Daily lunch box for 500 yen. The amount of rice was more than the side dishes, which were a bit lacking, with furikake topping. I ended up with leftover rice. The main dishes were curry, fried rice, and something like a Chinese rice bowl. The taste was average. On the table, there were soy sauce, squid soy sauce, disposable chopsticks, and paper napkins. The service was decent.

On a regular weekday at 1:30 pm, I was looking for a place nearby where I could quickly grab a meal and kill some time for about 30 minutes. I wasn't feeling very hungry, so I just wanted something light. The restaurant had a spacious interior with window seats occupied by older gentlemen and cozy sofa seats. The server quickly brought me water and asked if I had decided on my order. Feeling unsure, I asked for recommendations. They mentioned options like omurice and curry rice, but I felt like having soba. I ended up ordering the soba udon bento, which was part of the daily special and came with a generous portion. The side dishes had a gentle, slightly sweet flavor, so I added some soy sauce to my rice. For dessert, I ordered an iced coffee for 120 yen. It arrived in less than 10 minutes and had a typical paper-packaged taste. Despite some annoying bugs flying in due to the open door, the total bill came to 670 yen. Overall, the meal was satisfying and a good way to pass the time. The staff was friendly and pleasant. Thank you for the meal.

Today was my long-awaited salon IG lunch. I was quite hungry since morning, so I decided to order the curry with pork cutlet after a long time. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, but it took about 15 minutes from ordering to serving. 15 minutes when you're hungry is quite tough... but the curry looked as delicious as ever. It's filled with plenty of vegetables and meat, and I really love the curry here. The freshly fried thick pork cutlet also had a generous portion, so even though I was hungry, I felt really satisfied after eating. Next time, I'll go for just the curry rice!

I had some business to take care of at the ironworks industrial park in Hassamu, so I decided to stop by. It seems like I had visited this place a long time ago... Across from this facility is where my father used to work, and back then, the building looked quite new and clean. It's around 11:30 AM and the place is empty. The parking lot is also empty... However, the building itself seems a bit neglected, giving off a slightly run-down vibe. Looking at the old photos on the website, memories from back then start to come to mind. In contrast, the current state of the place seems like it could use better cleaning and maintenance... The cafeteria also looks a bit worn out. I assume this facility is here to promote local industry, but it feels a bit lonely. As for the food, I ordered the omurice with a large serving. It cost ¥640 in total, which is quite reasonable. The dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. The large serving is indeed big, although the presentation is not the best, the portion size is noticeable. The taste is simple yet delicious, not too extravagant but it brings a sense of nostalgia. It almost feels like a time slip back to half a century ago when eating this dish... Sometimes having lunch at a place like this is not a bad idea.

Recently, I feel like I've been eating out at restaurants more often, especially at salon IG. Today, after finishing a meeting with a good contact at a client's office, I stopped by a restaurant. I wanted to try a variety of items on the menu, so I ordered yakisoba with a salmon onigiri while sticking to a "carbohydrate limit" today. When it was brought to me, I was surprised to see that the onigiri was much bigger than I expected, and I immediately regretted my choice. It was a huge portion, like something you might see at a convenience store, which I never expected to eat. On the other hand, the yakisoba looked very delicious with plenty of vegetables. The noodles had a satisfying chewiness and were cooked just the way I like them. The sauce was well balanced and the flavor was very well rounded.

Today, after finishing a meeting in Hassamu, I visited Salon IG with our business partner. I was impressed by the cost performance last time, so I wanted to try something different this time. However, the tonkatsu curry I had last time was so filling that I couldn't work properly in the afternoon, so this time I decided to go easy on the rice. I ordered the curry soba bento that caught my eye. It came with a daily special set meal with a choice of mini curry soba or udon. It was a bit different from what I imagined, but the rice was just the way I like it, firm, and the taste was even better until the end. Since I ordered less rice this time, I feel satisfied but not overly full, so I can tackle my afternoon work with ease. I also enjoyed the 120 yen iced coffee that is only available when you order a meal, adding to the high cost performance of the lunch today.

I finished a meeting with a client before noon and was quite hungry, so I decided to stop by Salon IG, which I had been curious about for a while. It is located on the first floor of the Center Building in Sapporo Tekko Danchi. The interior of the shop feels more like a company cafeteria than a café. Around noon, many people come alone from nearby companies. There is a high percentage of men here. Since it was my first time visiting today, I played it safe and ordered the pork cutlet curry. I could hear the sound of the cutlets being fried after I placed my order. It was nice. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. It felt like I was meeting THE curry rice after a long time. It was a curry with plenty of onions and carrots, just like the one made at home. The curry looked delicious with the sweetness of the vegetables. It wasn't too spicy, but it had a rich umami flavor, making it one of my favorite curries. And the portion size was decent, especially considering the low price. If you order lunch, you can have coffee for just 120 yen afterwards! The pricing feels like it's from the Showa era! Such restaurants are important. There seem to be more menu items that need to be discovered, so I decided to visit again for a while.

Today is a rare weekday off, just taking a compensatory day off. On days like this, I choose to visit a restaurant that is only open on weekdays. This restaurant is located in the joint union building of the ironworks industrial park in Nishi Ward, Hassamu. It's open for public use as well. I was the first customer as they had just opened. There were only 4 other customers after me, so it's not crowded at all. I had my eye on the daily bento with a mini soba set. The daily bento is priced at 480 yen, and adding the mini soba set costs an additional 70 yen, totaling 550 yen. It's a great deal. The bento included a sunny-side-up egg, tempura of some kind, spring roll, simmered saury, potato salad, Chinjao Rosu (stir-fried pork and green peppers), shredded cabbage, and white rice. The side dishes were lightly seasoned, so I added some soy sauce from the sealed bottle on the table. The portion of rice was generous. Considering it's only 480 yen, I am very satisfied. The mini soba was a half portion and tasted delicious. For just 70 yen, I have no complaints. I am satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

In November 2019, I had some errands to run in a remote area, so I focused my energy on finding a good place for lunch. Among the many options, I was drawn to a particular place that seemed to have a magical charm. I was convinced that this place was the real deal! Excited, I followed Google Maps and arrived at the entrance of a place called "Salon IG." The entrance was next to a mysterious greenhouse-like structure, and the sign outside advertised a daily bento box for 480 yen. I entered through a door that resembled an office rather than a restaurant and found myself in a peculiar space. The place was bustling with customers, each enjoying their own time. I was greeted by a waitress and seated at a table by the window. I ordered the "large portion of katsudon" for 630 yen, with an additional 60 yen for extra rice, and requested a hot coffee for an extra 100 yen. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. After a short wait, my meal arrived with katsudon, miso soup, pickles, and a spoon. The katsudon was unique, topped with soft onions, and the rice was just the right amount of stickiness. The meat was well-balanced with the egg, and the hot miso soup complemented the meal perfectly. I was able to enjoy the meal easily with the spoon provided. As I leisurely read a book during my day off, my coffee arrived right on time. It was well-brewed and not too acidic. I savored the coffee while engrossed in my book. The total bill came to 790 yen, a great deal for the unique atmosphere and satisfying meal. Some may find the place unconventional, but I, for one, would definitely visit again if I'm in the area. Salon IG, thank you for the wonderful experience!

One day for lunch near Hassamu Tekko-danchi, due to work constraints, I couldn't go too far. I saw a cafe inside Hassamu Driving School in a review by Mairebi-san, but decided against it as I might just have coffee there later. Around a little past 11 at the "Saron" inside the shared facility Sapporo Danchi Tekko Center, there was only one customer ahead of me. The atmosphere of the restaurant was old-fashioned. I sat at a table towards the back and pondered over the menu. The daily special set meal was 450 yen (◎_◎;). Can you believe such a price still exists nowadays?? I wasn't feeling it and ended up ordering the Omurice for 550 yen. It was served in 8 minutes. The beautifully presented Omurice had a slightly generous portion. The rice was lightly flavored ketchup rice. It would have been nice if it had a bit more butter, but considering the price, it was understandable. The miso soup served with Wakame and fried ingredients was lightly seasoned, which personally I appreciated. I thought of going for coffee afterwards, but my plans changed and I had no time. Thank you for the meal. *Smoking allowed throughout the premises.

I got hungry before noon, so I went to this restaurant that opens at 11 o'clock. It's located on the first floor of the Hakkōn Ironworks Industrial Center. I found it on Tabelog, but you probably wouldn't know about it unless you work nearby or live in the area. I parked in the parking lot on the right side of the building. As soon as I entered the center, I saw the entrance on the right. There were daily specials displayed at the entrance. The atmosphere seemed kind of fun, but also a bit strange. The restaurant mainly had tables for 4 people and 2 people. Since it was my first visit, I ordered the soba set meal for 500 yen, which seemed like a good deal. It didn't take long for the food to be served. I got a small bowl of warm soba and a daily bento box. I would say it was average. The soba dipping sauce was on the salty side, and the noodles were okay. The croquette was half-sized, and the small shrimp tempura was cold, probably pre-fried. The other side dishes were also average. The small miso-marinated mackerel was the highlight. The rice was delicious. Overall, the evaluation is a bit mixed, but considering the price, it was satisfying.

IG Salon in Hassamu, Nishi-ku, Sapporo! Visited during lunchtime! The interior of the shop was quite crowded with people in work clothes enjoying their lunch break. Couldn't decide between omurice or katsu curry, so ended up choosing the soba bento! The soba was not authentic but more like boiled noodles for standing eating, which I quite like. The bento had tempura, omelette, simmered dish, salad, and more, although it was hard to distinguish the main dish. The variety of items was impressive and satisfying, especially considering it was affordable. Thank you for the delicious meal!

A shop in Sapporo Nishi Ward, Hassamu - IG Salon! 2nd visit! Reasonable & generous portions σ(^_^;) This time, it's a soba bento! A bento set with a main dish like in the top division and soba (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) I'm not sure what the main dish is, but it's delicious and you can eat a different bento every day. Tanuki soba with a stand-up eating style! It's a shop that is rooted in the local community - delicious, thank you for the meal.

Salon IG is a shop located in Hassamu, Nishi-ku, Sapporo. The origin of the name is unknown, but for some reason, it's called a salon. The shop is located inside the Sapporo Tekko Industrial Park Center. The menu is quite reasonable, especially the daily bento for 450 yen. The daily bento comes with 6 side dishes and miso soup. The atmosphere is like a company or school cafeteria, but it's still a great value for money. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

Sapporo, Nishi-ku, Hassamu. Along the Shitateinashi Street, near Kotoni Industrial High School. This area used to be known as the "steel industry estate" where factories were gathered, such as gear factories, metal processing companies, etc. Among them is a burnt brown old-looking building. It's surprising to find a restaurant like this in this area! I found out about this place from reviews by MB-san and Kitano Momitaro-san, so I decided to visit this shop. "Salon IG" Glass greenhouse with lush indoor plants. On the right side of the entrance of the building, there is a plant-filled area that looks like a botanical garden, and I entered the building while glancing at it. Next to the entrance of the building that looks like a community center, there is a sign saying "Salon IG" and a sample of the daily bento is displayed next to the entrance. Inside the store, there seems to be over 50 seats, a relatively spacious area. During lunchtime, about 80% of the seats were taken, and there were men in work clothes, suits, gas station uniforms, men who took off their ties, men, men...mostly men, and the ratio of older men is high! There are economic magazines, newspapers, comics for men, and weekly magazines in the magazine rack. At first, I felt a bit out of place when I entered alone... but! There were about four friendly female staff who greeted me with a smile and guided me to my seat. The atmosphere was very pleasant ❤️ The menu includes: - Daily bento 450 yen - Soba bento (daily bento + soba) 500 yen - Katsu-don 500 yen - Curry rice (with salad) 500 yen - Katsu curry (with salad) 650 yen - Omelette rice (with miso soup) 550 yen - Katsudon (with miso soup) 600 yen... and more Various items are around 500 yen! So cheap~~~❤️ At first, influenced by MB-san, I planned to eat Katsu curry or Katsu-don, but seeing everyone in front of me ordering "soba bento", I decided to go with that. ● Soba bento (daily bento + soba) 500 yen A large bento box with plenty of rice! It's like two bowls of rice (!). The side dishes include: spring rolls, sweet potato tempura, burdock and tofu stew, burdock salad, stir-fried long tempura and komatsuna, and ham spaghetti. In addition, warm tanuki soba in a small bowl is served. Each side dish has a homely, household taste. With a variety of small portions, it doesn't get boring. The soba is boiled noodles with a slightly salty broth, like standing soba. After finishing everything, the portion was too much, and I felt like my stomach was going to burst! The volume is definitely understandable as being for men. I get it, 100%. But the friendly ladies at the shop make it welcoming, so I can go alone again next time. Since I sometimes pass by this street, I might visit again. Next time, I'll try the Katsu curry or Katsu-don! 🌟

I was surprised to find a cafeteria in such a place! This is my second review, so I'll keep it simple. Even though it's my second time reviewing, I come here once a month for work because it's cheap, filling, and tastes like home-cooked food, which is hard to find. Last time I had the large omurice, so this time I went for the large tonkatsu curry! It's like having home-cooked curry with tonkatsu. The curry with potatoes, carrots, onions, and pork, along with the piping hot tonkatsu, is just perfect! Simple is best! Thank you for the meal as always!

In July 2017, I, a lover of eggs, eat egg dishes every morning. For rice meals, I must have either TKG or natto tamago with raw eggs, and for other meals, scrambled eggs or ham and eggs are a must. I eat at least one egg almost every day, sometimes as many as 5 or 6. On a Tuesday at 13:40, with no other customers in sight, I ask, "Is it still okay?" to which the master replies, "Of course, please come in." I smoothly enter the restaurant and take a seat at a table by the window. For a moment, I consider having ramen, but feeling good about being welcomed with a smile, I decide on omurice. The restaurant only serves lunch from 11 to 2, and they are already starting to clean up, but my omurice is ready in about 5 minutes. The dish is served on a waved rectangular plate, making it look like a square due to an optical illusion or the symmetry of the shredded cabbage and ketchup. I dig in with a spoon, enjoying the taste of the chicken rice and ketchup spread over the egg. No more customers come in, and I pay at the register before leaving, saying, "Thank you for the meal."

I was expecting a finish similar to a salon, but it was nothing like Vidal Sassoon! The interior of the restaurant felt more like a cafeteria. I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to say, but I wanted to feel refreshed like in a salon, but it fell short. Perhaps it was due to the dry meat and onions. The building surroundings seemed a bit neglected and the interior was bland, giving off a somewhat eerie vibe at night. However, the toilet had a nostalgic countryside feel. Upon entering, the smokiness bothered me, but I was able to sense a hint of nostalgia reminiscent of the old days of a warm swimming pool. While the daily specials were appealing, I opted for the pork cutlet lunch box. After ordering and waiting a bit, the pork cutlet lunch box arrived. I started with the cutlet. The breading easily separated and made it difficult to eat, but the cutlet itself had a nice crispy texture. The side dishes that came with the set were the same for all menu items, which I realized as I continued eating. The pumpkin croquette had a nice sweetness, the pork cutlet had a tough and chewy texture. It was far from the salon-like finish I was hoping for! The rice was disappointing, lacking stickiness and some grains were crushed, with a slightly burnt color. This, paired with the tough pork cutlet, brought my excitement down a notch. Overall rating 3.1, taste 2.8, service 3.3, atmosphere 3.0, value for money 3.4. Drink - Location: Sapporo, Nishi Ward, Hassamu 14-jo 12-chome 2-12, Co-op Sapporo Danchi Tekko Center 1st floor, Salon IG (Cafeteria inside Co-op Sapporo Danchi Tekko Center). ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ Vidal Sassoon! Strangely enough, I want to give it another try.

On June 1, 2017, I passed through the Tekko Industrial Park and visited a client in Teine-ku. Along the way, I noticed this building. I made my first visit on Monday at 11:55 am, and at the entrance, there was a sample of the daily lunch set. There were 2 customers eating, 3 waiting to be seated, and I chose a table by the window. I saw the words "Katsu" on the menu for a one-coin price, and even though I originally wanted Katsu curry, the one-coin deal was too tempting to pass up. More customers came in, and within 10 minutes of entering, the place was about 70% full. The dish that arrived was completely different from what I had imagined. When I looked at the menu again, I saw "Katsu Ju Bento" and it all made sense. Plus, it was a great deal at 500 yen. There were only two pieces of Katsu, but there were other side dishes too. It felt like a company cafeteria, but the food was delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere at the salon was nice and I wanted to relax there. Some people had already paid and left by the time I finished eating, and the place was now full. I noticed many people ordering the "Katsu Curry" while I was eating. I'll have to try that next time.

I have visited this shop several times. It is located in Hassamu Tekko Industrial Park. There are few eateries nearby, so it is quite convenient. As it is an industrial park, customers start coming in around noon. The taste is good, but the cooks seem a bit unprofessional, so depending on the time, you may have to wait after ordering. This time, I ordered the extra-large omurice (+60 yen). It arrived in about 20 minutes since it was busy. It was delicious! The portion was good too, so as long as the service time is not an issue, there is nothing to complain about. The tonkatsu curry was also full of ingredients and tasty! The daily bento box is only 450 yen! Oh, the katsudon was... not that great maybe. The ankake yakisoba was also... well... a bit lacking. The daily special (450 yen) with a mini soba on top equals the soba bento (500 yen) seems to be the best menu option.
