 2 *Including tax. When I looked at the reviews of Meio Tofu Shop, it seems to be popular and sells out quickly, so I was lucky to be able to purchase them at this store when I casually stopped by in the early afternoon. I will have the tofu as cold tofu. It's a firm cotton tofu. I regret not making something like fried tofu with about half of it. I will try grilling the thick fried tofu as it is. It has a thick texture, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I understand why this is popular, it's delicious. I would like to visit this store again. Thank you for the meal.
