I want to go back again! I went to Nikuya's curry. I chose the Zangi curry with brown rice. There was a lot of Zangi on top, juicy and delicious, and even though I ordered a medium portion, my stomach felt like it was going to burst.

Located near the intersection where Nishino Area and Nishino-Tonden Street intersect at a right angle, this curry restaurant has parking spaces on the side of the building. My wife and I were curious about this curry restaurant, so we decided to visit for lunch. The interior had a bright and café-like atmosphere with table seating. Since it was still early after opening, there were few customers when we arrived, but by the time we left, the place was filled with customers. The menu only offers curry topped with meat, such as chicken cutlet, zangi (deep-fried chicken), hamburger steak, steak, and a special three-meat platter. I ordered the "Chicken Cutlet Curry (Regular) for 880 yen," and my wife ordered the "Hamburger Curry (Regular) for 1,000 yen." Even the regular size of the chicken cutlet was large, and the regular hamburger was noted as 300g, so the larger portions must be quite substantial. After an 8-minute wait, our orders arrived. As shown in the photos, the rice was topped with a large portion of meat, and the curry sauce was served in a separate dish. Even the regular size was quite filling, so those with smaller appetites may find the half-size portion sufficient. The curry focused on the meat, with the chicken cutlet having a crispy texture and the hamburger being juicy. While I found the meat delicious, I felt that the curry sauce itself lacked depth and was overshadowed by the meat. Curry preferences vary, but considering the generous portions at a reasonable price, this place is a good choice for those craving meat-based curry dishes.

I had been curious about this restaurant before 11:30 in December 2022. I entered the store, sanitized my hands, and sat at the counter seat. I was the only customer. The menu mentioned, "Our curry has meat as the main topping for rice (laughs)" and "Niku-ya's curry focuses on meat as the main ingredient. We want you to enjoy plenty of carefully selected meat based on our many years of experience as a butcher! We also pay attention to selecting high-quality rice for our curry at Niku-ya. Please enjoy the curry that only Niku-ya can offer to your heart's content." I was drawn to the recommended Pork Cutlet Curry, but I ordered the classic Chicken Cutlet Curry Regular (880 yen) with 150g of 2-minute brown rice. I waited a little while. It was served in about 12 minutes. First, I was overwhelmed by its appearance. The chicken cutlet covered the plate, hiding the rice. When I lifted the chicken cutlet, I found 2-minute brown rice and pickles of daikon, carrot, and cucumber. There was only a little onion left, and the curry roux had melted into the ingredients. The curry roux was watery with low viscosity, mild, and I could taste the sweetness of the vegetables. The outer layer of the cutlet was crispy, and although it didn't release meat juices, the thin chicken was easy to eat. I ate the voluminous chicken cutlet with the roux. I realized that I was running out of roux as I continued to eat the cutlet, rice, and curry in that order. The firmly cooked 2-minute brown rice went well with the curry roux. It would have been nice to have sauce or soy sauce to dip the cutlet in. It was a delightful meal.

This time, I ordered the whimsical 3-kind assortment because I couldn't finish it last time. (1000 yen) As soon as the plate arrived, it was already a work of art! The curry was delicious, and the roast beef, braised pork, and spicy chicken were all excellent in taste. Each vegetable was also perfectly seasoned, making it a top-notch dish.

Around 3pm on a holiday, the place had a stylish cafe-like atmosphere despite its name. I ordered a 150g cheese hamburger with 200g brown rice curry for 980 yen, and a 1-piece chicken cutlet curry with 250g white rice for 880 yen. The service was polite and pleasant.

It was far from home but I had never tried it before, so I came with a friend. I really wanted to try the pork cutlet curry, but here you can choose from chicken cutlet, zangi, hamburger, or plain fried chicken. So I decided to go with the dangerous combo of chicken cutlet and hamburger. After making my selection, I noticed the recommended menu on the wall. They had pork cutlet, of course. Oh well, it can't be helped. This time, I decided to share the chicken cutlet and hamburger. To be honest, the balance between the rice and meat was not great. If I had to complain, I would say don't order the dangerous combo. The hamburger was easy to eat, but the chicken had too much breading and I might get tired of it. Both were flat, so I might prefer them cooked with a bit more thickness.

I went to a curry restaurant that I was curious about. I was interested in the recommended curry, but I was drawn to the word "Dangerous" on the menu and ordered the Chicken Cutlet Curry Dangerous for 1100 yen. The curry sauce had a rich flavor with the ingredients melted in. The chicken cutlet was made from locally sourced chicken, thinly sliced and fried into cutlets, which were tender and delicious. However, I completely underestimated the portion size. It was much larger than I expected. Even though I kept eating, the rice didn't seem to decrease and I couldn't finish it all. I experienced the feeling of a competitive eater for the first time, haha. I ended up taking the cutlet home. The other photo is of the recommended menu item that my companion ordered, the Shihoro beef hamburger beef curry. I look forward to trying a different order next time. I am excited to go back again.

I walked to my parents' house around noon today. I had never walked this far before, but it felt surprisingly close when I got there. Since the store opens at 11:00, I aimed to arrive shortly after opening. I arrived around 11:10 and stood in front of the store... Are they open!? I peeked inside and saw a sign saying "open" so it seemed like they were. There were no other customers, so the lights inside were not on... The store's exterior looked like it was originally a private house that had been renovated for use. It was different from the old houses I had seen today. I sat at a table for two and looked at the menu... After some thought, I decided to order the "Chef's Special 3 Meat Curry" for $10 with a large serving. You can choose between white rice and brown rice. I chose brown rice. After ordering, it took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. It was placed in front of me... The brown rice serving was 350g for the large size, but it felt like a small amount... The three types of meat were served in small portions around it. It wasn't as much as I expected, lacking in volume. The curry sauce was runny. I wondered how I should eat it... I decided to dip the meat in the curry sauce before eating. The brown rice was okay, nothing special, but it tasted good with the curry. The spiciness was not too strong. The beef steak didn't need curry... The same goes for the braised pork and chicken. I ate the meat while eating the brown rice curry in between. The beef was decently tasty but in small quantity. The chicken was well seasoned. The pork was not juicy and was mediocre... I think it would be better with the braising liquid. Even when eaten with curry, it felt mediocre. After finishing the meal and drinking water, I left quickly as more customers arrived. Overall, I think my expectations were too high...

I went to Nikuya Curry for lunch today! The curry was delicious and packed with meat, just as you would expect from a curry shop run by a butcher. As someone with a big appetite (48 years old), I was very happy with the generous portions. Great value for money. Thank you for the meal!

I finally visited a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It's located in the back of Nishino. There is no prominent sign, just a regular house. I ordered the regular Chicken Katsu Curry with 200g of white rice. What came out was Chicken Katsu occupying 95% of the plate. When I asked how to eat it, they said you can pour the curry over it or dip it, whichever you prefer. I tried pouring the curry over the rice and dipping the Katsu. The Katsu had a crispy coating and tender chicken inside. It seems like they take good care in preparing it. If you want it spicier, you can add extra spices. The menu recommended the Zangi Curry as well. I might try that next time.

I went to a popular curry restaurant called "Nikuya no Curry" in Nishi-no-kita, West District. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, which was served with brown rice. The chicken katsu was crispy and flavorful, and the curry sauce complemented it well. The portion size was satisfying, and the overall meal was delicious and healthy. The restaurant was busy, but the service was quick and friendly. I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this place to others.

Visited the curry restaurant "Niku-ya no Curry" on January 22, 2021. If you're a woman, you might want to go for the half size portion. The photo is of the "Chicken Cutlet Curry Regular" size. Honestly, it's a lot (laughs). For those big eaters, there seems to be a "Dangerous Size" option with double the amount! (laughs) Someone should give it a try. I couldn't finish it all and left a little bit... embarrassing. But hey, I'm getting old, so it can't be helped (laughs). The meat was tender and delicious, like the chicken from Nakasatsunai. It may look thin, but it's actually quite juicy. However, lately my metabolism and digestion have been bad. I get full quickly and my stomach feels heavy... I'm done for (laughs). Thanks for the meal!

It's curry from a butcher shop. You can enjoy various types of meat. The presentation is stylish and Instagram-worthy. However, each item didn't taste that amazing. Also, the curry sauce was surprisingly average, like something you could make at home. Recommended for those who want to eat a lot of meat.

- Chicken Cutlet Curry Regular (large piece) for 825 yen. Located in Sapporo's Nishi Ward, Nishino, this curry shop is a bit hard to reach without a car. The recommended dish is the very large Chicken Cutlet Curry, which is visually impressive but not as heavy as it looks! The interior of the shop is clean and has a sense of cleanliness. I visited at 11:00, but the shop was not open until around 11:05. The large Chicken Cutlet made with chicken from Nakasatsunai Village in Hokkaido is visually striking, almost hiding the rice underneath! The cutlet is slightly flattened (otherwise it would be impossible to finish!) and the coating is light and crispy, not as heavy as it appears. However, I think it may be frozen because there was a slightly moist and soft texture between the coating and the chicken, which was a bit disappointing. The curry is a delicious Western-style curry, not very spicy or hot, with the meat being the main focus. The rice can be chosen in 150g, 200g, or 250g portions for free, and I chose 200g this time. It is brown rice, which complements the heavy meat well. Overall, it is an interesting curry with a structure that highlights the meat, but for someone who prefers a more balanced flavor, they may not feel the need to revisit. I would rate it 3.3 stars from that perspective. Thank you for the meal!

This is a curry restaurant located deep inside Nishino. It's far from the station, but the parking lot is quite small. The interior of the shop is stylish, like a cafe. The menu is extensive, with daily recommendations available. It's great that you can choose the portion size. I had the whimsical three-curry plate. Today's selection included chicken tomato stew, roast pork, and simmered pork, all of which were delicious. The side dishes were also tasty. The curry is not as liquid as soup curry, but it has a soup-like consistency similar to roux curry, and it goes well with any topping. It's delicious, filling, and offers good value for money.

Today I wanted to eat a lot, so I went to Nikuya Curry-san. It's the same place where Chutta Nishino store used to be. The atmosphere inside the restaurant remains the same. The service from the staff is lovely. They are taking proper measures against COVID-19. I ordered the Dangerous Hamburg Curry (1350 yen) from the menu and also ordered 150g of rice. It was served without much of a wait. The Hamburg had a dominating presence!! The Dangerous Hamburg comes with two 300g Hamburg steaks on the plate. The curry is served in a separate container. It's clear that the meat is the star of this curry. The Hamburg steak is thin and flat. The curry has a good amount, allowing you to eat as much as you want. It's quite delicious. The curry doesn't have a strong spice flavor, it's more of a blend of various flavors. There are no additional ingredients in the curry. It has a slight spiciness, with extra chili available in a separate container. While it's not bad, personally, I would prefer the curry to have a stronger presence. But considering that the meat is the main focus, maybe this level of flavor is just right. In the end, I was able to enjoy the 600g Hamburg Curry. I could eat it quickly because it was Hamburg, but with other menu items, I might get too full. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely visit again~.

I finally visited the curry restaurant that I had been curious about for a while! I was a bit worried about the large portion size based on the menu photos, so I decided to go all out and order the regular Chicken Cutlet Curry <large size, 250g rice>. I didn't have the courage to order the Dangerous <2 large pieces> option. The restaurant, despite offering bold menu items, had a refreshing cafe-like atmosphere by the sea, which was unexpected. It was interesting to enjoy curry in this setting. It seems that the Chicken Cutlet Curry is a popular choice as several groups that came in after me also ordered it. However, it took quite some time for the food to be served. Finally, after a wait, the dish arrived! The curry sauce was served separately, which I personally liked. Even the regular portion size was quite generous. The Chicken Cutlet was not only large but also juicy and tender, thanks to the local chicken from Nakasatsunai Village. The rice was not plain white rice but mainly brown rice, which was light and complemented the meat well. The curry sauce was not very spicy, allowing you to adjust the heat level to your liking, but I found the subtle spiciness to be just right. I started feeling full towards the end, but managed to finish the meal while still savoring the delicious flavors.

After a low mountain hike, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch at a place I've been wanting to go to - Nikuya no Curry. This place was previously known as Chutta Nishino store, but it closed down and Nikuya no Curry opened in its place. My wife isn't a fan of curry, so it's been hard to find the right timing to visit. But today, after our hike, we made it happen. We arrived around 1:00 PM and managed to get a seat just in time before more customers started coming in. I ordered the Chicken Cutlet Curry with a regular portion of rice and an extra 150g of rice as a topping. The rice is actually a topping here, with the main focus being on the meat. I also tried the Amazake Smoothie with mixed berries, and it was delicious. The chicken cutlet was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the curry was flavorful. The hot oil on the side added an extra kick to the dish. The portion was surprisingly generous, and I was satisfied with just the meat alone. The curry here is definitely worth trying, and the staff were friendly, creating a nice atmosphere for a relaxing meal. I'll definitely be back to try their Zangi Curry next time. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing! The main focus is on meat and rice, with the curry sauce serving as a delicious accompaniment. It's a unique concept for a restaurant, but once you try the food, you'll understand why. The meat platter included chicken steak, simmered pork, and lamb chops, all of which were tender and flavorful. The lamb chops, cooked just until a hint of pink remained, were especially delicious. Each bite allows you to savor the meat's natural flavor, and then you can dip it in the curry for a different taste experience. The curry itself is also fantastic, with a rich vegetable flavor that blends perfectly. This is a must-visit for curry and meat lovers. Just keep in mind that since the focus is on meat, you can't choose the spiciness level of the curry, and it's quite spicy, similar to a level 2-3 at Coco Ichibanya.

I saw it on TV and decided to check it out. The restaurant specializes in meat curry. The interior is charming, like a cafe. The chicken cutlet seems to be a popular choice. Today, I was in the mood for hamburger. The hamburger is served on top of rice, making a big impression. The curry is served separately in a roux type. You can dip, pour, or mix it however you like. There's a spicy oil that adds a chili-like heat that you can adjust to your liking. Of course, I used all of it. The side dishes are delicious. I feel like eating a salad-sized portion. The portion size is generous and the cost performance is very good. It's a good choice when you want to eat heartily.

I was a bit disappointed when my favorite Soup Curry restaurant, Chutta, changed its name to Luca Curry. I decided to give it a try with some expectations. I ordered the Hamburger Curry in half portion with 150g of rice, the Chicken Cutlet Curry in regular portion with 200g of rice, and the Zangi (fried chicken) Curry in regular portion with 150g of rice. When the dishes arrived, I couldn't help but laugh at the amount of food served - it was a lot! I asked the staff if I could take the leftovers home, and they kindly provided me with a container. The taste was pretty good, and I thought I wouldn't mind coming back for more. I also learned that on the 29th of every month, they offer a limited 20 servings of curry for ¥500, which is a great deal. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied.
