All of my usual restaurants were closed, so I had to come all the way to the outskirts of town. I was thinking of getting a convenience store bento, but luckily this place was open. I've never ordered here before, so I looked at the photos on Tabelog and decided on the Ebi Chili Don (shrimp chili over rice) for 900 yen. There were about 5 customers ahead of me, and the food hasn't come out yet, so I wonder how long it will take.

I used to not really like fried rice when I tried it before, but I decided to visit this restaurant to see if other dishes were better. The interior of the restaurant was relatively plain. I think it is run by a humble lady and a friendly gentleman, who even greeted me from the kitchen. [Chinjao Rosu Set] - Chinjao Rosu: Slightly sweet flavor. Overall, it was gentle and tasty, and it paired well with rice. I really enjoyed this dish. - Shoyu Ramen: The toppings included green onions, menma, and a thin slice of chashu, keeping it simple. The noodles were from Doto Seimen and were a bit too firm, probably due to overcooking (haha). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the soup, which had a surprisingly delicious and mild flavor with a subtle depth. Overall, based on the flavor of this shoyu ramen, I wouldn't underestimate their other ramen dishes. I visited around 1 pm in December 2022♪ I used to love the ankake yakisoba here when it was in Showa, and I used to come here about twice a week, but since it moved, it's been quite far from my home... It's been a few years since I last visited. There was one group of customers before me and one after me♪ I ordered fried rice, ankake yakisoba, and a Chinese bowl (for my companion). The dishes arrived in about 10 minutes♪ [Fried Rice] They probably use chemical seasonings, but the taste is just right, not too strong or too weak, and delicious (๑´ڡ`๑)♪ The ingredients are simple too!! I love simple fried rice like this!! [Ankake Yakisoba] A gently flavored simple yakisoba♪ Cabbage, bean sprouts, bell peppers, and pork, I think? However, I felt it was more oily than when I had it before. Maybe my taste buds have changed? Or maybe I've just gotten older? Nevertheless, it's still delicious (๑´ڡ`๑) I think there was only the owner before the move, but here it seems the wife is also here!! I visited a Chinese restaurant called "Chuka Ryori Koutou" for the first time in Kushiro. Unfortunately, the ramen shop I originally planned to visit was closed, so I decided to try this nearby Chinese restaurant instead. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 600 yen, which was ready in about 3 minutes. The ramen looked like the typical Kushiro style ramen with soft noodles and a light soup base. The toppings included chashu, menma, negi, and nori. Overall, it was a simple and satisfying meal. I would like to try their fried rice or yakisoba next time.

The other day on Sunday, I went to Tsuruno in order to visit my partner's parents. On the way back, we decided to grab something to eat since it was lunchtime, and we ended up at this restaurant. It had been about 6 years since my last visit, so I couldn't remember what I had eaten before. This time, I ordered the Seafood Ankake Fried Rice, and my partner ordered the Seafood Ankake Yakisoba. Both dishes were delicious. The flavor of the ankake sauce was unique and not commonly found in Kushiro. It's hard to describe the taste. Looking at other people's photos on food review websites, it seems like the seasoning for the Five Ingredient Ankake Yakisoba is different. The restaurant was getting busier as more people came in, and by the time we left, it was full. It seems like they are doing well. Next time, I might try the fried rice.

Today, I was in the mood for fried rice, so I decided to try a new place for lunch. I had been interested in this restaurant for a while after reading reviews on Tabelog. Some said it was "fluffy" while others said it was "moist"... which is it really? I wanted to find out for myself. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes and the portion seemed normal. I took a scoop with my spoon and noticed that the rice was soft. I took a bite and realized that this was definitely a "moist" fried rice. It wasn't greasy, but the rice was on the softer side. I also noticed that it was not very oily. The first thing I tasted was the saltiness, which was quite strong. It lingered in my mouth. As someone who prefers a fluffy fried rice, I was a bit disappointed. The Chinese soup was delicious though. It seems like this fried rice is popular here, as the customer before me ordered some to go and the one after me ordered a large portion. It made me realize once again that everyone's taste buds are different. If I have the chance, I would like to try other dishes here. The Chicken miso katsu set included crispy katsu with a rich miso sauce that was delicious and made the rice disappear quickly. We ended up ordering an extra serving of rice. The ramen that came with the set was soy sauce flavored and was surprisingly tasty. The Ebi chili don chosen by my companion had a slightly sour and mildly spicy sauce with well-cooked onions and green peppers, along with five medium-sized shrimp. The sauce was generous and the dish was very tasty. Overall, the meal was very delicious. Thank you for the feast.

Our order consisted of: - Karaage Surprise Donburi (900 yen) - Miso-Glazed Ground Meat Rice Bowl (900 yen) - Gyoza (450 yen) - Draft Beer x2 (550 yen each) The dishes were served in about 10-15 minutes. Karaage Surprise Donburi: This dish consisted of rice topped with karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and fried gyoza, all covered in a sweet vinegar sauce. The karaage was juicy, the fried gyoza was crispy and delicious, and the tangy sweet vinegar sauce added a nice touch. Miso-Glazed Ground Meat Rice Bowl: This dish was spicy but also had a sweet miso flavor, with a generous amount of sauce. The texture of the onions and green peppers in the sauce added to the overall enjoyment of the dish. It was filling and satisfying. Gyoza: The gyoza had a perfect crispy sear on the outside, with a juicy meat filling inside. They were delicious and enjoyable to eat. Hoikoro set: Hoikoro, small ramen, and rice set. Unfortunately, there is no picture of the ramen... The ramen in the set defaults to soy sauce flavor. You can change it to miso flavor for an additional 50 yen. The ramen seems to have improved in taste compared to before, despite the use of artificial seasoning. The Hoikoro was, as always, delicious. Sauce Yakisoba: Yakisoba with pork, cabbage, bell peppers, and onions. The crispy vegetables are enjoyable. It's still delicious as always. The flavor is strong, so it may not be suitable for those who prefer milder flavors. I saw the wife serving customers for the first time in a while on this day. Also, the disposable chopsticks were in a bag. Is this also a measure against COVID-19? There was alcohol for disinfection at the entrance. Spicy seafood shio ramen: It has a fragrant sesame oil aroma. The spiciness from the doubanjiang is just right. Personally, the most delicious ramen I've had at Koutou. Seafood ankake yakisoba: It was piping hot, with a lot of steam. The ingredients included shrimp, scallops, squid, onions, carrots, and green peppers. Although there weren't many shrimp and scallops, they were plump. The noodles had some crispy parts. The sauce was plentiful and well-seasoned. Very delicious. The fried rice was as tasty as always. I didn't compare everything, but I wonder if they increased the prices by 50 yen each since before the tax hike? I prefer moist-style fried rice over the separated grain style, and I enjoyed the fried rice here which was moist. If I had to nitpick, the flavor of the rice itself was a bit lacking. I wish there was more flavor coming from ingredients like green onions, eggs, and ham. The soup served on the side was also delicious, and I have decided to come back again.

We visited with a friend, arriving before 9 PM on Sunday with no other customers. We ordered: - Fried rice 700 yen + Large portion - Price unknown - Hoikoro (Stir-fried pork and vegetables) 850 yen - Draft beer 500 yen We shared the dishes. The fried rice was fluffy and flavorful with a deep umami taste. The saltiness of the char siu and the spiciness of the black pepper were delicious. The Hoikoro had pork, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, onions, and shiitake mushrooms. The vegetables had a good texture, and the pork was thick and satisfying. The balance of sweetness and spiciness was just right. The owner probably gained experience at a Chinese restaurant or hotel. We recommend the stir-fried dishes over ramen. I searched for a ramen shop I hadn't been to on Tabelog and found a Chinese restaurant in the back streets of Hoshigaura. I went there right away. I didn't know there was a Chinese restaurant in such a place. I parked my car in the parking lot in front of the store and went inside. The interior of the store was like an old-fashioned town diner. It was just before lunch, and there were no other customers. I sat in the raised seating area on the left after entering and looked at the menu. I also wanted to try the Ankake Yakisoba, but I ordered the "Fried Rice and Small Ramen Set." After waiting for about 10 minutes, the fried rice set was served. The ramen looked simple, typical of Kushiro ramen. I took a sip of the soup from the small ramen first... it was light. There was almost no umami flavor. The noodles were thin, typical of Kushiro style. The chashu was a bit salty. The fried rice was moist and slightly salty, which I liked. However, after eating the fried rice, when I drank the ramen soup, it had almost no flavor. Only the fried rice was delicious.

I remember it was supposed to be 1280 yen for fried rice with ramen and 3 dumplings... The portions of fried rice and ramen were a bit small, but it was just enough and I enjoyed it.
