Sapporo, Nishi-ku, Hassamu. Along the Shitateinashi Street, near Kotoni Industrial High School. This area used to be known as the "steel industry estate" where factories were gathered, such as gear factories, metal processing companies, etc. Among them is a burnt brown old-looking building. It's surprising to find a restaurant like this in this area! I found out about this place from reviews by MB-san and Kitano Momitaro-san, so I decided to visit this shop. "Salon IG" Glass greenhouse with lush indoor plants. On the right side of the entrance of the building, there is a plant-filled area that looks like a botanical garden, and I entered the building while glancing at it. Next to the entrance of the building that looks like a community center, there is a sign saying "Salon IG" and a sample of the daily bento is displayed next to the entrance. Inside the store, there seems to be over 50 seats, a relatively spacious area. During lunchtime, about 80% of the seats were taken, and there were men in work clothes, suits, gas station uniforms, men who took off their ties, men, men...mostly men, and the ratio of older men is high! There are economic magazines, newspapers, comics for men, and weekly magazines in the magazine rack. At first, I felt a bit out of place when I entered alone... but! There were about four friendly female staff who greeted me with a smile and guided me to my seat. The atmosphere was very pleasant ❤️ The menu includes: - Daily bento 450 yen - Soba bento (daily bento + soba) 500 yen - Katsu-don 500 yen - Curry rice (with salad) 500 yen - Katsu curry (with salad) 650 yen - Omelette rice (with miso soup) 550 yen - Katsudon (with miso soup) 600 yen... and more Various items are around 500 yen! So cheap~~~❤️ At first, influenced by MB-san, I planned to eat Katsu curry or Katsu-don, but seeing everyone in front of me ordering "soba bento", I decided to go with that. ● Soba bento (daily bento + soba) 500 yen A large bento box with plenty of rice! It's like two bowls of rice (!). The side dishes include: spring rolls, sweet potato tempura, burdock and tofu stew, burdock salad, stir-fried long tempura and komatsuna, and ham spaghetti. In addition, warm tanuki soba in a small bowl is served. Each side dish has a homely, household taste. With a variety of small portions, it doesn't get boring. The soba is boiled noodles with a slightly salty broth, like standing soba. After finishing everything, the portion was too much, and I felt like my stomach was going to burst! The volume is definitely understandable as being for men. I get it, 100%. But the friendly ladies at the shop make it welcoming, so I can go alone again next time. Since I sometimes pass by this street, I might visit again. Next time, I'll try the Katsu curry or Katsu-don! 🌟
